24 hour stay whilst dealing with an Embassy matter. I choose the River Inn because of it proximity to the Embassy. I really enjoyed the quiet residential location. The elevator engine/guest doors/bells could not be heard from my room. The room itself was a great size, with sofa, desk and kitchenette. Mattress was 10/10 as was the quality of the bedding. Lots of modern charging points! Bathroom was what you expect in a big city hotel so no complaints, but perhaps lighting could be a little stronger when applying make-up. The hairdryer had great power and the amazing front desk staff kindly gave me a comb as I had forgotten to pack one. I enjoyed the coffee machine in the my kitchenette but as I prefer real milk it meant I had to go out to find a cafe. It is my understanding that the downstairs bar will provide coffee and breakfast in the future and I think this is a great idea. The desk staff could not have been any more accommodating and the lobby was warm with a roaring fire and comfortable seating. The bar looked really inviting but it was sadly closed due to Covid. I was really pleasantly surprised how well this hotel is run and what it had to offer in its price range. I would stay again.

Lauren from the front desk was absolutely Amazing! Her attentiveness and customer service was A1. I will definitely be staying again. Although we talked briefly she was knowledgeable and spot on with her suggestions. PROMOTE HER. Can’t wait to visit again.

Had a lovely stay here to celebrate my birthday weekend with my boyfriend. Everything was great! It felt very COVID safe. Anything we needed was properly accommodated. The staff was excellent and lively, particularly Adrienne who offered such great recommendations of where to eat and visit. Very friendly atmosphere! Great location. Most importantly, we both slept very well and felt super comfortable. Look forward to staying here again next time we visit!

I have been staying at the River Inn for a couple of months and I have had nothing less of an incredible experience. The service here is amazing and the staff is constantly working to make sure you have the best stay. I’m a student living in the DC area and The River Inn has been such a great place to stay during my semester. Specifically, Adrienne Lumain was such a help when we were booking our hotel and she has continued to be such a great help during our time at the hotel. The River Inn is located in the perfect location and I constantly feel safe thanks to the hotel’s security and someone at the front desk 24/7. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the DC area. Such a great hotel and amazing service.

I am a student in the DC area and was looking for a place to live as Covid prevents us from being on campus. I stumbled upon the River Inn and immediately recognized the homey feel, the staff was extremely welcoming and catered to every need. Adrienne Lumain, was particularly helpful, always with a cheery disposition and open to helping me with wifi and any other specific needs for my online schooling. She is such a joy to see as I enter the building. The River Inn is particularly safe with the pandemic and that was definitely something I was counting on. I have really enjoyed living here for the past few months and cannot wait to visit again!
