As of today I have filed 2 complaints one is Federal on the absurd charges they decide to do without any explanation like your resort fee you weren't told about or the couple of extra hundred dollars of authorizations they have held on your card for a lot longer then they advise, their demeanor got me asking questions with a trip that should have been about being a productive trip, in Zoom interviews, what I got instead of Rick Vasquez demanding additional authorizations interrupting 2 meetings for more authorizations. YOU BEHAVED WORSE THEN HOLIDAY INN This is very unusual if your already booked into many hotels they did have my card on file,. I asked to deal with someone else so a lady assistant manager was quick to give his card to me as she doesn't seem to enjoy working with him either. There was no reason for him to take the approach they did, where am I going to go on the 8th floor of course I am coming down! HOW DARE YOU take away the ONLY DAY I had to make my future better while I HAVE ALREADY PAID to be somewhere and you make all this about you and your importance. HE SHOULD BE FIRED RIGHT ON THE SPOT. Even before pissed off, none of them are concerned with your satisfaction even when I did mention about one staff that was excellent, they have an attitude of get the F out of my face from the main asian manager on down to front desk manager Rick Vasquez. IF you only want to deal with fussy gay guys then put up a flag and make it that kind of resort, otherwise stop hating on women or I bring 400 of them to your parking lot close to a #Me To Act. So that is why I told Federal official friends that something isn't right here, but something else is certainly going on then just hospitality as there is none.…
My wife and I were recently moving from Pennsylvania to Virginia. During the long move, we decided to stay overnight at the Kimpton Hotel. I was blown away. The room's very nice and spacious. Clean and tidy. The staff is kind and very knowledgeable. Best of all, all wearing masks and going above and beyond for everything we asked. I especially want to thank the Gentleman at the front desk, Douglas. My wife and I must have bothered you 10+ times on our stay. But each time, you were super helpful and HONEST. Not some customer service bs most people spew. We appreciate that! Give that man a raise! ;D We will be back! Douglas; hope we meet again, my friend!
We stayed at this hotel for two nights while visiting DC. The only good thing at this hotel was the valet service and valet parking. They were very accommodating and wanting to please. Kudos to the Valet! The rest of the hotel experience was below subpar, if that is even possible? I am unsure if we got the last room available or one that was never used. The room was OLD and outdated and reminded us of a cheap hotel room. The room was way too hot and stuffy, with no way of actually turning down the heat despite there being controls. The yellow chair by the desk was disgustingly filthy. There was no coffee machine, mini bar, or robe in the room, as suggested in the room amenities and description. When we initially turned on the water to the shower, a dead fly or spider fell out of the faucet. There was no water pressure, and dribbled from the showerhead. The front desk personnel had attitudes with a rude demeanor as if they were put out because we wanted to check-in. Not sure why they even worked here. They don't seem happy or enjoy their job—definitely zero customer service capability. The neighborhood is fine. The hotel is located northwest of the Whitehouse, about a 30min walk. It is about 4 miles from the DC Capitol, or a 1 1/2 hour walk if that gives you an idea of its location.…
I stayed at this hotel for three nights during the Thanksgiving holiday. It was a JetBlue package vacation pre-paid . During check in the hotel asked for my credit card for incidentals which I gladly handed over. No incidentals were charged to my card but I received a charge from the hotel when I returned home from the trip. Apparently the hotel was a Kimpton when I stayed there but on December 1 changed the Royal Sonesta. Kimpton will not respond to my request for the charge to be reversed or why my card was even charged. Unfortunately this is not a Kimpton hotel anymore and there’s no one there to talk to about it. Beware about giving your credit card to the front desk when you pre-pay for your vacation.I have stayed at this property many times and it is definitely lost its charm.…
The only one good thing about this hotel is his location. Room is outdated. The bathroom could be more clean.$57 per day is too much for parking. There are extra charges after taxes so after all you can find much better hotel for this money.
