We spent there some nites. It is well located, approx. 10 min to the subway. Restaurants are also not far away, say 5 min, and also a wholefood and some convenience shops. Checkin was easy and friendly, if you dont need a minibar, you can deny the key. The room was spacey, great bed, nice furniture, the bathroom spacey and... More

We'd never stayed at a Kimpton property before, and the reason I chose this property for our weekend away was because it was a partner of the National Geographic exhibit, "The Greeks." We were met at the Kimpton Rouge by cheerful, knowledgeable staff who patiently addressed all of our questions and requests. The room itself was large, immaculate, and very... More

Family of four stayed in room during recent DC trip. Excellent location and room was spacious and had pull out bed for our son and a separate day bed for our daughter. Everyone was happy. Shower and bath was small

Just checked out and waiting at airport after a few days in DC with the family. The hotel was great and the checkout service was fantastic with really friendly staff, looked after our bags for a few hours whilst we hit another museum and arranged a great car back to the airport ($45). Rooms are large with plenty of space,... More

Have long been a fan of Kimpton hotels but have been discovering lately that their over the top themey designs fade - and when they fade, they fade really, really fast. If you take the time to really look around this particular hotel, it's in need of an overhaul. Big time. Lots of tears, smudges, worn surfaces and grimey tired... More

If you travel with your "best friend," the Kimpton Rouge Hotel is the place. We typically stay at Kimpton hotels when traveling with Prince and Max. Kimpton hotels are pet friendly. However, the Rouge takes service to another level of excellence when it comes to welcoming your pet. Upon arrival, Prince and Max were warmly welcomed. Tina was amazing with... More

Interesting hotel in a great location. The styling is quite quirky and fun, although the bathroom needs updating. I also found that I needed to cover the floor in towels when showering as water went everywhere. Breakfast was average and fitness centre is minimal. Service varied depending on the staff member.

If you are looking for a short stay in a unique hotel just a block from the Dupont scene, this might be your place. Check-in was super easy, and all the staff couldn't have been more friendly. The room was bright, extremely spacious, and overlooking the main road (maybe I paid extra for that). The room furnishings were fun and... More

We stayed here for 2 nights as a Family of four. We had a large room with 2 double beds. Good air conditioning meant we were comfortable in the high humidity of August in Washington DC. The hotel is a 10 minute can drive from Downtown - although we walked - which took about half an hour, 15 minutes from... More

Check in was miserable. Not welcoming. Felt like I was intruding. Very little air in the common areas. Very warm and uncomfortable walking into the hotel. Along with no or very little air in the common areas it was poorly lit. Breakfast were not good, at all. The rooms was a good size and nicely cleaned with lots of room.... More
