Okay, so there were a few glitches, TV not working, tap lose. Generally though, the place is relaxing and safe and comfortable. the food in the restaurant is excellent (expensive, but excellent). Would return.

The Park Hyatt DC reminds me of 5 star hotels in Europe or Asia. Truly an oasis in the District. Close to everything. Excellent service. Great staff. Extremely accommodating. The salt water pool is the best.

I do no usually write reviews, but I was so unhappy with our stay at the Park Hyatt . The good part was the staff was excellent and the breakfast was delicious. However, the design of the room ( a suite) was so bad that I would not stay again. We went for five nights and the room did not have a dresser and or someplace to put your clothes. The only place to put your clothes were two mini rods to hang your garments and two small wicker baskets, both were in the bathroom. The shower, tub, toilet and the closet (if you call it that) were all in one room. There was no privacy if you wanted to take a bath, shower, dress or use the toilet. Additionally, there was virtually no lighting in the bedroom. There was one light on the nightstand, and two reading lights attached to the headboard. Finally, the AC Vent blew directly on the bed and I had to cover myself with a blanket to keep the AC or heat off my face. Who ever designed the room obviously never travels. A big no for me when traveling to DC again.

We saved this stay for graduation weekend after the four years our daughter spent at GW. Every element of our stay - service at every turn, guest rooms, etc.- felt every bit as 5-star as our stay at the Park Hyatt Paris many years ago. Door/bell staff wam and attentive. Desk staff equally so. Housekeeping impeccable and our Sunday brunch celebration after graduation ceremony was perfect, making basic brunch fare into gourmet treats.

The Park Hyatt was outstanding in all respects - the operation of the business meeting over a two-day period, food & beverage service, and quality of sleeping rooms offered to guests. The hotel staff and technicians were also very friendly.

As a Discoverist, I was able to reserve using Hyatt Points. I am a member of almost every hotel program, I have to tell you this one really stands out. Nice upgrade was appreciated. It was easy to walk to Georgetown or to the White House. One note: the Hot Tub was perfectly hot and clean. Unfortunately, it was noisy even when the air jets are off. The overflow ports make a slurpy noise that is not calming. I have a feeling that the water level is too high or the flow rate for filtration exceeds its engineering design. The restaurant is great and deserves its Michelin Star. It is very busy. If you are in a rush consider Bread and Chocolate nearby for breakfast.

By far, the most functional hotel room I've stayed in. Reminded me of the Andaz Hyatt New York, which I came to know was designed by the same designer. The smallest design details make the biggest of differences compared to other hotels chains, and even other Hyatt locations: 1. Spacious rectangular room layout as opposed to triangular rooms (Hyatt, Baltimore), or narrow rooms (ICG at the Wharf) 2. Dining table to sit and eat or drink. 3. Swivel mount to angle the TV to your liking. 4. Rain shower stall with elegant tiles. And the towels are actually on a towel holder within reach. 5. Bluetooth speaker 6. Coffee / Tea cups and coattail glasses in the rooms. There are likely several things I'm forgetting to mention. The bottom line is this is refreshing room to come back to after a long day, it feels like home. Also, the service was exceptional, from the pre-check-in communications, to the cookies and handwritten note in the room. I stayed at three hotels during my trip, and this is the only one I'm raving about. Thank you to the staff and management at this awesome hotel!

We stayed a weekend for our honeymoon. The staff was very thoughtful and responsive. The soaking tub was sublime. This may be my new favorite hotel. It was nice that the hotel offered a pool and the hot tub. However, the hot tub jets may need to be repaired.
