I've been looking for a go to place for my frequent visits to DC and I may have found one. I saw a good deal and decided to give it a shot and I'm so glad that i did. It's a smaller place situated near a rather mammoth marriott. It's cozy and the staff are extremely friendly and accomodating. When... More

I suggested this historic inn to my husband for an overnight stay. The rooms were calls to the hotel staff, it seems that no one was professional enough to even provide a solution for this inconvenience or even offer to move us to another room to shower . If we knew this before hand, I doubt if anyone would have... More

We were looking for a hotel with character and we were pleased with our stay here. Both the exterior and interior are beautiful in this hotel. It is tucked on a street corner in the downtown, so we found it easy to get everywhere on foot. It was about a 20 minute walk to see the sights in the National... More

DandK0711, Many thanks for your wonderful review! As you noticed, we recently finish a renovations and restoration project; I'm so glad you were pleased with the results. We the unseasonably warm December we had, the Courtyard was in good use for an extended period of time! I hope you enjoyed your trip to DC and if you travel this way... More

The hotel is really beautiful both inside and out, our room was really large, clean and among the best rooms we have stayed in. All of the staff from the front desk, bar, cleaning staff, restaurant were all very nice and friendly. We got lots of good recommendations on what to do and see in Washington DC. The location is... EoCM, Wow! It sounds like you really took advantage of all there was to see and do in DC. I'm happy to hear how warm our staff were and helpful with recommendations. There are so many free Smithsonians and Momuments to visit, restaurants, etc, the staff is a great resource to help guests sort through what the city can offer,... More

I stayed at the Morrison Clark last year at the same time and adored its historic opulence. Since then it underwent some major renovations- I think they acquired the building next door and expanded. My only disappointment with it this year is that the inn has lost its historic feel. The new entry has a sort of oriental opulence to... More

it was my first visit to Washington DC, i picked this hotel becasue it was cheaper than others. the hotel is old building but renovated, the room is clean but small, i thought myself if i am in europe, there is no enough space to move around and you have to climb a steep stairway in order to get to... great staff, beautiful remodeled rooms, delicious food and drinks. We arrived late and the staff was very accommodating. The remodeled rooms are clean and well designed. Special shout out to the evening front desk and the bar tender. As a single woman, traveling to help my daughter relocate, I felt safe!

The hotel is in a good location for public transport and walking to attractions, it had been recently and beautifully refurbished. Room facilities are good and beds superbly comfortable. The included continental breakfast was of good quality. The staff were efficient and friendly.....but somehow lacked atmosphere and buzz....not what we expected from a historic hotel. It seems unfair to feel... More

I spent two nights at the Morrison-clark Historic Inn while visiting relatives. My room was upgraded to a junior suite and was georgeous, comfortable, had a beautiful, modern bathroom, and is in a great location. It is close to metro lines which is great for travelers on business or on vacation in Washington DC. The service was great, curtains closed... More

Only stayed 1 night but would happily have stayed more. Great location for exploring the sights of downtown Washington DC. The room was lovely and comfortable and we slept really well. The hotel had a calm feeling and very quiet and relaxed. Our package included breakfast which was enough to get us on our way and served by a very... More
