What a fantastic stay. Nothing like relaxing at an affordable rate in a wonderful hotel. Had not stayed here in a few years. It was so nice to see none of the ambiance compromised and the quality still there. Great location too.

Good hotel with a nice lobby and good service. Its very well located with a Metro station in the ground floor so its easy to come here from Regan Airport. Rooms are large with traditional decor. Good place to stay!

very nice hotel with great location walking distance from the National Mall. The hotel has a great view. You have a subway station and some convenience store right below. The price is great and the staff very friendly. Highly recommended.

This hotel needs serious improvements. The location is amazing-one of the best places to stay if all you're looking for is proximity to the mall. That's really the only good thing I can say about it. My wife was so disgusted we had to leave after only one night, though we were booked for four. Then, they said they didn't...

The location is great; all the major monuments are within walking distance plus there is a shopping mall next door. The room was big, clean and comfortable but a bit dated; I read somewhere that this hotel was recently renovated. The staff were also relatively friendly. We enjoyed our stay there. Recommended.

This hotel is perfectly located. It is right by the tube station which provides easy access to different parts of central Washington DC. The hotel is beautiful and it has all the amenities you need. Make sure you ask for help for where to go and they will be happy to provide this.

The location is fantastic with the Smithosian at the bottom of the road and other major attractions very close by. The hotel is very comfortable with big rooms. It did not look like the most impressive outside but once you are inside you will be pleased.

There were metro works going on during our stay, (0700-2300 - if they are still ongoing, look at other options as the noise was unbearable!) but that was no ones fault. The room was clean and spacious, although a bit dated. The restaurant and communal areas were lovely, and the pool was excellent! The staff were not the friendliest of...

Note: This hotel is closed for restoration as of Spring, 2014, and so this review may have only historical merit. It sounds like the owners' plan is to make the place somewhat pricier, which is understandable given their investment but would a shame since one of the old L'Enfant Plaza Hotel's best selling points was its value for the location....

Staying at the L'Enfant Plaza Hotel, you really are at the epicenter of the action Washington DC has to offer. They are currently under construction but I can review with emphasis on this location. You really are 2 blocks away from the US Capital/Smithsonian Museum complex... yes, if you didn't know, the Smithsonian Museum is actually a collection of many...

“Job 1: Get the refrigerator! ... and the rooms that have balconies facing the Capital Mall are nice and chances are you'll be in the upper floors where the view is pretty interesting as the skyline is peppered with the taller spires of all those magnificent DC structures and monuments.
