I stayed one night at this hotel, for a short business trip to the DC. The location is great. But the facilities are not... Not to mention the common area, the hair drier didn’t work, the TV wouldn’t turn on, half of the electric plugs didn’t work, etc, etc. The room I stayed loc

This is not a fancy hotel or one with numerous amenities. But it is a perfect hotel to see the city from. Close to all the sites and a couple metro links just minutes away, makes this a perfect launch point to see Washington DC. We walked or road the metro, everywhere we went.

It is a little scruffy but how much time should you be spending in the hotel. I wish I had taken the train. I did not need my car. There is a red bus, the circulator, which goes to the major places. The continental breakfast in the morning worked for me and was cheap enough.

the staff were pleasant and very professional . The rooms and hallways always seems to need to be vacuumed which is a minus. The restaurant that was next door to the hotel thou it was clean, had a limited menu; the staff were very good and courteous.

The most positive spin to put on this hotel is it's amazing location in the city. Walking distance to the mall (main DC monuments and museums area) as well as many great restaurants and shopping. The down side is the kids felt the hotel was too creepy and had they been in charg

If our room isn't available for an early check in, will we still be able to park in the affiliate parking garage until we can check in?
If you can avoid taking a car into D.C., please do so.Public transportation is cheaper and as convenient as your own car. Uber, taxi, Metro, bus abundant in D.C. Also rental bikes from station to station in Smithsonian and White House areas. I hope this helps. gc

Does this hotel have air conditioning? Does it work okay? How about the elevators... do you think they can accommodate wheelchairs? Thanks!
The lifts are small but would accommodate a wheelchair. The hotel has air conditioning but you can’t control the temperature yourself. You have to phone reception and they send a maintenance person to change the temperature. When we visited it was very hot outside but the air conditioning was very cold - too cold. The maintenance man came to our room and hit it with a stick to close the vents a bit. That worked.

How was the breakfast?
Breakfast is fine...fruit, tubs of yoghurt, choice of cereal, juice, all the usual toast options. The hot breakfast options were basically scrambled eggs turkey sausages and Tater tots. Probably get what you pay for but it was absolutely adequate for my family of 5 for the week we stayed 🙂
