Great hotel in perfect location in DC. Carlos is an amazing mixologist. He should be promoted! He was so nice to us throughout our stay and gave us amazing restaurant recommendations while serving us beautiful cocktails. We will come back just for Carlos. On top of that, nice rooftop pool and good recognition of Marriott Ambassador status.

Hi Jorgell2007, thank you for this amazing review! I am 100% positive that you are talking about our awesome bartender Jorge. :) He is pretty amazing indeed, and I know he'll appreciate your comments. (We'll keep this Carlos thing to ourselves, ha!) Seriously, thank you for taking the time and making the effort to review us. It means a lot to hear our team members are making a difference in someone's day. That's what it's all about!! Thanks again, Jennifer

Everything was within walking distance. The bus stop was literally out front and the subway was 1 block away. The rooms were clean. We requested a frig and it came at no extra cost. There is a $28 per day resort fee but they give you breakfast vouchers so it does not cost anything. The area is quite pricy but most of the things to see and do are free so it evens out. Because of the worker shortage, you must ask for housekeeping. We did not need it but did ask for more shampoo and coffee. This is a great place and the staff was so kind.

This property is clean and chic. The front dest staff was professional, friendly, and welcoming. The double-queen-bed room was spacious and there was the treat of a Keurig coffee machine in my room. The restaurant is in the main lobby area and it’s a happening place; hotel guest and local mix & mingle over a drink, and I think we tried almost all of the food items on the menu … in a word, delicious! This hotel has a rooftop pool and it even has a art gallery on the premises! Love the art, layout, and unique design of this property.

I'll pass your compliments on to our teams at reception and in the restaurant, and we'll hope to see you again very soon. Our current featured artist in the gallery is Slavka Kratka, an artist from the Czech Republic. We will be rotating the work in a few months, so you'll just have to come back and see who is featured next. Thanks again, Jennifer

To start I did not stay at the hotel I purchased a pool day pass. Very cute hotel with pleasant employees. The area was clean, spacious w/ lots of sitting areas, and a great view of DuPont Circle. Eli the pool concierge was wonderful; he made my visit very enjoyable. He was polite & extremely accommodating; after sitting for a moment he offered some food & beverage options from there downstairs refrigerated area. Very pleased with the overall experience. Great place to go to sit back and enjoy the day. Found my next staycation!!!!

The Ven met all our expectations and more. The hotel is conveniently located within a very short commute of the Metro. Upon arrival “Lyle at the Front Desk concierge” greeted us with Exceptional customer service. He introduced us to the meaning of “Ven” (Dutch) which in English means “Friend”, he gave us friendship bracelet, tote bag and food & beverage voucher for the onsite Scratch kitchen. Lyle answered all of my inquiries regarding nearby restaurants & entertainment. He offered several recommendations with his own personal experience review. Lyle also explained COVID restrictions the hotel has to follow, rules to the pool and all the amenities the hotel offers. My husband & I were there to celebrate my birthday. 1st day of arrival it was cloudy and raining so we were unable to take advantage of RoofTop pool. Lyle fixed that by offering a late check-out the next day so we may spend time in the pool. The game room was a nice alternative (ping-pong, scrabble board, fuseball, Atari 2Person game) and a well stocked fitness center (24hrs). The hotel and room accommodations were clean, newly renovated and comfortable bedding. The bathroom is a bit small but clean. The hotel was very quiet, we know there were others in the hotel as we saw people in passing or on elevators however we never heard anyone in the room next to us. The onsite Scratch kitchen has a decent breakfast selection, the lunch/dinner menu is very selective. Jorge was our bartender and he made our drinks with such care and detail. Our stay was such a pleasant experience we returned two-weeks later to celebrate my husband birthday. Lyle had not arrived to work by the time we checked-in for our 2nd stay and you can definitely tell the difference in Customer Service. Our room accommodations were still great. Clean, comfortable bedding and serenity. Lyle certainly made both our stays more pleasant. Once Lyle arrived during our 2nd stay he remembered us by name and made sure to call our room once he noticed we had arrived to say “Hello” and once we saw him in the lobby he stopped to chat with us for a moment. I personally rate hotels based on Maintenance, Cleanliness, Room Quality and Customer Service. Ven at Embassy Row rates a 5 in all categories.

Wow, wow, wow! Thank you for giving us such a positive, and thorough, review! I'm so glad you enjoyed your time with us, and particularly that Lyle was able to make your stay. That man is truly a gem! Along with Jorge, of course. I'll be sure to thank them both, and thank YOU for taking the time and care to let us know how we did. We'll hope to see you back for your birthday again next year, if not before! Many thanks, Jennifer
