We loved our stay here. The rooms are well appointed, the beds and pillows are heavenly, toiletries are great and plentiful, and you get slippers and robes to use while you’re there. Housekeeping do a wonderful job and will always give you extra coffee pods or toiletries, for example, if you need them. The hotel bar is a bit over priced, but then it is a hotel, and there are lots of other cheaper options around. We used kramers (good for breakfast or dinner), firehook bakery (gorgeous croissants and really good value coffee), Zorbas cafe (Greek food, quite mediocre but good for a bit of variety) and DuPont Italian kitchen (absolutely fab). The red line metro is very close to the hotel, so there’s no problem getting around, especially on a weekend when the fare is a flat $2. We walked a lot, and you can easily do White House and museums from here. We were initially going to stay a bit nearer to the White House but decided at the last minute to stay here instead, and we’re glad we did. DuPont circle is a nice bit of town, leafy and quiet, with lots of good restaurants, cafes and shops - downtown is a bit noisier and doesn’t have the same eating options as readily available. However, it is closer to all the things you’ve probably gone to see, so it’s just whatever suits really.

The Hotel is in a great location, very clean, with good wifi, and also has a great staff! Christine and Farah gave an extra effort to help us with our delayed baggage and arranged shipment to another city. Once more, thank you so much for your help! :)

Let me start off by saying Cortez and Elbe are the immediate 1st reason you should stay at the hotel, secondly, the restaurants and bars are amazing and thirdly, the Sleep and customer service you receive at the hotel is second to none. I really enjoyed the ambience, staff, and delicious food, but what really made the experience over-the-top and more enjoyable was the people that I encountered; Cortez and Elbe made sure our stay was memorable and special. Management should really be proud, promote and recognize thise 2 as they represented the hotel, made the experience, and customer service top level. Getting brunch in the morning I can not forget Tayshawn and Eric as they are amazing bartenders in the Pembroke! Love this place and you will as well!💜💛

I booked a stay at the DuPont Circle Hotel for my husband and me back in May to celebrate my birthday. We had such a fantastic experience during that visit that we decided to return for one night while we were in town for a show. However, this time around, our experience was far from satisfactory. Upon our return, we were assigned an awful room with a dirty shower. The condition of the shower was so disappointing that I was hesitant to use it. What made matters worse was our interaction with the woman at the front desk. She was a young, light-skinned black woman with glasses, and unfortunately, she was far from helpful. When we questioned the availability of rooms, she insisted that the hotel was 100% occupied. However, when we checked their website, we found that they had rooms available for booking. Her explanation that they overbooked rooms as a practice left us feeling uneasy; overbooking should be managed more transparently and professionally. This experience truly put a damper on our weekend getaway. The only positive aspect was that the air conditioning worked well. Overall, our recent stay at the DuPont Circle Hotel left us with a three-star impression at best. We hope that the hotel management takes these issues seriously and works to improve the cleanliness of their rooms and the professionalism of their staff in the future.

We came to DC for my birthday and our friend’s birthday. The Dupont was the perfect choice. We were greeted by a friendly staff, excellent Concierge who helped my husband arrange a cake and flowers. Ellie was at the Front Desk, greeted us with a friendly smile and professional demeanor, took excellent care of us. Dereck was an exceptional waiter! Tori, a member of the restaurant staff was very nice and friendly. Then there was Donavan and Estella at the Front Desk who were also friendly and ver helpful. What a great time and excellent choice. Great location and staff! We will definitely be back. We all have hotel stay options which is why excellent service like we received is important it solidified our choice.

Convenient location because it is steps from the red line metro. CVS and Starbucks on the corner. Stayed here in June and again in September 2023. Rooms are comfortable. Heated bathroom floors. Nightly turn down service offering bottles of water, chocolate, towel refresh, slippers. Housecleaning does a top notch job. Bath products are decent. Offers vanity kit, shower cap, shoe shine kit. Privacy button to illuminate in hallway is convenient. Did not like the automatic darkening shades that always seemed to get stuck either coming down or going up. Received notice of a pre-planned water shutdown so water unavailable from 10pm to 7am. Thought it poor that I wasn’t advised at checkin and was instead informed by turn down service making their rounds. What if I had my privacy button on? I wouldn’t have known and then been out of luck. Had breakfast in hotel restaurant Pembroke. Excellent food and service was attentive.

This hotel came so highly recommended across the board that expectations were high - perhaps too high! The room itself was lovely, as was the lobby and bellhops, check-in staff, etc. The hallways on the room levels smelled mildew-y, and the real bummer was ordering late evening room service (the hotel boasts of all-hours dining) and waiting an hour for a turkey wrap and depressingly soggy fries after calling 3x to check in on the status, the second time of which I was hung up on after being told "we'll check in on it" with no further call back or ETA. Bar looked fun, but didn't pop in.

What a delightful group of employees! From the gentlemen opening the doors and welcoming us in - thank you John! - to the housekeeping team (macrons upon our arrival, chocolates on our pillows from turn-down service) there was always a smile and a solution. Our room was kept immaculately clean. We opted not to have housekeeping for a couple of days and got a very pleasant message asking if we had forgotten to turn off the ‘no housekeeping’ light. Loved the automated blackout blinds. The only possible complaint was the noise level in the bar - but that was more to do with the clients than the hotel. The location was perfect for walking to restaurants, Starbucks, a CVS and the venues we needed to access. The park in the centre of the circle was appreciated for some shade on hot hot days. Highly recommend and hope to stay again.
