Great chic place good location great staff overall . Good location. Recommend the rooms that are suites. Busy part of tie. Expect urban noise and sirens nearby many homeless on the streets during the pandemic. Lots of dining options nearby . Close to metro subway easy access to embassy row and Georgetown .

Just as Du Pont Circle is an iconic landmark in Washington DC, so is its namesake hotel. The location was perfect for our 8-night stay for sight seeing in the DC area. We also spent three days driving around Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, but were grateful to return to this central location each night. Our two-queen bed room was reasonably appointed, with good variety of lighting options for different activities and very well fitted with a modern sink and bathroom combination. The Pembroke provided excellent quick bites and The Doyle had an excellent array of spirits for New Years party. Above all, we had very pleasant experience with the amiable staff each time we needed help.

We recently stayed at The Dupont Circle for 4 nights over New Years weekend. What a great hotel! Located right on Dupont Circle, its location cannot be beat. We walked everywhere. The Smithsonian is about a 45 minute walk but there are many sites along the way. There are great bars and restaurants nearby. The Doyle bar in the hotel was a lot of fun! Frank and Gigi served us delicious cocktails during our stay. The staff at the hotel was exceptional. The common areas and our room were spotless. Any request for our room from ice to room service was quickly responded to. The concierge Michael was fantastic! He was glad to offer advice on sites to see and always made sure we had everything we needed. We stayed in a Jr. Suite overlooking Dupont Circle. The room was large and very nicely appointed. We would not hesitate to return and in fact are looking at going back in a couple of months. If you are going to DC, you cannot go wrong by booking a stay at The Dupont Circle Hotel.

About eight years ago, I started a tradition of visiting DC the week between Christmas and New Years and I always stayed at this hotel. I didn't visit in 2020 because of the pandemic but it was good to be back here again in 2021. It's a great value this time of year for such a nice hotel because it's their off season but the service remains top notch. I was told that housekeeping would only provide service every other day. So far, it's been every day and they check in nightly to see if you need turn down service or anything. There are parking options, but I always take a cab from DCA and walk or take the Metro while I'm here. It's a block from the Dupont Circle Metro Station so it's a few stops to the National Mall and everything you'd want to visit. The Dupont Circle neighborhood is one of my favorite places and there are many neighborhood restaurants to patronize that are better than the tourist spots elsewhere. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar that serves food which is also excellent. I'm going to use the Metro to get back to the airport (DCA) this time around which I haven't done before. Even if you take a cab, it's probably $20-$30 at most with tip.
