First, they did not have the 2 queen bed we booked, and just put us in a 1-kind room and only explained they were out of the 2-queen when we walked into the room. We were put on the 1st floor, and only at night did we realize there were 3 public bathrooms surrounding our room - pretty much until the The Alex was shutdown after hours, all we heard all night were drunk, loud people in the hallway using the bathroom outside. Our room walls were also vibrating from the music coming from The Alex. One of the most disappointing and worst hotel stays, given how much we paid for the room. The only benefit of staying here was the location. Very disappointed.
The room, bed and pillows were very comfortable. We stayed in room 608. The view was terrible. It was an abandoned building. Friday night was a bit noisy with guests talking in the halls. Saturday was very quiet. You can walk to many restaurants and shopping from the hotel. This is a very nice boutique hotel. Staff at the front desk were very kind and informative! We will definitely return! We also enjoyed the rooftop bar!
Our room was 77 degrees, despite setting the thermostat set to 68. When we arrived, the window was already open, but I figured setting the thermostat would fix things, and we went to bed. Wrong. When I checked out, I was not asked how my stay was, so I offered, "We had a very unpleasant night as our room was 77 degrees." The response was, "Yea, there was something wrong with the furnace." Period. No apology, no nothing. And they knew about it. So I calmly asked if I could be compensated, given we had paid a lot of money for our one night's stay. I was offered a mere $50, with again, no apology. To which I responded, "That was a very expensive night's stay to be sweating and stripping off our clothing." I got no response, no offer to have a manager contact me, nothing. Summary: If you are going to charge high end prices, you should have commensurate customer service. Or shall I say, ANY customer service? Despite the fact our daughter just moved within walkng distance, we will not be back.…
Where to begin. Want a place that nickels and dimes you, you've found a match. I've never had a hotel that had availability try to upcharge me $50 to check in an hour early. Then, because I seemed so nice, we have a special room for you. Neglected to mention that it was right next to the "fitness center" where we would hear the clanking of dumbbells against our wall and the loud chatter of hotel staff and friends talking loudly late into the night. Oh wait, we have a nice rooftop bar. Beers are only $11.00 a pop and then, even though there was no one in the place, they kicked us out of our seats because they were "reserved" for an event. Literally, we were the only people there that weren't staff. Warm water for a decompressing shower, nope! This place is a joke. Very disappointed. If you find a deal and need a place to crash, maybe. If you are looking for a good experience, look elsewhere. …
My husband and I stayed at The Graham in early November. This was a lovely opportunity to return to a city we had called home for almost 10 years, which was further enhanced by our lovely boutique hotel. The room was in perfect condition, with every perk needed. The bathroom was huge and the shower amazing. Particularly lovely was the staff. We felt right at home!!
The hotel staff was so incredibly friendly and helpful, I felt like I had immediate backup in a city I don't know that well. A particular thank you to Sandon at the front desk who went above and beyond in every single interaction. Thank you Graham for a lovely stay!
A girlfriend and I just stayed at this property on Monday evening and the staff really made the visit very special for us. We arrived and Weldon the valet was delightful, so personable and he took great care of us as we had a larger SUV. We checked in and Shawn at the front desk was able to secure us early access to our room which was greatly appreciated as we had to change for an event. Upon our return to the property after our event, we retreated to the delightful rooftop deck with some friends where Storm took fantastic care of us all evening. He has a wonderful personality and we appreciated his quick wit! Sandon was a wonderful host and he made a point when we were checking out to ask for feedback and invite us back to stay. The hotel is nice and the location is very convenient to M Street but it's truly the staff that make this location shine. My only critique would be the location of the gym, it was adjacent to our room and when the treadmill is in use it's very loud. Sandon assured us that would be relocated in the near future. …
Great experience at all..Super customer service! We were impressed with the level of reliability and support. It is clear to us that they are professionals who are dedicated to customer satisfaction Highly recommended !!!
The pillows and bed in the room are so comfortable. The room was very clean and spacious. It had a street view but it was quiet and couldn't really hear the noise outside much. The staff are welcoming and the hotel is in a great location.
The website photos massively oversell this hotel and I would not describe it as a luxury boutique hotel at all. The room was nice and spacious but old worn down carpet, a shower that constantly leaked all over the floor. We had a comfortable stay and the location is amazing in the heart of Georgetown, but if it's luxury you are after this is not it.
