The Georgetown Inn receives accolades for its prime location in the heart of Georgetown, making it a hit among guests who value proximity to local attractions. The hotel exudes a certain charm that, despite some calls for decor updates, contributes to its inviting atmosphere. While the rooms are deemed comfortable and consistently clean, some guests suggest that soundproofing improvements would enhance the quality of their stay. Travelers commend the attentive staff and find the hotel to offer good value, although opinions on amenities and pricing, such as parking fees, are mixed.

We stay here primarily for the central location in Georgetown, close to university and to bus transit to center of DC. Hotel is older, and depending on when you stay can be very overpriced for the size room you get. Overall staff is friendy, but this past stay we had one major issue with maintenance that was not handled properly. The shower drain was plugged and water would overflow into bathroom. We reported it immediately, and kept our showers to under 2 minutes to avoid flood and damaging rooms below. Even so, the drain was not repaired promptly and when we checked out they seemed very blase about the whole issue.

Although our prime location and friendly staff were positives of your stay, it is disheartening to know that we fell short in meeting your expectations with your bathroom. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused. Rest assured that we will discuss it with our maintenance team to address it promptly. During your next visit, we hope to provide an even better stay.

We loved the Georgetown Inn! Staff was so nice and the rooms were really comfortable and filled with everything one needs. They were accommodating, bringing up a refrigerator immediately and supplying us with anything else we needed. The neighborhood was great! Right in the heart of Georgetown with stores and restaurants steps outside of hotel. Parking at hotel as well. Perfect spot!

The rooms were sanitized before we checked in. Staff always wore face masks, so you feel quite comfortable at this hotel. This was a repeat visit, and again the hotel did not disappoint! Hotel has on-site parking and its location is great for being in Georgetown, and it's only a ~30 minute walk from the Lincoln Memorial and other monuments. Lots of restaurant and food options in the immediate area. Would definitely recommend this hotel now during COVID times, and also any other time as well.

The Georgetown Inn provides very comfortable accommodation at a reasonably affordable price in a great location. It is in the heart of historic Georgetown, steps from all kinds of excellent shops, lovely walks, public transport, and easy access to the rest of the DC area.

The rooms and bedding are clean and comfortable and the hotel staff, especially at the front desk and on the hotel entry way, are great. They are friendly and helpful and make an effort to accommodate needs and questions whenever they arise in pleasant and informative way.

I have told many friends and family members about this excellent hotel and return to it all the time myself.

Great location, room was comfortable, but lots of itty bitty pillows for decor with a square pillow for sleeping, so would advise bringing your own if possible.
Coffee maker and bottled water provided, but in these times of ‘take out and or delivery’ a mini fridge would have been welcomed.
Unfortunately, the restaurant connected to the hotel is still closed, it was open the last time I stayed and was excellent.
Parking is available on the grounds which is secure and well lighted.

My friend and I had a great stay! The rooms definitely aren’t big - and the “no staff”-situations had some flaws. But! The pros definitely outweighed the cons. When we arrived sometime during the evening, there weren’t any staff anymore. That wasn’t a problem, as you use a little check-in kiosk to check in.
When typing our information, the screen said “limit reached” and we couldn’t get our room code. But someone picked up as soon as we called the number on the kiosk. The staff was very helpful, and we’ve asked if we wanted to switch to another unoccupied room with a bigger bed.
The room wasn’t super big but we only needed a place to sleep, so it was perfect for us. There were umbrellas we could borrow (or buy), maps for the neighborhood and tourist attractions, some books, hangers and a TV (as well as a very small desk).
The restroom was a perfect size and very clean with complementary shampoo and conditioner, soap and blow dryer.
The towels had some tiny yellow dots that were a bit strange. As the rest of the bathroom was VERY clean, we didn’t think much of it.
When we returned to the room the following day, our code didn’t work and no one picked up on the phone number. A cleaning lady helped us by providing another phone number and the staff was very helpful once again.
Overall a great stay.
Our room was adjacent to the street but we had no problem with noise from the street or other rooms.
The neighborhood is quite busy but very nice and we felt very safe walking in the late evening.
We would definitely recommend staying here!

This hotel could be so amazing. The decor was nice in the hotel and my 2 queen room was big with a sitting area and a pretty view of the street. Sadly my stay was not perfect because we were given a room with a terrible musty smell. I could have ignored the dated shower and bathroom, and cheap, thin doors, but the smell was really so strong as to be unbearable and we didn't get used to it. When I called to ask if the windows would open (they don't) or if they could send up an air filter the front desk informed me that the hotel was sold out and they couldn't move me (I hadn't even asked for that) and they promised to send housekeeping. But the housekeeping never came with a filter or air freshener and I literally had a sore throat from the smell. Thank God it was just one night. I understand that it is very humid in DC at this time of year but our friends in the room across from us didn't have this smell in their room, but they had a terrible view.
Also, they don't have a proper concierge so when I asked the front desk for input on our local restaurant reservations, they didn't know the local place we had booked, and she only could recommend 2 Italian places but with no details and clearly no personal knowledge of the places. So you are on you own there!
Finally, on the day of check out, we went out to eat and came back at 11:55a to get our bags from our rooms (check out is noon), only to find that both of our room keys had been deactivated and we were locked out of our 2 rooms. This was rather tacky since it was not 12p yet, and created a hassle and delay to get into our rooms. Also, they don't have enough parking for hotel guests so it is first come first serve and you are screwed if it's full because they don't help you find parking in this super busy area. We were lucky and did get a space but don't count on it. When we went into DC we chose to take an UBER ($14 to the mall) so we didn't lose our spot.
On the plus side, the location couldn't be better, in the heart of all the shops and a 10 minute walk to Georgetown. The restaurant seemed very nice, although we only had drinks and appetizors there on the sidewalk. The mango mojito was amazing, Our waitress was very nice but we were almost accosted by a homeless person (he actually leaned over me and picked up my glass, and then changed his mind when I protested) and when I told her she just laughed and said, yes, there are a lot of them around here or something.
All in all, I might stay here again for the location in Georgetown if I were coming here specifically, but I would also probably look around and consider what else what available.
If you come in the off-season and have your choice of rooms and parking, and don't need help from a concierge, then I think this a fantastic choice in Georgetown. I loved the small hotel vibe and location.

You couldn't ask for a better location in the middle of Georgetown - walk to everything. For this you pay more than you should given the low-end amenities.
The bathroom comes with few towels, the tiniest bottles of poor shampoos and bath gel I've ever seen and poor smelling tiny bar soaps, all like you would expect to see in a budget hotel. They have a note on the in-room $5 umbrella that if you take it you will be charged $50!
The bar/ restaurant serves a very good breakfast and the bar staff are all very friendly as are the bellhops.

The hotel is in a great location, right in the center of Georgetown. The room was large, clean and modern. There was self parking onsite which was very convenient. We did not get to use any of the hotels amenities because of COVID, but we really enjoyed our stay. Before checking into to our room, there was a sign letting us know that it was fully sanitized. The hotel did offer contactless check-in but I ended up checking in at the front desk.

This is the perfect place to stay for a girls weekend in Georgetown! The staff are incredibly accommodating, the location is walkable to everything, and the hotel is clean modern & beautiful. We booked adjoining rooms with a living room suite for 9 ladies to hang out and 6 ladies to sleep. It fit everyone comfortably. The staff accommodated our early check in and late check out. They were friendly, courteous, and helpful. They even brought refrigerators to the room for our food/drinks and held our luggage all day after check out. We honestly could not have picked a more conveniently located (right in the heart of downtown Georgetown) and beautiful place to stay. We would definitely stay here again. Also, the restaurant downstairs (1310) is amazing for weekend brunch. They serve delicious food and support local businesses. Highly recommend!

Good Morning Lakewood Ranch Florida! I bet it is warmer there than it is here. I do love my brisk walks around Historic Georgetown in the early AM though. No....we do not have in-room safes. We evaluate the decision periodically and so far, there it is. However, we do have, free of fees, the availability of safe deposit boxes accessible at the front desk 24 hours daily. Very convenient parking through valet service - just pull up out front and they park it for you in the rear of the hotel. Or there is an open air lot a block away.
