As a Watergate neighbor, having the hotel vibrant and busy is a plus. We do hope that the owners and management of the hotel will begin to broaden their interest in considering us neighbors as customers — we do want to eat, drink and make merry in our own neighborhood. The staff often does try to assist - Dave was our most recent. server; attentive, professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Other staff are as well- what is sometimes missing is a lack of consistency in training ( we all hope that there will no longer turnover in upper management)!

Dear Sunsai510, Greetings neighbor and thank you for joining us. On behalf of all of us at The Next Whisky Bar, Kingbird Restaurant and of course the hotel, we are always thrilled to welcome residents of Foggy Bottom and Georgetown and we hope our venues provide the perfect place sample a craft cocktail or a dish created by Executive Chef Sebastien Gainnini. Your kind comments regarding Dave and the rest of our colleagues are most appreciated and we trust you know that it is feedback like this which motivates our team. We value the added details noted within your review and as you plan future gatherings at The Watergate, I invite you to reach out to me personally if I can be of service in confirming your plans. Warm Regards, Pascal Forotti Managing Director

Booked here because of the interconnecting rooms reviewed and advertised. Worked out great -had super rooms separate but private hall way between on high floor with balcony and views of Potomac. Service and advice was top notch , take a bow Theo on concierge desk. Great locale to stay in some much more evening life than downtown.Breakfast super, rooms space and decor great, relaxed place. Saw pool, gym on last day looked great too - will aspire to use next time.

We knew the Watergate was going to be special, but we didn't know how much! The spa was tranquil and perfectly clean and our room was a balcony king looking out onto the water,, couldn't have been more perfect! The beds are the comfiest I've stayed in and although it was only one night , we felt refreshed and energized after our stay. Thank you to Pascal for making all the special touches for us!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed out short staycation at the Watergate Hotel. Its been only 3 years since it was renovated and the effort shows. The front desk clerk was gracious enough to provide us an upgraded room on a higher floor with an outstanding view of the Potomac and Georgetown and we were offered a tour of the "scandal room used by G. Gordon Liddy by Zack, the Chief Bell Man. The tour was delightful, he's a polished guide who provided a number of keen insights into the operation. He has clearly done his homework. The "scandal room" is not only a bit of history and decorated back to the period but also a bit of a museum. I hadn't realized that the Hotel was within walking distance of Georgetown; we enjoyed the walk and shopping/nightlife there. In the morning I trekked next door to the Watergate Pastry Shop to buy their white chocolate mousse to enjoy with espresso from the in-room espresso machine for a light but indulgent breakfast in-bed. Sometimes I question whether a 5-Star Hotel deserves it's rating; for this one I don't. Its deserving of its recent Conde Naste Reader's Choice award
