From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty! Attentive staff, superior room, and excellent amenities. The hotel is gorgeous and it’s location is perfect for a weekend in DC! Walk to the Lincoln Memorial! Make sure to eat at Kingbird restaurant at the hotel at least once! Great menu, service and views! I will definitely stay at The Watergate again!

The service was really good, they even provided slippers. The location is okay, it’s a little far from everything is. Do watch out for the extra fee. The house keeping needs some improvements for sure. Not everything was replenished. Because of its unique location, I could see the plane on the balcony. There’s even an rooftop bar on the top floor to enjoy the sunset.

Hi thegymlad, Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We appreciate the compliments on our turndown amenities and service team. While our hotel does provide a quieter location along the Potomac, it also allows for those amazing sunset views from Top of the Gate rooftop bar. The added feedback on our housekeeping service is appreciated. If there is ever anything that you need during a stay, our Front Desk team can make sure it is replenished. We are glad that you were able to join us before the temporary closure and we hope to see you back again this Summer! Kind regards, Pascal Forotti Managing Director The Watergate Hotel

My husband and I were touring downtown DC when I suggested we go to the Watergate Hotel for a drink. We had never been there and it was closed down for so long. Upon entering the hotel we were immediately greeted by the staff at the check in desk who were very nice and helpful. They directed us to the Whiskey Bar. The bar was just opening at 4:00 pm. The bartenders were so welcoming. (I wish I could remember their names). We immediately struck up a conversation and settled in with a yummy drink!! We discussed the hotel and they asked had we ever taken the Scandal Tour. We had not and next thing we knew Zacharia Powers, Bell Captain, was there to take us on the tour!! The tour was amazing!! He took us to the room where the Watergate Scandal took place. The room is so full of memorabilia and Zach was so knowledgeable of all the events that took place. It was one of the best tours I have ever taken in Washington DC. If you are planning a trip to DC in the future I would highly recommend visiting the Whiskey Bar at the Watergate Hotel and taking the Scandal Tour. All the staff we encountered at the hotel were A+.

Dear 58Texastraveler, We're excited that you decided to visit us during your trip to DC. The Next Whisky Bar is a favorite lounge for having a cocktail after a day of touring the city, plus you discovered an extra highlight - touring our Scandal Room! Our Bell Captain, Zach has been giving guests and visitors the Scandal Room tour since it opened and he is truly well-versed in Watergate history. We appreciate you sharing your kind words about Zach and all of our hotel staff. The pleasure was ours and we hope you and your husband will stay with us during your next trip to Washington DC. All the best, Pascal Forotti Managing Director
