the staff was quite courteous, which was likely the best feature of our stay. It's a very old building and hasn't seen much renovation in the last thirty or forty years. It's affordable but you're probably better off spending a little more elsewhere if you can find it. They offer no parking and parking is a bit of an issue... More

For me the location was excellent... but the hotel is not what I expected for the price I paid. The room looked "worn out"... the bathroom was tiny and uncomfortable. The reception was not particularly friendly. The value of breakfast is close to zero. Wi-Fi in my room was outregeous. I had problems to use Skype.

I booked a room at this hotel because it was walking distance from an event I was attending. I booked 45 days in advance and received both a confirmation from the hotel at that time and a reminder a week in advance of my arrival. When I arrived later in the evening, I was informed that my room had been... More

Stayed for one night. It is very affordable, but has old furnishings. The hotel was clean. There is no attention to detail (vending machines were out of order and poorly stocked). The good news is that the location is convenient to the Dupont Circle area.

Cheap for the city but the room had musty old furniture including a "sofa" with no back support, and the Wifi connection was very poor. In addition the breakfast featured tasteless coffee and non-fresh pastries served until the unreasonable hour of 9am. Only for the cash-strapped

This hotel is clean. Safe and in a good location. Bed was very comfortable. Nice big TV in the room. Hotel is very quiet. Breakfast was continental. So coffee juice and pastries. Cereal. Only 3 tables in the breakfast area . So best grab what you like and take it to your room. Only down side is the windows don't... More

Small boutique type hotel very well located and affordable; close to Red line Metro stop Woodley Park and walkable to places as well including Georgetown, National Mall, etc. Near many restaurants and shops in both directions along Connecticut Avenue. Not sure if all rooms had the bathroom redone, but mine did....extremely clean. Self-serve Continental breakfast every day including cereals with... More

The hotel is a pleasant walk from Dupont Circle metro (3/4 mile) and it was handy for me as a jogger to be near Rock Creek but nothing else was good. The room lighting was so bad I can't tell you if the room was actually dirty or just looked so old and faded that it made me think so.... More

This hotel is in a beautiful neighbo[u]rhood, if you're staying here I strongly recommend a good long walk to see the beautiful big houses and embassies/ambassadorial residences in the area. Unfortunately the hotel itself is one of the most dilapidated buildings in the area and gives the impression that it hasn't seen much more than a lick of paint since... More

The hotel is located in one of the best residential areas in DC. The hotel is old and have not been updated well. It is a definite 3rd rated hotel condition. My toilet was broken, dirty closet, and the shower tub is new but not been installed properly so that it has water bubble underneath so that you would get... More
