Well, once again, I have stayed at the Embassy Circle Guest House and have been reminded what staying away from home is suppossed to feel like! A warm greeting upon arrival, a glass of wine and visiting with other travlers, a quiet night's rest, and a fantastic breakfast to get the day started off. I have stayed at the Embassy...

My husband and I are not avid B&B or Inn clients, but may be after this stay in Washington DC. The Inn is on a pretty street in the Dupont Circle area, right next to Embassy Row. House has been lovingly restored and is clean and very functional. Rooms were average size, private bathrooms, very quiet. All modernized. Best part...

My husband and I were exhausted from the planning of our wedding and from the excitement of our wedding day. We happened to find the Embassy Circle Guest House on the web and took a chance at choosing this for our honeymoon destination. The location is fabulous! From the moment we made our reservation, to the time we checked out,...

Have just completed 35 days around the world, five star hotel accommodation. Having read on tripadvisor of Embassy Circle Guest House we selected it over 5 star hotels in Washington DC. It is such a magic place, breakfast everyday with other guests from around the world, beautifully appointed ensuite bedrooms, delightfully restored embassy with wonderful walking to DC attractions. The two...

All aspects of our stay experience were excellent. We especially appreciated the personal connection we were able to make with the owners-Ray & Laura as well as the other guests. This home away from home is truely charming. At the end of a day seeing the sites, it was a wonderful to return to a place that really felt like...

You'll read a lot about the friendliness of the owners, Raymond and Laura, in other reviews and it's all true. This is a great place to stay with excellent breakfasts (fruit juice, eggs, toast, smoked salmon, tomatoes, fresh fruit, cheese etc.), tea/coffee and cookies/brownies in the late afternoon and then wine or beer at around 6pm. The house itself is...

A fantastic building which the owners have restored to a fantastic degree. The location is great for the Metro and for restaurants around Dupont Circle. If you like a quiet stay, however, you might be disappointed. Laura and Raymond's style of hosting is a little 'full on' at times. Breakfast particularly was difficult. It was great to be introduced to...

There was a cartoon in the Washington Post this morning (4/30/10) by Nick Galifianakis, showing a bride talking to a wedding planner. They are discussing the size of the reception hall, and the bride says, “It has to seat at least 500; I don’t want to see some of the guests, much less interact with them.” I had to laugh....

The Embassy Circle guest house is the best B&B we have ever experienced--and we have stayed in many both in US and Europe. The room was large, wonderfully appointed, extremely clean, and quiet. The breakfast was modest, but varied and well chosen. The location is only about 5 short blocks to the northern entrance to the DuPont Circle Metro station....

This is the fourth time we have stayed with Raymond and Laura. In DC we'd never stay anywhere else. The Embassy Circle is a beautifully restored home and there is always an eclectic mix of guests, which makes for interesting conversation over breakfast and also wine in the evening. You could stay in a soul less major chain hotel for...
