Stayed here and there was a small fire on the 10th floor. The fire alarm did not work on my floor, 3rd floor. I was not evacuated. This seems like a huge problem to me. When I tried to talk to the front desk about this all they would say is that all guest were evacuated!
We picked a bad day since the AC was out at the time in our room. We called the front desk, but they said they had no more rooms available. So we spent a hot miserable night. Fortunately the breakfast dining room had AC and we were able to enjoy our breakfast.
The best hotel for DC visitor, with out any hesitation. The room is specious, state of the art amenities, very clean. The check in process was faster that Rocket. The did offer assistance for local attractions and so on.
If you stay ........ make sure you don't get stuck in a room with an adjoining door unless you reserve both rooms! Hotel does have small refrigerators in rooms. Great breakfast! Grocery store within walking distance.
I was in Washington for a conference, and stayed at this Hyatt Place. The hotel was clean and modern, and the room was very spacious. What really impressed me about this hotel was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and customer service oriented. This made my stay very enjoyable …
"Fitness Center on 2nd Floor"
"Don't bother asking for a room with a view of the US Capitol - building across the street blocks the view."
"We can see the 395 down below, but not overly aware of traffic noise."
"the hotel is a litlle noisy so ask for a floor 4 floor or up"
"Ask for high floor. I was on a low floor overlooking NY Ave, and felt like with the big windows anyone outside could look inside."
