Great place to stay. Very clean and quite. Customer service was very professional and courteous. Valet parking was a most and they were quick to get your car every time. The price was reasonable. We would choose them again.

Hotel was cheap compared to other hotels. We thought it would be a normal semi luxury hotel not that bad. We were very wrong. New York avenue has a very bad homeless issue. One of them got into the hotel and was extremely in begging. Corning you in the hotel and asking till you provided or she saw another person. The hotel staff knew the person on a first name basis and had to call the cops to get her removed. She was so agressive after this we walked around after in pairs and limited times. The AC went out for well over 8 hours and the phone did not work in the room. The only thing nice was the views from the 14th floor and the price was very affordable. If any of these issues are not a deal breaker this hotel is great for a budget. But if your out of town guest who never felt with homelessness before I do not recommended it as its not safe.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Place in Washington DC. The hotel was clean and very nice. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The location is convenient to a Metro stop. There are plenty of food and other services available near the hotel. We will stay here again on our next trip to WDC.

The hotel & rooms are pretty decent but definitely expect GHETTO. First time I came check in rep was not useful, brushed us off like we were an inconvenience and not welcoming at all. But the second time the rep was amazingly pleasant. So understand hospitality isn’t consistent. Also the area is under construction so you will see ppl possibly getting jumped or fights on the corner of the hotel. The area is in the process of being gentrified so if your looking for a tourist area (THIS IS NOT IT) I promise you..however, this is a decent hotel that’s a decent price. So there are more cons than pros just depending on the type of person you are. Breakfast is microwable, kindergarten food. I wouldn’t bother.

Just don't do it. If you have a reservation and can cancel it, I recommend you do it. You will have to pay $50 a night for parking. There is no parking other than valet parking. The area is not safe. There were multiple homeless tents on the very same block. Me and my fiancée felt so unsafe that we did not stay despite not being able to get a refund. I even offered to simply switch to another Hyatt and the management and corporation were unwilling to do anything. The management and employees of this establishment were even extremely rude to the booking company we used and would not talk to them. The building and rooms look nice, but please don't do it. Find another place on the other side of the city.
