The hotel staff charged my credit card twice for the same room, tying up my available credit for the remainder of my trip. Easy mistake to correct, right? The hotel manager first blamed it on Capital One. Capital One told me the exact times the card was run. I explained to the hotel manager that it was Hyatt's mistake and free up the second charge so I would have money for food. She laughed and said she couldn't do it. I asked for the GM; she laughed and said he was at a conference and not available. When I called Hyatt Consumer Affairs and they told me that it was a simple fix - talk to the hotel manager. I told them I already had - twice.
The rooms are dirty. The hotel needs to be updated- painted. The rugs had food on floor. My toon was horrible with heating system sounded like a truck in my room- all night long. Horrible- don’t stay here.
Stayed at this property for an extended stay and quickly saw this property had serious problem. The staff appeared to be people they hired straight off the street that morning in their attire, their complete lack of hospitality or even basic human interaction. Lobby furniture falling apart, torn, ripped. Room had malfunctioning cooling and heating. Housekeeping once you begged multiple times for it to be performed was incomplete. Beds were old and uncomfortable in the room.
The staff were very friendly but at times could not accomodate our needs. The room wasn't in the best of shape but the staff helped with some of our needs. When we told them that the room smelled like drugs due to room next to us having a strong odor they weren't able to help us. The staff being so nice was probably the only reason we stayed otherwise we would of left.
Malik really helped us when our check in didn't go as planned. Immediately fixed the situation and was so helpful! And each valet was quick and efficient even with a 1:30am checkout. Would stay again due to the level of customer service. Thank you!
We need to meet family members at DC and also plan to have a short vocation visiting National Mall and the National Chrismas Tree light. We picked this hotel for its convinient location near Union Station and National Mall. Overall, we're pleased with our decision to stay in this hotel.
The bathroom towels had blood in them, the entire place smelled like weeds and was dirty. The beds were dirty. Bad location. I’ll never stay here again. If you worry about safety and cleanliness then this is not the place for you to stay. There’s definitely other better located places and much more cleaner and nicer for ever cheaper.
The staff at this hotel were extraordinarily substandard. Services, repairs, etc. were promised and never delivered. No hot water in the shower of my first room. My room was not serviced on the third day, as the policy stated. Nor was it serviced upon my request the following day. Both irons provided to me had melted debris on the soleplates. The replacement iron also had rust on the soleplate.
After driving 3 hrs through traffic on a Friday night, my friend and I arrived at around 8p to check into the hotel. The clerk says, “I just want to let you know that there will be no water from 11p-5a for maintenance.” We begin to clarify that that means we can’t take a shower, use the toilet, wash our hands, or anything related to what you expect to be able to do at a hotel. He’s like no. I say so are you going to give us a discount for the inconvenience. He said, “No, that’s why I’m telling you before you check in.” I said so the Hyatt is okay with putting guests in unsanitary conditions? He agreed that no water is unsanitary but did not seem to share the outrage that we had and then suggested that we go across the street to see if that hotel had a room available. It was an unbelievable experience and I do not recommend this place. We stayed across the street and received exquisite service. The Hyatt should be ashamed of themselves.…
the location noma is good. the specific location of the hotel was near vacant lots. the door is always locked - you have to ring in to get into the hotel. which takes time, because there is only one person at the desk. there was no hot water in the room. they instructed me to leave it running for 30 minutes before using it. it warmed up a little. but never got hot. they didn't clean the room even when asked. the breakfast was ok. grateful to have something, but wasn't a very good selection. as the title says - i would only stay in this hotel if you can get a good price. all these points are made up if you save $100 a night. but i would go elsewhere if the price is the same.
