Small rooms but sufficient for passing through DC. Air conditioning was quiet and hotel is very well located near White House and monuments. Staff were not overly friendly. Clean and safe. Valet parking only at $50/night. We were lucky and found street parking for the night but had to be up by 7:00am to move the car. Street parking is tricky in DC. We toured the city all day so parked in a nearby parking garage all day for $20. By doing that we saved about $30 in hotel parking fees. Decent breakfast available. Hotel was very clean.

Hotel's Favorite
Came to town to see the DC area and this hotel is within walking distance of most of the museums and monuments. It is exactly a mile east of the north lawn of the White House. Marcus checked us in and was very helpful and welcoming. He was able to get our rooms together (same floor). Perfect first impression! I would recommend parking at the public parking garage at 600 Massachusetts Ave. Very clean and secure parking garage directly across the street. Check in take your thing to your room then go park your vehicle. Parking here saved 25-30 dollars a day. The hotel is in the process of renovations starting on the 2nd floor. There is no longer a pool and the fitness room is temporarily closed as part of the renovations. The lobby is nice and always has coffee, tea and hot chocolate available. Breakfast is good considering it's included in your room cost. They offer plenty of fresh fruits and the common breakfast items such as eggs scrambled and hard boiled, waffle iron, cereal and other items. There is a Safeway grocery store less than a 5 min walk from the hotel which was also great. For the price, service and location we will definitely stay here again when we visit DC again.

My family and I stayed at the Hampton Inn while in DC for the MLK Anniversary March. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel was clean and well maintained. It was very secure and you needed your key to enter the hotel and get to your floor. The breakfast was grab and go and the pool is closed because of COVID. Excellent location if you want to walk to site see or get to Union Station to catch the train. I only took off a star because the AC was broken in my first room, however they quickly moved me to a new room.

The staff was rude the accused me of not giving them back their complementary key card like I stole it then realized he was wrong the same guy then gave us false information about off street parking. The heating and cooling system in our room was loud and clanky could hardly sleep.every time you would shower it would flood the floors .you would have to use your towels to soak up the floor and when you'd ask for new ones they looked at you like you had two heads.the location is the only thing this hotel has going for it because the staff is rude and accusing and lying got hung up on multiple times before even getting there just to confirm the room. We travel several times a year and this has to be the worst hotel stay we've ever been to.
