We were able to upgrade to a Deluxe for a reasonable price. The room was spacious and had a fine view of the canal. There was a large bathroom with 2 sinks, lots of counter space, and both a walk-in shower and a luxurious bathtub. The closet space was a little limited, but we managed. Definitely worth the extra $. The hotel bar was comfy and quiet (Sound Print check a mellow 60 dB), an excellent place for a nightcap, with perfectly prepared cocktails.
I have travelled the world and this is my new favorite place to sleep. I was in awe with the make over and the dining experience was better than at Jean George! The bed was super comfortable and the room exquisite. Not sure I wanted to share this new little gem!
The Rosewood DC is remarkably disappointing. More expensive than comparable rooms at the Ritz or Four Seasons, there are essentially no luxury amenities. Sadly, Cut the restaurant had a kitchen fire and therefore there is no way to get anything to eat at the hotel. I had to go grocery shopping. They did not offer any discount for this inconvenience. The did make the minibar complementary except for liquor….and there is essentially nothing to eat in the minibar. The room is small and inconvenient. The “partial canal view” is just a brick wall. One must stand to look out the window if water is to be seen-and only then with great focus. More accurately this is a brick wall view. There is no spa, the fitness facility is smaller than a bathroom with no modern equipment in it except a single peleton bike with bad pedals. It’s a travesty to the Rosewood brand. They should close the hotel and renovate, modernize-or drop the prices to reflect the current facade.…
We visit DC often and always look to stay at this hotel. The difference is the service. It’s obvious that they have good people working there that are dedicated to making your stay special. All three of the folks that work the front desk know your name and I make it a point to know there’s. The rooftop pool with the fireplace place is a lot of fun with spectacular views. We can’t wait to return for our next visit.
Honestly, the best of the best! Traveled for the weekend to DC and had a wonderful stay at the Rosewood. Everyone was so accommodating from the start and the service during breakfast was perfection. Great location- short drive to all the main places. Highly recommend!
Such a cute hotel in DC and walking distance to a lot of shops and places to eat CUT DC on the first floor was one of the best meals of my life Highly recommend stopping by the bar for a drink Thank u Rosewood!
Amazing hotel experience in a wonderful part of DC. It’s a smaller hotel that does a stellar job of balancing the finesse of a larger hotel with the intimacy of a boutique one. The team remembers everyone’s name and does to whatever they can to make your stay a memorable one.
Had a wonderful stay : room was comfy and the interior design , exceptional ; the staff , attentive and kind. Was really impressed by the quality of the amenities. The location also made it ideal for walking around with access to many shops and restaurants and even a park.
I thought the place was full of charm with incredibly tasteful decor. We live in Chevy Chase (20 minutes away) and simply wanted to do something fun for New Year's Eve. It was a great choice! We'll be back this summer. Excellent food with a friendly staff - all with an old school elegance - we truly enjoyed!! A 5-star experience for sure!
My husband and I traveled to Georgetown, DC for a night and decided to stay at the Rosewood. The hotel is well located for shopping, restaurants and museums. The room was nice, clean and very quiet. The bed was comfortable. Next to the bed was a switch for light and shade control. There was a Nespresso machine in the room. The bathroom was nice but only had a shower, no tub. The shower was very nice. The views from the rooftop are outstanding. The rooftop pool , part inside, part outside was small and the water was cooler than expected, given that it was supposed to be heated. The views of Georgetown and the city from the pool were very nice at night. The common sitting rooms were very nice and there was a lovely fire in the lobby and the upper library area. We didn't dine in the restaurant because they were having a private event but we walked through and it looks lovely .The best part of the hotel is the personal service. The entire staff is truly exceptional. Every hotel employee we encountered went out of their way to make our stay special for us. I cannot compliment them enough. We highly recommend this hotel! You won't find better service anywhere!…
