This Inn has a nice ambience and is near the action while remaining a quiet sanctuary. The breakfast could be improved to have choices beyond oatmeal and coffee cake. We travel frequently and this was the smallest breakfast we have encountered (smaller than hostels and complimentary breakfasts served by chains) Lewis was extraordinarily kind with recommendations and chatted with us...

I am shocked and disappointed that you were unhappy with the breakfast Lewis made for you as when we spoke you said everything was wonderful. We get such rave reviews on our breakfast specials and most people like our homemade coffee cake and hot oatmeal on a cold December day. Please keep in mind that you are more than welcome...

I stayed at the Taft Bridge Inn a few times last year and had the most wonderful time. It really is a hidden gem!!!!! The furnishings are exquisite and the ambience is delightful. I thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast, which was different every day. Jennifer is top notch, thoughtful and considerate. I just love her. It's the only place I would...

I came to Washington for a conference and found this place...this place is beautiful! you feel like at home, home-cooked breakfast (Jennifer changes the menu every day!), clean and large rooms, rooms are beautifully decorated with period furniture, a very nice sitting room with home-made cookies and newspapers, free wifi... at a very good price! The place is walking distance...

I come to DC for a business conference at the Washington Hilton every year. I always stay at the Taft Bridge Inn. The sitting room is cozy and inviting with a snuggly fireplace. The rooms are decorated with period furniture that matches the character of the building, but still makes you feel at home. The Included breakfast is delicious and...

A great experience to have stayed at the Taft Bridge Inn. Well priced, clean, close to public transport, great breakfast (new menu each day) and walking distance to Marriot Wardman Hotel where I was attending a conference. At a nominal fee, Jennifer (a great host) was able to upgrade me to a bigger room with a bathroom. I recommend Taft...

I had a lovely week at the Taft Bridge Inn. It's so cute and each room is decorated with care. The breakfasts in the morning were great, and on the cold days, there was a fire to sit by in the beautiful sitting room. I will definitely stay there again next time I go back to DC and I will...

I got to the Taft Bridge Inn by accident (on the web),when I couldn't get any other place while attending a big meeting in DC. BUT I am so glad I found it! The Taft Bridge Inn is two blocks north of the Washington Hilton, with a variety of rooms sizes and rates, many for less than the Hilton, but with much more character. High ceilings appreciated by the tall traveller. Very nicely renovated mansion. The Sunday brunch at Bistro Bistro has an incredible range of options and should not to be missed....

This is a lovely old building that has been restored with care. The common room is unusually attractive, beckoning you to come in and read or relax. Our room was great, and we loved the bed (comfort) and bedding (beautiful). We found Jennifer and Lewis to be so friendly and helpful! It's remarkably quiet given it's location, and an easy...
