My wife and I just spent 5 nights at Celia's Place and were delighted with the location and the quirky home. Celia is a delight, a lady in every sense of the word, and made us feel at home without being intrusive. Use of the laundry facilities was a real boon after several days on the road and unlike other...

For 30 years my husband and I have preferred B&Bs to hotels because they offer us the chance to meet and talk to someone local to the area. We enjoy our hosts' conversation and insights of their home town. If that is why you stay at a B&B, this is not the place for you. Celia's home is a beautiful...

My Mum and I stayed at Celia's Place at the end of a 3 week holiday across the U.S. It was such a relief to be so well looked after by Celia in her beautiful arty home - particularly after hotel and apartment rentals everywhere else we stayed. Celia's Place offers a 2 room guest suite, a bedroom that leads...

Having never stayed in a B&B before, I was a little nervous about staying here, but Celia's friendly welcome, and beautiful home put me at ease. Celia was a wonderful character, and her recommendations for sightseeing and local restaurants were spot on, especially the little Mexican place around the corner. This is an ideal accommodation for single travellers, within 5-10...

Location was very good on Capitol Hill! Close to Capitol, Supreme Court and not far from Smithsonian museums. Celia was very welcoming and had so many interesting things to see. The rooms were nice and there was enough room for my daughter and me to stay comfortably. She has two beautiful cats, which was no problem, because we love animals....

The place is a block away from Capitol Hill. Great location! We couldn't believe we could secure such a place with relatively less money. We visited Washington DC in spring. The whole city is in blossom. It is pleasant walking in the neighborhood. We have a bedroom and living room. Celia made living room very inviting and lovely. When night...

This accommodation has a great location right across the street from the Library of Congress on Third and Independence. Easy walking to the Capitol, the National Mall, Eastern Grocery, Folger Library, restaurants. Breakfast was always on the table first thing in the morning along with the Washington Post and the New York Times. The townhouse is old and charming. The...

Celia's Place is located right at Capitol Hill. In fact you can walk to most places very easily. Celia was very welcoming and her home is charming. It is, like another reviewer said, like staying with a family friend. The B&B section has a very comfortable sitting room and bedroom and a private bathroom. The bed was comfortable, but is...

Great location, helpful and kind host. You're provided a parking pass for the street, and the metro is only a 5 min walk away. If I return to the DC area, I'll most likely stay here again. I would have been happy to stay longer.
