Do not write reviews often, but would like to leave a note of appreciation on this one. Stayed with them in May. Clean, efficient facilities and impeccable service - from the club lounge to room service to other facilities. Had a dietary restriction, and the staff showed up every morning at exactly the time I requested, with the specially prepared off-menu breakfast. The hotel gets you the Ritz service (which is, unfortunately, no longer consistent across the Ritz family of the hotels). PS: I have an ambassador elite status, which takes quite a bit of travel to get to, so my comparison sample is very broad. PPS: the comments about the new AC, which turns itself off, are, annoyingly, true, and apply broadly to most hotels these days - definitely the Bonvoy brand.

I've stayed here a few times and I like this hotel with its good location and adjoining Equinox facility that is top class. I was here for a conference and F&B is also quite good. The only thing that really disturbed me during this stay was that I was in a suite and i had a thermostat that shifts to automatic even if you use the setting that is supposed to run the fan continuously. The result is that the room gets warm during the night and you don't get a good night's sleep. I called engineering to my room after midnight because of this and the engineer said that the hotel had put new thermostats in the rooms that do this. This is a new thing here and I really don't like this kind of economizing on guests paying over $1,000 a night for a room. If I was going to stay here again, I'd want to be assured that this is not going to happen or else I'd want to stay somewhere else. There is one hack for this -- put the temperature down to 65 degrees and set the fan on HIGH and it will generally keep running the fan. But this is not what you really want -- to set a thermostat at a freezing temperature and hope for the best.

We would like to thank you and your amazing Team for what was a wonderful stay at your property (Feb 14. – 18.02.2023). It started with smile at reception and then when we arrived at the Club Lounge where we were greeted with such a warm friendly welcome and a glass of bubbles by Beri, she was there every evening during our stay and I we looked forward to “coming home”. In the Morning we had a wonderful welcome from Fatya who looked after us amazingly. For breakfast I would like to also give a big thank you to Jenny and Julian who we also met during our stay and were also very friendly and professional. And one final thank you to Kevin the concierge for guiding us in our daily adventure in the city. We will certainly be back.

I am continually finding myself less-and-less-impressed with the Ritz Carlton experience and this stay was no different. Part of it might have been the room I had (in the presidential suite area (I think it's one of the rooms that can be connected, which led to noisy neighbors interrupting sleep both nights I stayed). But overall, I have found that the service and the rooms at RCs to be a bit drab and really not up to a 5 star hotel standard. This is no St. Regis, Conrad, Waldorf Astoria, etc., and that's a bummer. Stayed 2 nights for business. Check-in was good, with a complimentary glass of champagne and a bottle of water. No offer to help with bags when pulling up or up to the room - not that I had many...but the doormen at my building in NYC were more helpful than the people working at the RC. Drinks at the bar were really really pricy (company picked up the tab, but still). Room felt old, strangely organized, and had only an OK view (which seemed to be connected to the balcony of another room, so I didn't feel comfortable opening the curtains much). Also, when checking in, the person in front of me in line was gold and was upgraded to a suite...the person after me was also upgraded and no status was named when doing so...yet my gold status was rewarded with...the same room I booked. Just more and more my experience with the de-valued Bonvoy program. For me, I will probably stay elsewhere in DC when I visit, and probably with another loyalty chain as I haven't found much value in Bonvoy in the city.

Was on my bucket list to stay at a Ritz. To me it was like most hotel rooms off 95. The greeting was nice but down hill from there. Room not cleaned well. Found hairs on robe and old fishies on floor. Ordered charcuterie board worst one ever for 77&

The most average Ritz I've ever stayed at and had we not received a great deal , I'd be greatly disappointed. Service was fantastic but the hotel property and rooms are in desperate need of upgrades. The location is great, food options at the hotel are minimal, the spa is not attached and while the staff was fantastic the amenities are not Ritz level. This is more of a nice Westin with great service than a Ritz. I'd go down the street and stay at park Hyatt for a true luxury hotel at a similar price.

We stayed here in February for 3 nights. We received a friendly and professional welcome at the front desk. The Club Lounge Staff were exceptional and had very high standards. Jenny, Bari, Julian and the rest delivered first class customers service. Our room was tastefully decorated and the pillows were down and comfy. I will stay here again.

The Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C., located in West End, delivers from beginning to end. This is one of our favorite locations in the D.C./Virginia area. We decided to stay in this location not only due to the quality of service and attention we always receive but because it is one of the two Ritz-Carlton pet-friendly locations in D.C. Even though we have stayed before without pets, we barely saw pets around the lobby or hallways, but we decided to give it a chance for the first time. Before arrival, all of our needs were considered, and communication was top-notch. Upon arrival, all of the Ladies and Gentlemen at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure that our dogs were welcomed to the hotel. Once we arrived at the room, the 900 sq. ft. one-bedroom suite was spacious and comfortable. In addition, pet amenities were provided to make our pets extra comfortable. The bathroom is so big, and the shower amenities were just excellent. This is an excellent location since it is close to Georgetown, restaurants, and other great places in the D.C. area. I highly recommend this hotel anytime and appreciate all the attention to detail we always see during our stays. Special thanks to Juan, Shane, Zelek (guest services), Kenneth, and Bradley for going above and beyond and making our stay memorable. It was worth it and a great way to start 2023.

We decided to book a last minute trip after Christmas to DC and decided to stay at the Ritz with our family of 4 in a king suite with a sofa bed. The hotel was in a great location, the staff was very friendly and the rooms were spacious and very clean. We had a bed and breakfast package and ordered room service for breakfast. It was all great. Upon check out I noticed they charged us extra for one of the breakfasts because someone had coded it wrong on our bill and the individual who helped us corrected it right away and was apologetic. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Stayed here for a quick weekend visit of DC. Facility, service and location were all great. Used Marriott points for the rooms but would highly recommend. Only negative was the quality of the breakfast. Would venture out to one of the many options around the hotel.
