After a long day of traveling the attention to detail, the level at which the staff operates was exactly what I needed . The Deluxe King room is worth every single penny if you can spare it. Bravo to the staff for maintain. A high standard. Thank you Rob for an amazing check-in experience.

What a delightful evening we had! From the moment we stepped into the building looking like quite homeless (or perhaps disheveled) civilians we received nothing but the highest level of service! From the instant friendly smiles (or crinkled eyes behind masks) to the warmth and intimacy of every single staffer that we encountered over various shifts, we truly felt as if we’ve come home every time we step foot inside (and we LIVE here in DC!). The room was absolutely stunning! We were in the Ida McKinley First Lady Suite which was beautifully pink all over. There truly was no detail left behind. From the fresh flowers to the hand sanitizing wipes by the bed to the ringtone of the old phone. Absolutely brilliant! Could not have possibly been more impressed. We enjoyed the well stocked mini bar but made sure to have a delectable duck confit dinner. We loved the plush bed and we couldn’t help ourselves, we had to order our breakfast in bed and it came with some wonderful thick cut bacon. We had a chance to make it down to the gym which was also quite nice with the most luxurious boxing bag we've ever seen which was an amusing surprise. We had a wonderful time and we absolutely cannot wait to return. It felt swell to be outside of our own home, in a different part of the city and in such luxury!

I hate to write this review. My wife and I stayed at this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The reviews are for the most part are positive. The staff at the hotel is wonderful. They're very friendly and helpful. It was the room that left a lot to be desired. The room was large. The bathroom was not. It was tiny and did not allow the level of privacy many I would consider adequate. The room had a closet to hang your clothes but no a dresser. There was no place to put your clothes. We lived out of our suitcases. There was no desk just a small table. The bed was very comfortable. The location was great. Sorry Riggs but that room was a big disappointment.

Dear Jack, Thank you for choosing Riggs, sharing some kinder words and some very important feedback. At Riggs, we hold service and care above all else, so I'm glad our team was able to take such great care of you and offer grand service. I'm a little worried about your experience in our rooms, however. It seems they were missing a lot of elements you wanted to see to assist you in your comfort and luxury. I sincerely hope you'll join us again in the future and reach out so we can assist you in providing an exemplary room with lots of storage, a great bathroom, and maintain our impeccable service and pinpoint-perfect location. Yours in hospitality, Maximillian Sanson Director of Front Office

The staff at the hotel was warm and friendly, making us feel special and welcome as soon as we stepped out of our car in front of the hotel. The hotel itself is remarkably clean and the decor is gorgeous- trendy with a great nod to the history of the building. Staff went out of their way to remember us and greet us each day of our stay. We ate dinner and breakfast at the cafe and loved everything we had- great food and excellent service at the restaurant as well. The location is perfect- quick walk to the National Mall/ museums, White House, anything you would want to see& do in DC. We can't wait to stay here again and plan to recommend it to all of our family and friends!

I wanted to do something special for my dads birthday. I picked this hotel because of its location mainly and the online reviews were good, but did not do it justice! The hotel was beautiful! From the check-in experience to the doorman greeting to the service in the room and restaurant, everything was just perfect! They have an attentive and delightful staff. I will definitely go back.

The overall experience was positive - wonderful staff, clean, beautiful room appointment. Bathroom in Room 419 was so small we had to climb over the toilet to use it and the shower. So unfortunate for an otherwise great stay.
