    Amazing staff and lovely rooms
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Eaton DC. The front desk team and housekeeping staff were absolutely delightful. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Special shoutout to Faye who was so hospitable. I wish more hotels were like the Eaton. I won't be staying anywhere else when I'm in DC. I found my home away from home. Thank you team Eaton DC. You were wonderful.
Thanks so much for your wonderful review - it's great to hear that we're your go-to in DC! We also love hearing when people connect with the hospitality at Eaton, so thanks for acknowledging the team. Please come back to see us!

Excellent solo leisure stay (less so for business or couples)
Stayed for a weekend at the Eaton. Sleep quality, both noise level and bedding, was excellent. This is my most important factor in hotel selection, so I would return. I asked at check in for a room not facing the noisy front street and they hooked me up. The room and lobby decor were attractive. The cappuccino at the coffee shop was expensive but very good. Things to improve upon: The coffee shop does not separate its trash into recyclables and so forth. Glaring oversight for a hotel with progressive messaging. The WiFi was open and not password protected for room guests. This is unacceptable for business. You should have to log in with your name and room number. No desk in the room. The one non-bed place to sit is awkwardly located behind a hard to move table and beneath a very low hanging lamp that you have to be careful not to hit your head on. This would be a small room to stay in with two people. In addition to the lack of usable seating, there is very little bathroom shelf space. No free coffee in room and/or lobby. The small onsite Gym had almost no room for stretching and a weight bench awkwardly placed in the middle of the stretching area. Soap dispensers in the shower are awkwardly located with corners sticking out that are easy to bump into.

    Exceeded expectations!
We received a super welcome on a cold November evening and the great service received continued until we checked out six days later. Whilst the hotel is located close to the business district, we found the location to be perfect to explore the great city that Washington is. It has a real boutique feel, the room was beautifully decorated and the shower (and toiletries) were fab. Whilst we didn't eat in the restaurant we enjoyed the cafe (I am just glad we discovered the monkey bread on the last day!!!!) and drinks on the rooftop bar around the fire pit. Would recommend without any hesitation.

There is no bottom sheet in bed so during night sheet becomes dislodged and you are sleeping on mattress pad! Really gross! Also had to change rooms because Ac didn’t work. Good location. It was just ok as an overall hotel rating. Not as great as I expected. Seemed ok but coffee downstairs kept running out. Fun design in rooms but I couldn’t get over the fact the sheets are microfiber NOT organic cotton as they claim. Plastic yucky feel and then you’re in the waterproof mattress pad. Yuck!!! The baker’s daughter restaurant has microwaved eggs. They bring in bakery goods. Find a real bakery if you want baked goods. Good for people who are used to package food.

I just spent 8 nights here while attending a Conference at the nearby Convention Centre (5 minute walk) and it was fantastic. So many of the "conference hotels" are sterile and look the same, but the Eaton DC is smaller and has real character and charm. The staff were friendly, and in particular, Lilian - who seemed to be on the front desk throughout my entire stay - was super helpful. There are funky bars, including one on the rooftop. Great location too, within walking distance of almost all the major sights (and public transport such as buses and metro are all within 5 minute walk). I certainly plan to stay here when I return with my family.

The sheets and bed are really soft and nice. The location of the hotel is great! The room had a great lewk! Really near most places, great location and we were helped by the kindest and most amazing front counter staff, Ms Simone. She was so thoughtful and helpful and really helped us with some of our questions and requests! What a joy! Made everything so seamless! Thank you so much Simone for sorting us out! Much appreciated!

It was a great experience from check-in to checkout! Simone is a gem and took the time to explain everything the hotel had to offer and it was a lot! I didn't even really have to leave the Hotel for fun because the Hotel offers many activities! Food options were also available, not to mention the free coffee, tea every morning in the lobby. Shout out to Maggie for all of her help with my stay! The rooms are really unique because each one has a turntable and vinyl records which was so much fun! The room and bed were very comfortable. Also the bathroom had a unique design which I really liked. The toilet was like a walk-in as was the shower. I recommend this hotel as a great place to stay. Local attractions are walkable.

Really appreciated the service at Eaton DC. Sandy at the front desk was patient when we weren't happy with our first room. She was able to get us into the the best suite in the hotel! And Maggie sent us a very sweet anniversary gift to the room. The coworking space connected to the hotel was a great bonus. As a guest you have access to the first floor, and I used it for remote work multiple days. Some reviews complain about noise from the rooftop bar. if you're staying on the top floor, the noise level will depend on whether your room is directly below the dance bar/dance floor or not. Our room was on the opposite corner, and we never heard a thing. From the ninth floor, we didn't have a view of the national mall, just the building across the way, but we loved being up high. Go for a junior suite if you like to spread out. At least the one King room we looked at was tiny.

We had an amazing stay over the long weekend! The rooms are clean and spacious. They were also very accommodating to our dog and provided treats, a bed, and bowls for the weekend. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a place that is pet friendly!
