The Club Quarters Hotel in Washington DC garners acclaim for its attentive service and inviting atmosphere, with guests frequently lauding the staff's professionalism. While the prime location near DC landmarks is a highlight for many, reviewers warn of noise disturbances from the streets and corridors. Opinions on the rooms are mixed; they are celebrated for their cleanliness and comfort but critiqued for their size. Although some travelers question the value based on room size and rates, the hotel's pet policy and environmental efforts earn positive mentions.

For location, this place can't be beat. It sits directly on top of the Farragut West Metro station (Orange, Blue, Silver), a block's walk from Farragut North (Red), and about 3 blocks from the White House. Easy walking access to the National Mall. The hotel itself was quiet (we were on the 8th floor), but there was a good amount of street noise (sirens, horns, etc.), so if that bothers you, bring some earplugs. The room itself was postage stamp-sized (we got a standard queen room), but we weren't spending much time there, so it was fine and met our needs despite being very small. Shower was laid out a bit weirdly, with one end smaller than the other, but water pressure was great, and it was workable. Toilet was angled just enough that we weren't uncomfortably cramped in there. The restaurant appeared to be closed (permanently?). Kiosk check-in was easy. Room was sticker-sealed when we arrived after housekeeping had cleaned after the last patron. There was no housekeeping in our room during our stay, though I saw them on the floor (I'm assuming this is due to COVID, but it would have been helpful to have been told this by someone at some point). That being said, we didn't really have a need for it, either. Masks are required in all public areas of the hotel at this time, and there are hand sanitizer stations in the lobby as well. I think we would stay here again if the price were right.

This is a wonderful hotel, beautifully decorated, but the service is what really makes this place great. Maria and Tsednia were particularly helpful during my stay, and booking. They really go above and beyond for their customers and that made my stay here very special and comfortable, I recommend this place to anyone coming to the city looking for a quality place at a great price.

Club Quarters at Farragut Square is my go-to Washington hotel. A quick Metro ride from DCA takes you to Farragut West station ... up the escalators and you are there. It's in the heart of restaurants and fun bars, including a good one within the hotel. Always clean and friendly and moderately priced, especially if you can book well in advance. Like all D.C. hotels they will jack up the price during times of high demand. Cold purified water available on every floor, with a nice guest lounge on second floor. Safe and secure ... room key required to use elevator. Abundant cabs right outside door.

I'll start with the one positive - Good location for the price. Otherwise, dirty, rude staff, saw a rat trap down in the basement beside the only ice machine in the entire building (PS: Bring your own Ice Bucket because they are not provided due to Covid-19. You're saying you don't wash and sanitize those after every guest?!?). No help from any of the staff and when you ask for something there is no hospitality or care. I've literally had more help at a Motel 6. They claim to sanitize rooms for 24 hours between guests but there were people waiting on their rooms for 2-3 hours at 5PM. I watched the rooms get cleaned before the guests moved in later that night.

Priceline listed this hotel as being a 4 star property. Since we last stayed at the JW Marriott close by, expectations were high. Firstly, their rooms start at 200 sq ft. Walls are thin, so you can hear people having conversations in their rooms and the halls. Bathroom shelves were covered in dust, mold on ceiling and unclean bath tub with hair from past guests. Window sill is black from being unclean, loose floor molding, sticky carpet, orange stains on towels, remote worked half the time. The location is good. We moved rooms once and were made to pay $15 for a slightly larger one. Only 3 rooms on the property have a bathtub. Free refillable water bottles and location were the only good things. We wanted to leave immediately.

No one should ever have to be concerned that a hotel room they are renting is not clean. Hair in the shower and the showerhead built up so bad with lime that it doesn't work properly. It felt so disgusting to walk around my hotel room with no socks on that I had put clean socks back on. Neglecting to shampoo carpets creates a smell. The room had a faint smell of mildew as soon as we walked in. It is in a good location and there are restaurants and a small park in walking distance. That just doesn't make up for how dissatisfying the room was for the price we paid. We booked the hotel an hour before we got there. I was happy there was availability, but I would have rather slept in my car. Hair in the shower is 100% unacceptable. I like to take the sheets and pillowcases off of the pillows and fold them up or just put them together when we leave the hotel. You don't want to see what these pillows look like when you take the pillowcases off. we were only staying one night so I decided not to even bother trying to get these things fixed. Even though the staff was kind and helpful I just didn't want to be bothered anymore with having to fix things that I shouldn't have to fix.

Check-in and check-out were a breeze and all the staff was very friendly and helpful!! They are the reason the rating was not a 2.

The room is very small and seemed quite dated. The TV is mounted flush to the wall so you cannot tilt it or angle it to use the workout videos and yoga mat provided in the room (not like there is much room to exercise in it anyway). Be careful as some rooms face an alley that is completely enclosed (room 1001). Unfortunately my room was one of these and there was no natural lighting making it feel claustrophobic, it was not very relaxing. I would not recommend more than one night in this room. Good thing it is close to attractions and was close to my meeting!

Outstanding service and rooms. Perfect location for business or to see the Capitol Mall museums and monuments. Just over a mile to International Spy Museum with the Capitol, Mall museums and monuments closer.

Puzzled by the negative reviews. The rooms are slighly small, huge by NYC standards, average for downtown hotel. However the use of space is very creative and the fooms functionally are spacious. Three of us watched TV in comfort. Bathroom is spacious for the standard room, slighly cramped in the smallest rooms.

We were greeted by cheerful desk staff who were very attentive. Don't know what the kiosk comments were all about. We encountered none.

My daughter, 14, wanted her own room but is not yet quit independent and the staff took considerable time to rearrage rooms so she could be next door to me. Later we had a problem with a noisy neighbor which was quickly and efficiently resolved.

The hotel is sparkling clean, well apointed, has unlimited free water bottles (what a concept), not sticking us for 5 bucks for each bottel) and is right across the street from a French bakery with a fabulous breakfast.

Best of all, it is immediately next to Faragot West Metro stop.

This hotel is an underappreciated gem. Far superior to hotels twice its price.
And a special shout out to Aline, who took special care of my daughter, was unflaggingly helpful to our many minor but seemingly endless requests, she was just as cheerful after the 6th one as the first. Hope management reads this and promotes her and gives her a raise, as an experienced busness traveler I can tell you that employees such as her are invaluable.

Also they were spot on with covid precautions, we always felt safe, and loved the easy and kind way they had of giving masks to guests who forgot theirs. In this day of Covid confrontation over minor inconveniences for public safety, they were awesome. I was at the counter when one particularly unruly young man was defused and masked up before anything could get ugly. All done with a smile and he left the counter smiling as well. The Club Q staff should give seminars on how to make such situations look easy.

This hotel was wonderful for all the right reasons. The location is amazing, and if you like walking, you can walk to all the major monuments (the white house was blocked off) in 30 minutes or less. Can even walk to Capitol Hill if you like walking. The upgraded rooms are perfect and worth the extra, as they provide a little more room. The tv's are mounted and new, and the water pressure was perfect. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants the balance of room, location, and value.

My stay was for a week to DC, good things to highlight is that the hotel is really in the downtown just 1 block from the Whitehouse and any other business, it has a metro station entrance just next to the main entrance so to take any transportation is really handy. By the other hand about cons, there’s absolutely no room service and check in is by a kiosk so if you need something you have to ask for it to the reception, also room cleaning so you’d better clean by yourself. Finally regarding the size of the rooms good they’re sooooo small so if you’re planning any vacation to this place so in advance reduce your expectations.

It is an authorization only that will appear on your credit card. If you do not purchase any additional incidentals (restaurant, food delivery, etc.) the authorization is released and the pending transaction just disappears from your statement with no charges. If you use cash, the unused amount is returned during check-out.
