Very good location 1/2 block away from Metro stop. Check-in was efficient and painless. Rooms were small but the AC worked well. Decent work area. MBT was just behind the hotel so there was a good place to get outside exercise.

First of all i called this hotel prior to coming asking about their covid procedures and changes in their hotel, I was assured that they were following protocol and the hotel was open for business We have stayed 4 times at this hotel in the past year. My son lives near the hotel so we have continued to book. This particular trip my other son was meeting us from Richmond to spend some family time in DC. The rooms are small, we were upgraded last time automatically, this time we asked the front desk guy for an upgrade, knowing we would be spending alot of time in the room because of covid and we also asked to have rooms near each other, he gave us the side by side rooms and ignored our request for upgrade. He didnt even respond I should have known then. THE ROOM WAS FILTHY. We had lysol wipes and lysol spray since it being covid. The shower was moldy, the bedside lamp had heavy dust and some sort of substance on it, hair on the bathroom floor the half wall also had another weird substance. The hotel reaked of cigarettes and Marijuana and its nonsmoking. There was no indication that the restaurant wasn't open via the phone call and website so we needed to figure out where to eat. No one was ever at the front desk. There were two homeless people smoking Marijuana outside the hotel when we checked out. We have reservations in October we are going to look around. It was really bad. I only gave them 2 stars because in the past they were decent, probably should have been only 1.

I was at the Courtyard Marriott for a business trip and meeting. The property is very comfortable, convenient near the Metro. One stop to Union Station, close the Capitol Hill. Staff is friendly and willing to help if you have forgotten any necessities. Several food places nearby. The bistro in the hotel has great breakfast.

Good Courtyard overall, but a couple of things ... Location is in an area that is being redeveloped about a mile/mile and a half from DC's main sites. Metro stop is right next to the hotel. Odd entry with check in on the second floor. Small lobby with a restaurant/bar open at 4pm-10pm only. I received a Marriott Bonvoy check in notice the day before arrival asking me what time I was checking in. With an early arrival, I entered 2pm (check in is 4, but check out is 11) figuring they could accommodate the earlier time. It didn't happen as the room wasn't ready until 4pm. If check out is 11, and they knew I was arriving early, I don't understand why the housekeeping crew was not told to get my room ready within the three hours prior to my arrival. I stay at Marriott properties frequently, so I hope they learn to use the system they developed asking about arrival the day prior. Front desk staff was very nice.

I just stayed 2 nights at this Courtyard property. I am Marriott Gold. The hotel (Ashley) reached out via email ahead of time to make sure any requests or questions would be answered. She was extremely responsive and attentive to my requests. Check-in could not have been any easier. Assefa deserves special recognition. He genuinely welcomed me as if welcoming me into his own home. You cannot fake that kind of warm genuine hospitality. He made the check-in process smoother than I have experienced at any other hotel. My hotel room was clean. My king size bed was comfortable. The property is conveniently next to the NoMa Gaulladet Metro stop (red line) which takes 7-10 minutes to get to Union Station (1 stop) and Gallery Place/Chinatown (3 stops). It’s also an easy and affordable Lyft/Uber to almost anywhere in the District. My only constructive criticism is to consider upgrading the long bath towels which seem to be worn down. They are functional, but the hand towel was fluffy like new. Thank you for two good nights at your property.
