A blend of B&B/Hostel, we are a "home away from home" in a quite neighborhood North of the White House. There are 15 single beds in 5 rooms on the third floor. Men's bathroom on the third floor; women's on the second floor. Evening tea & cookies at 9:00 pm available to converse/share with hosts and other guests. Morning family style continental breakfast with homemade muffins, granola, and muesli. Multiple bus lines are only 1/2 block walk - easy access to downtown, Reagan National Airport, and many other points of interest.

Very welcoming and clean. Individual a/c in the rooms. Only problems are the women’s bathroom and toilets are not in same floor as women’s bedrooms and vice versa for men. Lack of privacy - no lock on bathroom for showers.

International Guest House is a lovely place with great people who make you breakfast every morning with the most delicious muffins ever! The volunteers welcomed my friends and me very graciously and were always interested in hearing about our days at the house and in D.C.

I had a wonderful three-night stay at IGH in early February. The house is very clean, comfortable, and quaint. It's also very conveniently located (just a block or two) from bus stops, and I had no problem at all getting all around D.C. with this as my home base. Public

We know this is late, but Thank you for you kind words! A slight correction: we operate with volunteers as a mission of Allegheny Mennonite Conference. (we are not operated by Mennonite Central Committee volunteers.)

Hi, Yes you will be able to have a room together. The cost is $50 per person/bed, but siince you are all willing to share the same room, we will offer the room to you for $130 per night instead of $150. The shower stalls are private spaces located in each gender bathroom. We offer a complimentary, simple family style breakfast in the morning and tea and cookies around 9 each night. We would love to host your family. If you are interested, please call us at 202-726-5808. Thanks

No, unfortunately, there are not private baths. You have private bedrooms usually, but sometimes they are shared. The bathrooms are shared too, but there are plenty of showers and stalls.
