For a Westin property, I was actually disappointed. It's in a phenomenal location, close to Dupont Circle and the White House/BLM Plaza. Even as a Titanium Elite Marriott member, I couldn't get(or pay for) a room upgrade, so we were stuck with what was a standard room, even though our booking said it was a "deluxe" room. Very small. Rooms only had a view of the inside atrium, which was also disappointing. Room looked dated, with small, old-looking bathtubs in the bathroom. Bed was comfortable, which was a plus. We weren't offered any kind of breakfast(not even pre-packaged or snacks), and only received one bottle of water in our room. Service lacked here, especially for it to be a Westin. To have so many other options in the same price range nearby, I'd definitely say go elsewhere. Marriott brands in D.C. need serious upgrading!

Hello traveler, Thank you for staying at the Westin Washington DC City Center and for telling us about your recent experience. We regret to hear that you were not fully satisfied with your overall stay with us and would like to apologize for not fully exceeding your expectations. Our hotel is an atrium style hotel and the majority of the guest rooms are facing the atrium, however we do have a list of rooms that has exterior views facing M street. Upon your next visit, we would be more than happy to accommodate you with a room facing M street upon request. Again; thank you for choosing our hotel. We do hope that you will consider giving us another chance on a future trip to DC.

Checked in here and the room had roaches. I went down to the front desk and the manager wasn't even at the hotel. If it wasn't 9:00pm and I had booked through Chase Sapphire Rewards, I'd have asked for a refund and walked out. I stayed at Marriott branded hotels 30+ nights in 2019. I can say I won't be staying at them for a while based off the managements response (very unsatisfactory). Maybe big Westin/Marriott will respond better.

I had such a great experience at this Westin! The staff was so friendly and they're taking great COVID-19 safety precautions. The room was great and very comfortable... I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm back in DC!

The Westin has a good, central location and it’s staff is the best thing about it! The room was clean with a decent bed & pillows and a nice HVAC. I would’ve preferred to have an outside view but my room had a view of the interior atrium. I also wish they had at least provided a bag breakfast instead of nothing. If you’re staying for less than 7 days, your room is not cleaned but front desk will give you coffee, cups, towels or whatever you need. Not a terrible place to stay.

This disaster is a Motel 6 Express with a phenomenal location... THATS IT. Rooms are poorly appointed, paint peeling, shallow bathtubs from 70s and I found half used shampoos and body wash “stood up as fresh and new” ... so much for COVID-19 eh!? When I arrived I requested an upgrade, that I’d willfully pay for and I was IMMEDIATELY denied with status.... I was told ONLY rooms on floors 1-6 were used... but saw lights on in higher rooms throughout my stay. Whether, I was staff or a giant lie we will never know.
