We recently stayed four nights at the Westin Washington DC City Center and had a great time. The room was very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. I have to say, however, that the concierge, Eddie B, really made our trip. He recommended great places for us to go including a perfect sports bar to watch the NBA playoffs and a theater in the neighborhood when our plans were cancelled last minute. He took extra efforts to call and make sure the events were happening and that we could get tickets. We greatly appreciated his efforts! The Westin is lucky to have him!!!

Hotel's Favorite
This hotel was reasonably priced and a great location for walking DC to see all the sites including holiday decorations. We recommend . Restaurants closed except bar due to covid. No room service due to covid. Did offer daily housekeeping.

Our room was very nice and comfortable; however, our favorite part of our stay in this hotel was getting to meet Eddie B. at the front desk/reception area. From the very beginning, Eddie was very accommodating and friendly -- and had THE BEST sense of humor. He checked in on us right away to make sure our room was acceptable and even remembered our names throughout our stay!! Eddie B. is definitely an asset to The Westin! Additionally, we had a great experience at the hotel bar.

As stated in the title. This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel. The staff was friendly. The hotel has valet parking only for $68.44 a night. The hotel was busy and the service was not lacking. The room was roomy and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.

Starting the stay soon, but first impression was mixed. Front desk has an overvalued up nosed attitude. Valet staff is friendly. Let's see how the rest of the stay goes. Unclear if hotel participates in bonvoy program because I didn't see any indication or recognition of it. Perhaps my expectation bar is higher because I have stayed at the JW nearby and that was fantastic experience.

I visited for a full week while attending a conference, and while all the service was excellent, Donna in the hotel bar and Marjay at Reception were outstanding. Marjay helped me with several requests for my group, and did so with a smile. Donna not only offered exceptional service, but she did it with a kind smile that was well received by us all after a long day at the convention center. Kudos to management for hiring such wonderful team members!

The hotel is good and the rooms are clean. However, the reception stuff (Eddie) is the rudest and unpleasnt one that I have never found in my life. We were so mistreated by him, horrible person. Moreover, the rooms are not cleaned every day. Finally, It took them ten minutes to issue a invoice on my company name. I asked for the invoice the night before, but It was not ready.

I've stayed at this property several times over the past decade, and most recently in April 2022 while attending a conference. I need to remind myself before I book here again that there are better options available in this part of DC. There was a water leak in the hallway outside my room, which ended up soaking the floor up and down the hall. Those things happen. The response could have ben handled a little better. Hotel staff brought a loud high-powered fan to the hallway and positioned it to blow over the soaked carpet for a couple of days, blowing less-then-fresh mildewy air up and down the hallway. A vacuum extractor might have been more efficient, caused less intrusion into the quiet enjoyment of their guests, cut down on blowing mildew around the hotel, and might have avoided leaving the really ugly water stain on the carpets in the hallway. My room had previously been occupied by a smoker. I do not fault the hotel for the bad acts of their guests, but when I asked about re-location the hotel simply told me that they could not and that the room had been de-odorized. I grant that the smoke odor was faint, but it was there nonetheless. Speaking of smells, during my stay the gym smelled worse than a typical gym might smell. It smelled BAD. Like someone sprayed a can of liquid a_ _ in the room and then sealed it up. The gym itself has several treadmills, a few elliptical trainers, two Peloton bikes and plenty of weight machines. But that smell--I couldn't get it out of my nose. If you park, please keep in mind that there is no self-park option, and when you ask hotel staff about other options, no other options are offered. All parking at this hotel is valet-only, and the cost for that valet parking is exactly DOUBLE the going daily rate of the parking garage next to the hotel. In my case, it was $68/day. That is ridiculous. I didn't eat at the onsite restaurant, so will not comment on it, other than to say that it is no longer on the mezzanine where it was before, and now sits just off the lobby, next to the onsite Starbucks. There are worse options for lodging in DC. But there are also many better options. I'll look to one of those when I next need to stay in this part of DC.

Cathy, Barry, Donna, Ayana, and the whole whole support team behind the beautiful restaurant bar only added on to the great environment set by the cozy couches, bar tables, ambient lighting, and spread out high tops small and large. Open early, great food, and open late with a huge drink menu! Cathy made a decadent Expresso Martini (with beans), and the selection of whiskey was perfect as well. Come to this DC institution and enjoy an evening getting to know this great group and be treated to their excellent service. Tip well :)

I have stayed for 6 days for business and everyone was very professional, helpful and most importantly very clean rooms. Conveniently located closed to metro and all government buildings. Front Desk, Bar and Valet team were exceptional.
