Took my deeply bereaved friend to a champagne tour that sounded like JUST THE THING. And....IT WAS!!!(Gotta love Living Social!!) We laughed hysterically and 'Oooohed and Aaahed' in every room, curving hallway and rickety stairway - enjoying (pricey, at $15.) seconds on champagne. An eBayer, I was LOVING eying all of the BRIC-A-BRAC crammed into EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY...AND ALL... More

A very interesting experience (but probably not for everyone): the place is a curiosity cabinet, every room (and every space) filled with collectibles, antiques, boot sale finds etc etc. The management is personal, very helpful, and enthusiastic. I will return!

Aphorisms are not always true, but in this case, "not all the glistens is gold" is true. The Mansion on O Street is loaded, packed would be a better word, with things. Not just pictures, furniture and meaningful artifacts, but also books, toys, dishes, glasses, vases, statues, lights, mirrors, appliances, and all other conceivable stuff. The initial impact is one... More

What can you say but WOW! 100 rooms with 60 passages, and collectables everywhere. I mean every inch and cranny. And all for sale. If you like guitars and Beatles memorabilia this is the place. They also do catered events as well and they will give you a tour. Amazing place.

My friend and I purchased the Groupon for a self-guided tour, which included a free glass of champagne. The hotel is so eclectic - it's incredible! And finding secret doors and passages is part of its charm. I would definitely suggest it if you're looking for something unique in DC!

The Mansion on O is a Wonderland of visual and aural surprise and delight. In your wildest dreams, you have not imagined surroundings so eclectic, comfortable, lush, humorous, and over-the-top -- all of it at once homey and grand. It's a magic trick. It's a living museum. It's immersive theater in which the guest is the actor and the entire... More

A group of five of us, all 30ish, did the scavenger hunt after brunch one Sunday. We arrived a few minutes late, and the employee gave us a great background on the mansion. Then, we were off and running. We scoured the 4 floors for secret passages and specific objects. This mansion truly is a hoarders paradise. I would never... More

We were a party of 6, 2 adults, 2 college students, 2 teenagers. We had fun for about 2 hours exploring the mansion, learning the history and challenging ourselves to find as many secret doors as possible. It was not busy during our self-guided tour but if it had been I don't think it would have been as fun. There... More

Having heard of the fun brunch and interesting mansion, we made reservations for the Sunday brunch. It is a delightful collection of rooms - with fanciful hats, books, amazing decoration, and secret passages everywhere. It feels like you've fallen down the rabbit hole with an eclectic collection of art. Take Mom, take the kids, take your significant other. Prepare for... More
