We got to the Kimpton, they immediately let us check in early (no fee) and the staff was very friendly and the room was amazing as well!! The whole set up of the hotel with the art work was awesome! I really enjoyed my stay here!

Johnny and Benjamin at the front desk made is feel right at home. They delivered exceptional customer service and ensured our visit here was enjoyable. High level of professionalism with warm spirits. I would stay here again just because of the customer service.

From the time I arrived to the time I left, service was impeccable. I asked to check in early and my request was honored. The room was in great condition. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was marble with both a tub and shower. The hotel is a couple of minute walk to Union Station. There is a Corner Bakery in the building next door and a Starbucks two blocks away. I usually try to find local establishments but did not have time. The hotel is near a fire station so I was a little concerned about noise but it was not an issue.

It's really a great hotel. I've stayed there many times. But a new wrinkle was presented: A $25/day "amenity fee" that comes as a surprise. Nothing in the hotel that I saw to tell me about the GREAT amenities you pay for, even if you have no use for them. Free long-distance calling, assuming you don't have a cell phone. Free car service within one mile of the hotel during a two-hour period in the AM and another in the PM, IF AVAILABLE. Faster-than-usual wi-fi. In essence, you get nothing of real value for $25/day, wh9ioh is why you are not told, I assume, and why you don't have the choice of saying "No thank you." It appears that Kimpton post IHG buy-0out has become just another brand; just another provider looking to impose "fees" that, when you come down to it, offer next to nothing in order to take the customers. You want to charge $25 more for your rooms. Do it! But don't do it in what I feel is a dishonest manner. I'll use a Kimpton again when the fee is no longer charged so sneakily or the fabulous amenities are optional.

LoafJugThouTree: I truly appreciate your feedback on your recent stay. Please know that I have shared your challenge that you experienced with the appropriate leaders, so we can use this to improve on our processes which allow us to get better each and every day. My apologies that the guest amenities fee was not fully communicated and explained to you upon check-in. In addition to the amenities you mentioned in your review, also it includes access to the PressReader for on-line magazines and newspapers from all over the world. Thank you once again for your feedback. I look forward to welcoming you back to the Kimpton George Hotel in the near future.

Great, hip hotel from the lobby to the room. However, where this hotel shines is through its people. It started with the friendly face at check in. Then, out of a rush to leave in the morning, I accidentally left my laptop. Mary, who had been awesome already at wine hour, giving us recommendations, and generally throughout our stay, rushed and delivered the laptop to my hands in the station two minutes before I was scheduled to depart to New York. Thanks to Mary, I will be arriving at work on Monday without a blip. I am so grateful to her and the George.
