Stayed here over the weekend and upgraded to the Caroline Astor Suite It is a regal hotel and a staff that is welcoming. Aisha at Reception was very helpful with checkin and follow up questions. Great location where you walk out the door and two blocks down is the White House. I would have given the hotel a 5 star rating if they did not charge me over $10 for a 8oz cup of tea to go . I hate being ripped off

My first impression was not great. The hotel passage was full of orange cones right in front of the hotel itself. The bellman was not welcoming. The Astor Suite room that they assigned me was quite worn out especially the bathroom floor. There was no sofa bed in the separate living room. It’s good that I was only there for a short stay. We checked after 7 pm then left the hotel, I should have checked the suite right away, so I can inspect the actual situation. But we’re in hurry to catch up a dinner invitation. We came back to the hotel very late at 1 am ... when I woke up in the morning, that’s when I noticed everything inside the room. I called the reception and able to speak with Manze, a very courteous and professional staff. She acknowledged my point of view. Thankfully, she tried to do “Service Recovery “ I am very grateful for her time to listen and offered me a good breakfast at their in house Alhamra Restaurant. She introduced to me the Director of their F and B Mr Olivier , very nice gentleman who catered us to our table of 4 . Being an Elite member, I had free breakfast for 2 plus additional 2 people for free as well. Manze made arrangements for my private tour around the City and the most important in my bucket list was their Afternoon Tea , the best and its the one to bet . Most particularly the presentation and its theme “ Cherry Blossoms “ The theme was unique and beautiful 💖💖💖 I felt so blessed and very grateful for the best experience after some miss .... I can’t wait to go back for the Afternoon Tea That erased my disappointment in the room. They set up the Afternoon Tea in my Astor suite because we are checking out that day. Thank you again Manze and Olivier . I will definitely recommend your Afternoon Tea

My best friend and I stayed in the St Regis Suite last night and the experience was beyond memorable. The staff, particularly Ayesha, was incredible. She made us feel like family from the moment we checked in. The suite was meticulously cleaned and felt like the traditional luxury that the St. Regis is known for. The $60 a night credit a day for breakfast is a nice perk for elite Marriott Bonvoy members during the absence of lounges during covid. This was my first stay at this location in DC and will not be my last!

I had an exceptional stay this weekend at the St. Regis, Washington DC hotel. A skip and a hop from the White House, the location is impossible to beat (orange, silver, and red stations within a 4 minute walk). What makes this hotel stand out, however, is the service. Some hotels are taking COVID-19 as an opportunity to cut down on hospitality. Not the St. Regis! The hospitality, while respecting safety protocols, meets the same St. Regis standard that I am used to before the pandemic. Celebrating a special anniversary, we were welcomed to our room with a delicious dessert spread. Breakfast, whether taken in the room or in the restaurant, was served in the usual manner without any plastic bag / utensil ridiculousness. The room was standard St. Regis fare; nothing "special" about the DC hotel but that's not a bad thing. Overall, this was a fantastic stay and I can't wait to stay again after COVID passes.

2 night April weekend stay, received 3 level upgrade from a King Superior to King Grand Luxe. 5pm check in, reception in seated private rooms, front desk goes out of their way to please and it’s nice. 7th floor french window, high ceilings the room is large and immaculate asked for mini fridge, extra towels and toiletries on reservation which were all waiting when we arrived. Curved TV screen and bathroom huge with nice towels, robes and slippers. They delivered ice for free in huge champagne bucket with glasses. Plenty of free bottled water at reception. Unlike Ritz Carlton’s the St Regis DC gives generous $60 breakfast credit for platinums and was good for ROOM SERVICE! even after extra food and tip my out of pocket wasn’t bad. I expected breakfast to come in a takeout bag with plastic utensils (covid19), instead it arrived classic room service style. We requested housekeeping, just phone them when you leave your room. We both found this hotel to be at top of luxury bracket, I would be hard pressed to say anything in Marriott collection in DC is better than this place, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone.
