Booked the St. Regis for a 2-night stay with 2 of my adult daughters. The customer service at every level was impeccable. Everybody you meet is competent and friendly and ready to help in any way. Could not have been more pleased. However, outside of the main public spaces, the facilities are definitely a let down. The gym is tiny and tucked away in the basement. The rooms are dated and don't seem up to the same level of refinement as other St. Regis properties I have stayed at. I assume Marriott will be doing something about that, but for now they are definitely below expectation. In the end, I'm grading on a curve, but I can't get past the fact that the room was a disappointment.

I stayed in a St. Regis suite in August 2021 and the hotel is incredibly historic and adjacent to the White House. Meals in the restaurant were amazing and the service from the staff was incredible. I loved my stay here and will be back! Favorite hotel in DC hands down!

Besides the property being beautiful and the overall staff from Management..Valet's to Housekeeping. I want to say that Brian Salley in the concierge was fantastic! He went over and above. Cordial, professional, pleasant and efficient. Jeff helped us the first day and we met Brian the rest of our stay helping us. Thanks Jeff for the Hamilton rez and Brian great work on accommodating us M&S as well throughout our stay. Shariff and the guys up and out front were great. Thanks also to Montserrat and Adrian. We will return with our friends and business.. Cheers to the best hotel in DC... Thanks team!!

Top notch service from the staff. Excellent in room dining menu and preparation. A boutique hotel. Lobby bar has good cocktails. The only reason for not 5 star is because I had been sure to book a larger room because I had read other reviews. And because of my Amex status the front desk offered to find me the next level up which is a suite. I said fine - but apparently it was not ready yet since I arrived early in the day. I said no problem I will go to my meetings but just put my baggage in the room when it’s ready and I can get the room key when I get back. Early evening when I finally opened the door to my “suite” I was very underwhelmed- it appeared to be a simple king bed room which had a sofa oddly placed against the windows and curtains. Next time I’ll pay more attention if I ever need to stay in DC again in such a central location.
