I traveled with a friend and will say that this is not the neighborhood I would have normally preferred when visiting DC, but my friend had a really early train leaving Union Station and wanted to be not too far from it. I've stayed at other Joie de Vivre hotels, particularly in San Francisco, and really liked them. The Liaison...

This was a great place, excellent location. Clean rooms, great restaurant - I felt very at home here. The staff was very helpful. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great hotel, close to the Capitol.

Had a quick trip, and was booked at this hotel. Only stayed one night. Convenient location, right near union station. Lovely room, great coffee - Lavazza. Cute touches that i liked - the Jonathan Adler soaps, the lovely ceramic coffee cups. Liked the lighting as well. Would happily stay there again.

Nice room & staff. Good location. I'd avoid 10th floor-1015 specifically as it is under fitness room which is open 24 hours & dropped dumbbells sound like distant fireworks in the room. But staff promptly moved me when I requested at an odd hour. I was very pleased. Easy walk to Supreme Court, Capitol, Union Station.

No real complaints did have a mysterious wet spot in the carpet all the time that was friendly hotel is clean little rust on bathroom door but for $400 a night should be better if this was 150$ it would be amazing

A great location near capitol and good vibe. Front desk staff was very friendly. Overly expensive breakfast that was not very good and coffee machine did not work. Not being able to have a good cup of tea and/or coffee in the morning was a drag. Rooms are refurbished, but still old.

Hotel was excellent and the location was in walking distance of many places I needed to go to. My business meetings lasted a long time and the hotel provided excellent meals and a great place to rest after a tiring day.

Beware of the resort fee added by the hotel without notice (no mention at check in or check out, no receipt) after check out. I got a credit card statement charge after I left the hotel. Aside from the lack of notice, there is no justification for charging a resort fee. The hotel is not a resort; it's a 3-star...

Our organization hosted an annual summit at the Liaison and used the conference space for 2 days full of activities, including for a large reception. From the first interaction with hotel staff simply inquiring, to the final day of the event, every step of working with the Liaison was extremely satisfactory. The staff went above and beyond to meet our...

Great location near Union Station and the Capitol. Comfy beds and very clean room, although heater gets cold and hot (and back and forth) all night. However, closets and bathrooms are very tiny. Rooms could use some updating. Also, it was very frustrating that they don't serve a sit-down breakfast in their restaurant. You have to order room service to...
