If you’re looking for a hotel in Trinidad, look no further than Villa Guajimico.
Guest rooms offer amenities such as air conditioning.
The property also boasts a pool and a lounge, to help make your stay more enjoyable. If you are driving to Villa Guajimico, free parking is available.
Best of all, Villa Guajimico makes it easy to experience many great Trinidad attractions like Parque el Cubano and Salto del Caburní, which are some popular waterfalls.
The staff at Villa Guajimico looks forward to serving you during your upcoming visit.
The location is exceptional with possibilities of snorkeling, diving and walk into the caves. Magnificent sunset. The breakfast/ dining room is rather unpleasant (too much light). Very nice and cosy outside bar. The animation with Anna was also good with bingo and dancing.
I has three dives in Guajimico in February 2020. There are around 20 dive sites near by Diving Center. Our Dive Master Mandy was very professional and helpful instructor. Beyond the sea you can see sealife and corals. I loved this place.
I had two extreme opinions of this place so I put my review in middle to reflect the varied opinions. Loved location for its access to beauty and snorkeling. Beautiful remote location if u r seeking nature and privacy! We did get a chance to explore the caves (beautiful!) but unfortunately never got to snorkel bc of the weather conditions. The buffet was excellent - especially Christmas Eve (we stayed 12/23 & 12/24). Dining staff very attentive. Entertainment staff -Daily? - was a great cave tour guide and taught us how to play dominoes. Missed our salsa lesson from her based on our schedule. sad bc I imagine she would have been great! Now on to bad part. We were given rooms on hill when u first enter the resort. It was so overwhelming dusty and moldy - like the air had not been on for years. Then at one point our sink water was coming out brown. Of course accommodations were outdated and worn- could have been tolerated if we didn’t feel like we couldn’t breathe. So bad in end we were able to leave day early -thank goodness. If u stay - make sure short time and get room close to dining bc they seemed used more. …
Villa Guajimico is a fairly secluded bungalow park by the sea with nice colorful houses. These cottages are old but charming. The breakfast and dinner room is in the center of the park. The food is served in buffet style and is good by Cuban standards. The park is hilly with many stairs. There is a nice swimming pool with beautiful sea views. There is a walking path to a cave next to the swimming pool. There are snorkeling and diving possibilities but we have not seen a lot of fish.
Stayed at Villa Guajimico for 2 nights in June 2018. The room was okay. It was spacious, air-conditioning and refrigerator were working fine. Beds and mattresses were very comfortable in our cabin. The room was not very clean though. The views from the resort and especially the swimming pool area are great! The breakfast and dinner buffets in the restaurant are good with plenty of choice for everyone's wishes. Watch out for the land crabs in the evening!
Even though I visited in high season, the place was deserted. There is a beach but you cannot swim there, so that means you’re by the pool (with ocean view though). I had come to dive but there was no one present at the dive center. I thus decided to cut my stay short and to just stay one night. The lady at the reception promised me I could dive in the morning. Staff there was unfriendly, although the diving was great. The bungalows are a bit out of date. The beds have plastic covers. The on-site restaurant is crappy, but staff is happy to show you to a better, non-state owned restaurant nearby.
We stayed there a couple of years ago. It is built on many levels with many steps, some of which are quite steep. The place is quite old but adequate. The views out to sea are pretty nice. The food was as good as any in Cuba...which is NOT GOOD.
We spent a single night from 26-27th November at Villa Guajimico with an initial plan to stay longer. The resort is located in between Trinidad and Cienfuegos in a really lovely setting. Having said that, the environment deserves better and less costly facilities than we experienced at the Villa. A night in a two-person chalet was CUC 65, food rather expensive as well, which may not surprise since we were pretty much the only guests occupying the resort in the High Season. Getting there and getting away cost us CUC 30 to get to the Villa, CUC 35 to leave for Cienfuegos when asking for a taxi at the reception (the receptionist should know and a prearranged price could benefit the place). A review of general management/pricing seems in place to attract more visitors - it really does deserve better!…
Well kept cottages. Centrally located for various activities in the area. Not far from either Trinidad or Sienfuego. It is just a short hike from the Villa to some fantastic snorkeling and cave exploring. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Towel critters awaited everyday that we returned to our room. Bathrooms were clean. Water pressure left a little to be desired. Showers were just a little more than a warm drizzle. Oh well, that is just a small inconvenience. The pool was great. Fantastic to relax with our friends at poolside. Bartenders were all friendly and quick. Restaurant was uneventful. We definitely enjoyed our time here.
Yes the scenery was beautiful. Caves very interesting. Staff friendly. Pool was salt water and sometimes dirty. The hotel is said to be quiet but a lot of the time the pool had large groups of Cuban day guests that had " boom boxes", ate and stood in the pool all day. Myself and another guest did complain but it did not help. Beach is a swamp. Rooms were nice but I could not leave my windows open as Cuban staff came right up to them asking to spend the night with me. ( I am solo and 68 ). Taxi prices are crazy. The hotel and drivers quote 40 cuc to the city but will do it for 25. You can get the local bus on the road for 2 cuc. Did not enjoy the food. I paid in advance. Very little variety compared to other hotels of that value. If there was a large group at the hotel food was better than if there was only a few people. I was there for 2 weeks which is too long. Hotel is all Europeans staying 1-2 days and as a Canadian there alone there is no one to talk to. Many steps if you have any walking problems. Best rooms are near the pool area. One room at the beach was broken into and you have to walk up many steps to get to the bar, pool, dining room. Use the safe for your valuables in the lobby. Traveled in Cuba for over 20 years, mostly alone and never had a problem but was groped by a taxi driver from Cienfuegos to the hotel and approached and followed by a man masturbating on a small road at the hotel. No entertainment at night.…
