Javier, Barbie and their whole extended family are people who will meet you, greet you and make your stay in Trinidad one to be remembered. Unfortunately Javier was booked out when I got there, but he arranged an equally comfortable place for me to stay and made sure I knew everything there was to know about the sights and sounds...

If only everyone could have the experience of staying with Javier & Barby it would make their holiday so much better. In fact, we'd go so far as to say it would probably make their lives better!!! We did a round-the-world trip and staying at Hostal Javier was the absolute highlight of our time in Cuba. From the moment we...

Barbara and Javier are warm, amazingly hospitable people. They are so kind and welcoming that you will feel at home from the minute you'll get to the Casa. We stayed at Jostal Javier on November for 5 nights and LOVED every minute of it. The room was huge, clean and cosy, the frige full of great beer, Ron and wine....

We ended up on Javiers doorstep by accident, and it was a very happy one. We stayed in room 1 at the end of Javier's house. Breakfasts were in the garden outside, and were massive, and the evening meals were 4 course, and lovely, and Barbara had no problem with me being vegetarian. Javier is very friendly and a mine...

My wife and I were referred to Javier and Babi from some Aussie friends. We can honestly say we have never experienced such hospitality. Two home cooked meals a day and we are talking literally the food of your choice every night for dinner. Javier has a wealth of knowledge and will also be your in house 'lonely planet' guide....

Javier took the time to explain the local area and gave all the necessary local tips to have an unforgettable time there. We went to the beach and rode horses through the valley till a refreshing waterfall. The food in the Casa is much better than elsewhere in Cuba, huge portions and great cooking from the wife of Javier. Anthony...
