My wife and I are from New York and we do a lot of traveling. This winter we are spending four months in Hawaii, New Zealand and Fiji. Our first destination in New Zealand was on the picturesque and charming Waiheke Island. The Island is an amazing destination and well worth a two or three day visit. While on Waiheke...

We had one of the Boat Shed rooms with a glorious view and complete privacy. Excellent room. Staff were wonderfully helpful. Loved the chefs tour of the large vegetable garden and his cooking. Dined on the deck with a spectacular view of the water and sunset. Were sent off in one of their jeeps for a wine tour and swim...

Our initial impressions, which are so important, were actually formed way back when we first enquired about booking our stay at The Boatshed. Responses by email were prompt and friendly. But, requests for information about a helicopter transfer from Auckland Airport were met with an acknowledgment and an undertaking to send further info, however this was never forthcoming. My partner...

We enjoyed 2 absolutely wonderful days at The Boatshed at the end of our NZ adventure. It is such a beautiful place where every little detail is thought of – so serene and with the best atmosphere. We had high expectations and they were definitely exceeded. The staff is so friendly and service-minded and guided us to a wonderful walk...

This was chosen as our relaxation spot before our return to the UK after a busy tour of NZ. It was simply wonderful and beat all expectations. We only wish we had booked more than 2 nights. The staff were delightful. The communal areas are calming and furnished beautifully. The whole place is serene. The attention to detail all around...

Firstly it must be said that this place is absolutely stunning, if somewhat overpriced when you stay during peak season which we did. The lighthouse room worked out at just over $1200 (NZD) per night, food not included. Having stayed in 5* accommodation all over the world, I did think this was rather over the top, as it was Waiheke...

We have travelled a lot and definitely would rate this as one of our favourite places to stay. The main reception/ dinning room is fab plus all the staff excel at customer service. Breakfast and dinner is very good with nearly all veggies grown in their own Garden allotment which is very trendy and well stocked with veggie. They gave...

We have just enjoyed two magical days on Waiheke, staying in this fantastic hotel. Jonathan and his staff have created a very special place - the ambience, setting, rooms, communal areas, the garden and nooks and crannies where you can escape for privacy and the food, which is to die for, all help to make The Boatshed amazing. Use one...

We really loved our stay at the Boatshed, a fantastic find. Thank you to Jonathan for his hospitality andwonderful food. Jonathan's greatest skill I believe is his ability to pick excellent staff, personable and friendly and happy to go out of their way to help and give advice. Scott and Annabel are two of the young staff who made the...
