We were warmly greeted by Colette on arrival and she did everything to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Our cabin was clean and cosy, no tv but not necessary with the amazing views and we were just sad we didn't have good weather so we could sit on our decking. The only criticism is there is no wifi and...

Thanks for taking the time to post your feedback. We are thrilled you enjoyed your 5 days at Whatamonga and got to see and appreciate all that the area has to offer. Thanks for your feedback on WiFi. We stayed at this piece of paradise October 2016 and will definitely stay again. We were greeted by Collette who was a joy to talk to, was very attentive to insure we were comfortable and was very knowledgeable about the Picton area and New Zealand in general. There were homemade cookies and fresh fruit in our cozy, clean, modern unit...

"Magnificient View" is so often exclaimed by our guests as they initially enter their unit at Whatamonga Homestay. We are so thrilled you had the chance to see for yourself the birds, seals, dolphins, stingrays that frequent the bay and are so easy sighted from your very own private deck. Colette enjoys providing the homemade extras for her guests -...

Our family of six had a wonderful visit at Whatamonga Homestay. This very nice bed and breakfast sits above the Marlborough Sounds though a quick walk takes you to the rocky beach below. The views are spectacular, even on the one rainy day we had. Colette is a terrific host and is always willing to answer questions about local restaurants...

From the moment we arrived, Colette made us feel extremely welcome at Whatamonga. My husband and i stayed there for the Easter weekend and can't wait to return. We were the only guests there and were staying in the first cabin. When we pulled up, we were greeted by dolphins swimming in the bay and coffee and cake with Colette;...

A simple B&B with 2 independent units and a room for guests in the main house. Stunning views across Marlborough Sound (definitely no need for a television here!). Collette is an attentive host who prepares continental breakfast in the main house, including her own muffins or scones, and chats with guests over breakfast, providing helpful advice on places to visit...

We were so fortunate to be able to stay at Whatamonga for 4 nights....and could have stayed longer. Loved it. The studio unit had everything we needed, the view and location were amazing...couldn't get enough of it....and Colette was very hospitable, providing varied and delicious breakfasts. We stayed in Whatamonga for two nights and it was the highlight of all the places we stayed in NZ. The cabins had to-die-for views and were clean and comfortable and Collette was just the perfect host with breakfasts that the children will be talking about for a long time to come especially those lovely muffins! Thank you

After weeks traveling, and spending a week at bus stops in windy Wellington I began to feel a little uneasy since I seemed to be just biding my time until my trip ended. “There are 2 stand-alone cabins and both are great. There is also accommodation on the ground floor of the home that offers a bath and 1-2 bedrooms. The 2-bedroom option is really to accommodate those traveling with children, family or friends who require a 2d bedroom. If the ground floor is rented to a party using only 1 of the bedrooms, the 2d unit is NOT rented.”
