This place is just brilliant. The service is great, the food is original AND BLOODY GOOD. Long story short, it's THE place to eat. The bonus is that it's very cheat regarding the quality of the ingredients and the skill of the chef. Just try it, you won't ne disappointed

I am actually posting this review from the freestanding tub in the formal suite. I have just returned from swimming with wild dolphins and I'm warming up, with a cold glass of sparking wine and a book. They may not be able to get me to leave tomorrow. I googling immigration and realtors in Canada. This is heaven, how do... More

We had the downstairs room for the first night and then moved to the very posh and luxurious Formal Room with a lovely bath and shower room. Toiletries were of the best lavender products, heated towel racks, excellent linen and bedding. Bathrobes for after showers, hairdryer and a cold jug of water with fresh fruit and lemons on the dresser... More

I would call this a luxury Inn. There is a great restaurant and bar downstairs and 3 suits, one downstairs and two on the second floor. Our (modern) suite (second floor) was expansive with a balcony overlooking the street and marina beyond, a living area with high ceilings, bedroom with wood shuttered windows, and a very large bath with separate... What an absolutely fantastic place, wonderful service and delicious food! My husband and I are driving a campervan around the beautiful South Island of NZ and happened upon 'Escape to Picton' on a local's recommendation! What a treat it was! Try the Pavlova Berry Stack dessert for a real treat! We'll be back for sure! :)

Everybody needs to visit this place. The food is out of this world and the service was top class also. Portion sizes Very generous...Juliana(the chef) came out and made sure our food was how we wanted it. We also stayed in the Modern Suite which would rival any suite around the world. Very reasonably priced too.

What a venue We had the modern suite, we were the only people in the whole house. Bring out of season, the actual house & restaurant close; but Laura welcomed us wonderfully. An open fire on a freezing night; really comfy bed, and magnificent bathroom made for a lovely evening & night. Then this morning, the most superb breakfast. We... More

Wonderful stay at Escape to Picton. The staff was very welcoming, the room was exceptional, probably the best room my wife and I stayed in on our honeymoon. The bedroom was so spacious and the ensuite bathroom was lovely and thoroughly well-kitted out. The hotel was in a great location near to the harbour area and the food served by... More
