My partner and I plus two dogs stayed here overnight. The room was nicely decorated and comfortable. No problems checking in. There are plenty of food places within walking distance. Because you're right in 'town' there was a little noise but overall quite quiet. Would stay here again.

Our one night stay, booked online rather than from seeing the motel, was a real mixed bag. The good includes the central CBD location, the friendly young kid running reception, it was clean and the dogs were friendly. I'm not sure how many units have actually been refurbished (as per the photos on here and the website) but our one... More

We stayed here twice, arriving late both times and in both cases, the key was left for us in the room door, as reception had finished for the day. Neither room was particularly large, but were clean and did the trick, providing a place to lay our weary heads. It the mornings, reception staff took care of us and were... More

We chose this motel because of it being advertised as Pet Friendly. We were charged an additional $20 for the booking to accommodate our two chihuahuas, which we thought was quite steep. On arrival, we found a note on the door to the office, telling us that the key was in the door of the unit, and they were down... More

My family and i stayed overnight on our way from Wellington to Christchurch. The reviews I had read had me concerned, but the room we were given was clean, warm and comfortable. The managers did say that It was the best room in the Motel. The kitchen needed some TLC, but was not required by us so I cant' find... More

The rooms were clean, modern, well organised with everything one would need or want. At first I thought it would be hard being right in the centre of the township, but the location is brilliant, right next to cafes and meals , a supermarket and two seconds from the Ferry. The staff were polite and obliging. Overall, I would recommend... More

An overnight stay in Picton with my mum and my two children. The 2 bedroom unit was perfect for us; it was modern, clean and well equipped. Right in the centre of town, which was very handy for strolling to the playground with the pram and next to a supermarket for getting a few items for breakfast.

Great location and ideal for a family. Friendly and helpful staff. We were also picked up from the train as my mother-in-law could not walk far and had a late check out both free of charge. The unit was clean and tidy, the bathroom toilet area had wheelchair access. There was only a couch so it there are more than... More

We were greeted by 2 lovely dogs as we checked into the Motel. The owners were friendly and still doing renovations to some of the rooms. Our room was modern clean and comfortable and the ensuite the same. The only negative was low water pressure in the shower. Not sure if this was only our room, the hotel or the... More
