Enjoy your stay in Lauterbrunnen!
We had a beautiful junior suite with a balcony overlooking the valley, waterfall and snow-capped mountains. The hotel was convenient to train and bus for exploration of nearby mountain towns, it also was an easy walk to Staubach Falls. The small staff is very helpful. We had an excellent dinner, and especially enjoyed the carpaccio and pizza from their wood-fired oven. We stayed 2 nights and wished we had stayed a third. Have already recommended to friends.
Secure parking, easy walk along the main road (it’s not a big place!) Room was superb! The best we stayed in on our travels through Europe! Heated bathroom floors, extremely spacious, lots of tv channels, awesome bed, and those views!! Highly recommend!
I booked 2 rooms at this hotel from Dec 28-31. Some parts of the hotel were renovated, some are very old. They put my room in the old building at the basement next to the laundry room. The room was supposed to have the Jungfrau and the Fall view. Unfortunately it’s at the basement and blocked by other structures, we barely see anything. The room is with really old furniture, like the 60th. All the outlets are the really old ones. The room has almost nothing provided, no coffee machine, water boiler, not even cups, lotion…..they do have an innovative one with Shampoo, Body soap, face wash All-in-one. Not to mention the hotel probably has more than 5 different colors of old carpets. In my opinion l, it should be ONE star hotel.
Just spent 4 nights at this Hotel. Absolutely loved it. Room was spacious and very comfortable bed. Amazing valley view from our room. Everyone at the hotel was super nice and helpful with everything. Breakfast was excellent and the dinners were very enjoyable with lots of traditional Swiss dishes. Location was perfect and right across the street from the train station. Highly recommend this Hotel! The only downside was the skiing was not good due to very little snow in all of the Alps. Will have to come back another time.
We had a one night stay at the Hotel Silberhorn in Lauterbrunnen. The hotel is situated less than 50 metres from the Banhof and is easily accessible from the main road. It is a perfect location for exploring this area of the alps. All of the staff at reception were very friendly and spoke excellent English. The hotel is very clean, tastefully decorated and the room was beautiful. It was a good size with a table, two chairs, wardrobe with shelves and hangers, a bench as well as a standard in-room safe. There were plenty of electric outlets including one European. The bed was very supportive and comfortable with large foldable pillows. The bathroom was a little on the small side but shower was powerful and water was hot. Our room also had a balcony with fantastic views of the snow capped mountains with a couple of outdoor chairs. We had our evening meal in the hotel. There is an excellent menu with a wide range of dishes at very fair prices. Lucy (our waitress) was friendly and a great help. The pizzas looked superb. The Rosti was fantastic and I would highly recommend! Breakfast was self-serve and was excellent. There were a variety of juices and cereals, including a couple of gluten free options. There were also a selection of breads and pastries, a selection of fruits, cheeses and cold meats. There were three types of hot food; streaky bacon, scrambled eggs and sausages. Boiled eggs were also available. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and we will definitely return when we are next in this area of the Swiss alps. Checkout is earlier than most hotels so we didn’t get to enjoy the room for as long as we would have liked.…
We loved our stay at Hotel Silberhorn. We had a room in the Chalet with a view of Staubbach Falls in Lauterbrunnen, and it was amazing. The room was large, the bed was very comfortable, balcony with chairs and a small table, great shower and bathroom, and the best part was a nice, deep soaking tub with a view of the Falls. We also ate breakfast and dinner there each night of our stay and the food was FANTASTIC! The staff was friendly and helpful, the room spotless, and the views....well, you should just see for yourself! We'd stay again in a heartbeat.
We stayed 3 nights in November 2022 in the Jungfrau Superior Room. It’s a great hotel, right next to the station - which is a big plus as after a long, tiring day you don’t want a long walk to your hotel. Our room overlooked the mountains and the waterfall and had a balcony. B/F is really good with a variety of hot and cold items. The restaurant is nice. There are some good options near the hotel if you’d like to eat out. There are no elevators/lifts so be ready to lug your bags. It has another entrance from the parking that gets you to the second floor. But you will have to lug your luggage for at least one floor (if not two). Overall a really great hotel.
Old hotel in a small Swiss village, Very clean, has good breakfast, very nice staff, very helpful! a big plus!. Premium rooms have wonderful views. NO ELEVATOR --- 4 floors. of steps in the stairway - typically - no elevator - of most hotels in Lauterbrunnen, so beware if you are old or young children. They were short on staff "as are most hotels in Switzerland at this time of my writing" . It is up to you to haul your own luggage up the stairs. Overall I very nice stay. We are mid-70-year-old world travelers.....
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel very much. We booked a superior Jungfrau room which gives you a large balcony with a lovely view of Lauterbrunnen valley and the mountains. Perfect place to relax after a busy day. The room itself is a good size and spotless. The only thing missing was a small refrigerator. Would note there is no air conditioning nor any elevator. Breakfast was buffet and there was a good selection of items. We ate dinner at the hotel a number of times and food was very good. Front desk staff were extremely helpful.
Great location by train station and Coop. Cozy lobby with fireplace. We stayed in a quiet annex building that looked new inside. Deck with table and stunning view on 2 sides. Goats behind the building. Cubbies and counter area in the room. Shower was great. Perhaps because this is near ski areas, floors are hard surface. Americans: rooms are inviting but very basic, don’t expect fast wifi or frills; no coffee before 7:30 but some at the bakery a few doors to the north. That said, they are planning a big renovation next year. Hotel restaurant had typical prices for the area and the best food we had in the village. Amazing breakfast room and garden.
