The Ozadi Tavira Hotel garners mixed reviews from its guests. While the cleanliness of its rooms and pool areas is frequently commended, some visitors question the hotel's overall value, feeling that the cost does not align with the amenities and services provided. The service staff is often described as helpful, although there are occasional reports of inefficiency and a lack of responsiveness. Room comfort and equipment receive praise, but noise issues and maintenance problems are areas of concern. The hotel's amenities and atmosphere receive both accolades and criticism, with the modern decor being a highlight for guests.

We loved this hotel and stayed for three nights! It is located just off a main road about 4 miles out of Tavira. Without a car the location is not ideal. We had our own car and the drive into the centre (with its abundance of free parking) took about 9 minutes. Park near the location of the ferries – plenty of spaces there and no charge at all! Car parking at the hotel was also plentiful and free. Our large room (108) had an ensuite bathroom with a bath and shower. It had a third bed, an easy chair, a small balcony with two chairs, great wardrobe space, a fridge, mini bar, a good sized desk for working, good lighting, and a coffee making device that we never mastered.
Breakfast was a splendid affair with a wide range of cooked and continental offerings in a large well-lit area with seating outside.
However, the hotel does not do hot drinks well. There was a single machine for cappuccinos and lattes (with long queues) and the rest was hot water in thermos flasks. No boiling water available – a simple thing to put right in such a good hotel. It was poor. Similarly in our bedroom, I would have preferred a simple kettle rather than the coffee device that we never worked out how to use.
The hotel had a big restaurant and a separate bistro – but we did not visit them. We did visit the lovely swimming pool with a shallow children’s pool alongside. There were plenty of sun loungers in a lovely garden setting.
In the mornings I jogged a three mile trail around nearby salt pans which was off road and on the level. Just jog up to the roundabout and take the minor road marked ‘salinas’!

The concept and renovation of the hotel is really well thought out. The interiors are lovely and the furniture fits the place very well.

The level floor with the lounge area deserves a visit. The breakfast is taken on the top floor, overlooking Ria Formosa, bathing in the morning sunshine. there is a huge balcony to have breakfast. And speaking of it, is very good even in this Covid specification (no buffet, you are served).

The hotel has taken all precautions for Covid and that is worth mentioning. because of this the gymn (a good one) was closed.

The service is great all around, all staff helpful and friendly.

We had lunch for 2 days and it was good (the price is on the up but you pay for the trendy spot). You can ask for sandwiches and tapas by the pool which is great!

the outside area and facilities are amazing. The pool is very very "instagramable". What a spot. the pool furniture is top notch, with som stylish and very comfortable lounge chairs.

the rooms are very good, with free safe

the price for the stay was good, considering the 4**** star rating, facilities and service offered.

Location is good but you need a car to get around. Very close the Tavira city center and supermarkets also.

Would love to return

Room Tip: level 2 to avoid, if the room is below the breakfast area. Noisy in the morning with the chairs...

Stayed at the Ozadi for 4 nights recently with the family on b&b basis. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, air conditioned clean and the furnishings and features are modern and stylish, as is the restaurant / bar pavilion which was nominated for an architectural award. The food was good, and drinks reasonably priced, the pool area is nicely landscaped with lots of day beds loungers and umbrellas. The Pool was a bit chilly but fine once you got used to it, and was nice and quiet during the day.
The staff were great, and couldn’t do enough to help, particularly when our airport transfer didn’t turn up, they organised a back up at 4am which as a huge relief. The hotel is half way between Tavira and cabanas, and there’s not much else in immediate area of the hotel , so a hire car is beneficial, but the hotel offers a complementary shuttle bus, or a taxi into Tavira is around €7 into town (4km away) , the public bus stop is also just outside the hotel. Tavira is a lovely town with loads of bars and restaurants to choose from. I’d recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay or as a base to tour the eastern algarve.

If you are considering the Ozardi, I would save your money and look at one of the many other accommodation offerings in the Algarve (Quinta Maragota is excellent).

On arrival, you are over burdened with slips of paper about a taxi service (only availalable before we checked in and after we checked out), you are given a piece of paper for ‘welcome drinks’ but the drinks are near on impossible to get. You have to offer yet another small piece of paper to get the pool towels and that is just the start!

Also, breakfast doesn’t start until 07:30 so if you are an early bird, you are out of luck!

When we went up to our room, we found the corridors dusty and not well kept. The toiletries offered in the hotel were great but did not look to have been replenished following previous guests. The cleanliness continues to be poor with rubbish in the bin (guessing from the previous guests) the bin was filthy and it was generally very dusty. For such an expensive hotel (€171 for 1 night), there was not even an ice bucket or ice available (unless going all the way back to the bar!).

When it comes to the restaurant, it was the strangest experience I have ever had. There were more serving staff than guests and they would often loiter and stare. Basic serving skills were absent, I had ordered a carbonated soft drink and they poured it in such a way that it was flat. Once I had finished the can, the breeze blew it on the floor and it rolled away. The member of staff that walked past picked up the empty can and returned it to the table, for it to blow away again!

The food was undercooked and needed to be sent back, we asked for alcohol free cocktail menu and was advised that you can have a pineapple one or another one. No menu was provided and when we did get to see a menu, we found that there was more choice and we had been charged for the alcoholic cocktail rather than the cheaper alcohol free alternative ordered.

The decor is mainly concrete and cork, it is next to a main road and I really am struggling to understand how it can charge so much!

Please, book somewhere else, you will have a better experience.

From entering the hotel was warmly greeted by the staff on duty and asked to see a room before checking in. This was done without hesitation
Stayed 7 nights at this lovely hotel bed & breakfast.
We stayed in a 3 persons superior room which was perfectly adequate for our needs. The room was nice and light overlooking the pool.
Bathroom was a good size. Great shower & bath, water pressure brilliant with plentiful hot water. The water can be very hot so maybe a notice indicating this might be helpful(Health & Safety). This is only a suggestion not a criticism I must add.
Liked the bathroom amenities lovely smelling shower gel and body lotion.
The room was very clean, bed linen & towel beautifully white and also smelt nice and fresh. Housekeeping staff friendly and approachable.
There is a mini bar in the room we did not use but a nice touch if required. Also large complimentary bottle of water in the room and coffee making facility.
Breakfast daily between 8- 11am. Good times!
Again nice welcoming staff everyday at breakfast especially the young lady wearing glasses always greeting us with a pleasant "Good Morning" (apologies for not knowing your name).
The buffet breakfast was nice and the hot food selection always hot! and a very nice selection too. Nice bread and pastries with a selection of condiments available. Fresh juices and self service hot beverage machine available. I recommend the hot chocolate.
We dined at the restaurant twice. The food was enjoyable and tasty again the staff there were very good.
The weather was too cold outside to even consider swimming in the pool but imagine when warmer would be a lovely area to spend the day.
Lots of parking in the grounds which is free.
We drove around Tavira and the outskirts, quiet but I guess it's the time of year and without a car could be far to get to other places
Overall had a very pleasant stay with my husband and daughter and totally recommend staying here. Will definitely come back.

We stayed here 2 nights in early October 2022 (3 adults). The location was easy to get to, great parking, the grounds and pool were nice. We used the outdoor eating area to have drinks a few times, which was good. We did not eat here, except for breakfast, which was good. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and we slept well. This location did seem to draw families with little children, so if you are looking for something more “adults only”, this location might not be for you. We also found quite an issue with flies in the pool and breakfast areas - but that was not unique to the hotel, it seemed to be an issue this time of year throughout the Algarve region. Would recommend as a nice retreat place, more of a family destination.

Hotel is €8 taxi away from Tavera, but they have a free shuttle service. €50 taxi from Faro. Lovely clean and friendly hot. Big bed rooms and bathroom which are well equipped. Bed were very comfortable and cleaned very well on a daily basis. Breakfast is 5 star with a huge choice of Fruit, Fry, cheese, meet, fish and pastries which were well stocked constantly by the staff.
Two pools, one for toddlers other was great for a swim or play in. Loads of sunbeds and places to sit around the pool with memory foam type beds on one side. No need to get up early to reserve a bed as there was plenty available. Staff on hand if drinks were required or just walk up the stairs and sit in the restaurant.
Kids club available, at the pool, and in the evening with staff very friendly and attentive.
Had dinner there which was delicious and good value but menu was a little limited for a long stay.
As the weather was 33 degrees and our first time in the sun we didn't go to the beach.
Some nice touches such as flavored water available in the foray which was great to stop you dehydrating.

We understand it’s out of season but poor. I.e. gym above a bedroom so only allowed to use in certain times, breakfast and gym only in time slots, never been to a boot camp but I’m sure there is resemblance.
The guy behind the front desk was rude, when asked about certain services, his answer was we are not going to open these services for you specifically, you are not VIP.
Been coming to Tavira for many years , first time poor experience in a hotel supposed to have a good reputation.👎

I chose this hotel as it was reasonably priced with free parking and close to the main motorway to Spain. I was very pleased with it, my room was a single, nice toiletries, minibar and nespresso machine. I didn’t have dinner in the hotel but did have breakfast, the breakfast was fantastic, orange juice that was very tasty and a beautiful fresh fruit salad as well as the usual eggs, bacon, pastries etc. I couldn’t fault it and it was much better than some of the high priced business hotels I stay in for work.
The pool was good and the hotel surroundings were very nice, breakfast is served on the 3rd floor and you can dine outside with views to the sea.

I highly recommend this hotel and plan to visit with my wife next time as this trip was to watch football in Seville.

Appalling from start to a very quick finish!
Wrong room allocated so moved to a room that was like staff quarters with a view onto the backside of a car park and what can only be described as waste land.
The room was dirty in that the floor felt like grit/sand, there was hair over the floor which was clearly not our own and ants on the beds. At any point this is not acceptable but during current times this is even worse.
Opened the wardrobe which resulted in an internal partition falling on me and cutting my head! It was clear there’s been an issue before as you could see it had clearly been glued!
Bathroom is a hazardous mess, shower screen is fixed and too short resulting in water spraying everywhere which floods the whole floor. Accident waiting to happen.
Reported to reception who were less than interested and didn’t exert themselves to resolve.
Hotel grounds are ‘nice’ enough if you like white plastic seats but it’s in the middle of nowhere, slightly too far to walk into local town, especially if you have young children.

Due to lack of service to resolve issues from manager who was not only disinterested but possibly the rudest person I’ve come across we decided to leave hotel after less than 24 hours!
Check out was nothing short of embarrassing after trying to explain happy to pay but feel bill needed to be reviewed due to aforementioned- again manager was not willing to discuss anything and was aggressive and threatening regarding what would happen if we didn’t pay, which was not what we were trying to do!
I can only assume that the previously high rated reviews are based on a different team/manager which may have changed due to covid! Our experience was awful and one I wouldn’t want any other customer to endure!
All staff encountered were miserable and unhelpful which further raises concerns re overall management!
