We checked out after two nights fore fitting a nights payment because we booked online through a popular booking service and they refused to refund the night. The place was highly rated but as some say if you want sleep this is not the place to stay. You hear everyone and everything. The beds were terrible as the springs poke...

The place is right above a VERY busy restaurant on the busiest square in town. Sound insulation is non-existent. We didn't get any sleep. Plus, there was mold in the bathrooms and terrible beds and bedding. I do not recommend it to anybody. Had to book it since there was no other accomodation available. The beach on Tavira Isle is...

about 15 min from the bu station and 5 min to the boat to Isle de Tavira (summer time). about 10 min to the supermarket. Downstairs is the restaurant which I believe is run by the same person. staff are nice, but some of them could not speak English, so it was not helpful then. the information is a bit...

The hotel or Bed & Breakfast was unusual in a lovely way. Spotless, central, homely! A very relaxed atmosphere which really made our stay in Tavira. The fact that it is family run really shows in the care of the guests. Situated near the river in a area full of character. A walk in any direction from The Imperial was...

Very friendly and helpful people at this hotel. The service could not have been better. The room was really clean and quiet. The hotel is right near to restaurants, shops, historic city centre, museums and the bus station is 5 minutes walk away. We really loved the friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the hotel and the good food....

This is a family run business, the staff are lovely and very helpful, the rooms are clean but a little dated but for the money there ok, the room we stayed in was a little noisey in the mornings but we got by, the breakfast is continental with the added touch of freshly squeezed orange. Perfect location for the town....

My hustand and I travel quite a bit and stay at a variety of places from 5-star hotels to small guesthouses to apartments. We found Residential Imperial to be top notch. VERY clean - VERY affordable - Super convenient - and while my husband didn't have an opinion on this subject - actually a really stylish decor. We totally tecommend!

We only stayed here one night but enjoyed the experience and would recommend it for non-fussy travelers looking for good value, cleanliness, and charm. The family who run the hotel are warm and friendly and our room, which was toward the back of the building, was spacious and comfortable with a nice window overlooking a side street. "Quaint" is the...

The best thing about this place is the helpful and friendly owners who give you a great welcome. The breakfast is good with fresh fruit, cheese and meats. Our room was very clean and air conditioned but the bathroom was small. The biggest problem is due to the location overlooking the river it can be rather noisy so if you...

We stayed here for four nights and have come back feeling very sleep deprived beware if you have a room at the front of the building it is very noisy!!! Would of liked a bath but there wasn't a plug...The room was very clean and good value for money set within a beautiful location.

“There are a couple of rooms overlooking the Jardim. NIce views but possibly a little raucous as the only English 'pub' in Tavira is directly opposite on the south side of the military bridge. Some noise from refrigerator units in the ground floor restaurant in some of the rear rooms.”
