This beautiful old hotel is the centre of the lovely, historic town of Ponte de Lima. We had a room on the first floor looking out onto the square below, the river Lima beyond and the church with its bell tower next door. The room is well furnished and very clean, with comfortable beds and the sun streaming in through the balcony window. The en-suite bathroom is generous in size with a great shower. Breakfast is included in the price and is very nice, especially the coffee.

Charming little B&B with the sweetest hosts you could possibly want. Spotlessly clean, large rooms, comfortable beds, nice and ample breakfast all in a great location in the heart of old town Ponte de Lima just a block from the river and walking distance to all local sites and restaurants. This place would be a value at twice the price. Limited English spoken here but we got by with a couple glances at our travelers dictionary. Highly recommended.

The hotel is perfectly located in the - quiet - centre of this lovely small town. The building (where the owner was lucky enough to be born!) was originally the grocery store, and reminders of this are artfully retained, especially in the breakfast room with its counter, till, shelves of packages etc. Bedrooms though are carefully modernised with all amenities. Our room was light and airy, with three windows and fresh white décor. The bed was very comfortable, and we slept well. Luckily the nearby church bell stops between the hours of 22.00 and 8.00! Breakfast was tasty and generous, with the home-made cake and excellent coffee a particular attraction... Service throughout was attentive and welcoming. The hotel has no pretensions, but is traditional, homely and altogether charming. We thoroughly enjoyed our three-night stay.

We stayed here for a few nights. The room was small but well equipped and there was a kettle so we could make tea, which is quite unusual in Portugal. The owners were extremely helpful, generous and kind. Very gracious hosts. The breakfast was served in the area which was originally a general store. It is like a little museum, just as it was when it was a store. Quite charming. The breakfast was very good and the coffee was real coffee, made with an espresso machine, to order. With refills. We had one small issue one night, with a family next door to us with very young children who did not settle down quietly or quickly late at night. I don’t know what the heck the kids were doing but it sounded as if large pieces of furniture were being thrown around the room......we knocked on the wall and the noise stopped after a while. The owner was very apologetic when we told him what had happened. Would definitely stay there again!

We loved this immaculate little place, a beautiful historic building in the heart of an equally lovely town. Booked directly and spent 3n here - looked after very well by Eva. Stunning double aspect room (Cha Verde) for 65 Euro / night including breakfast (fresh fresh juices, bread, homemade yoghurt and jams...) Views of the town and the clock tower very picturesque. All in all, perfect. There’s a kettle in the room (bring your favourite teabags) and you have use of a kitchenette too if you need. Spent a whole morning walking the 16km along the river Lima to Ponte da Barca where we had lunch. Enjoyed it so much we walked back too.
