We stayed in this wonderful guesthouse for 3 nights at the end of February. I can barely describe the sheer beauty of this place. The guesthouse, the views, the surrounding, the wine, the food I could go on and on. We had a truly lovely time but the thing that stood out the most was the wonderful family that run this place. Michael, the son welcomed us and looked after us for the duration of our stay. Yannis, the second son runs the wine shop in the village and we had a wonderful welcome from him as well. The owners wife is a truly lovely lady. Fresh baked bread and cakes each morning. Home made yoghurt, home made preserves, I could go on forever. Just one final wonderful touch was as we were leaving on our last morning the owner's wife gave us a large bad of oranges that she had just picked from their own orchard. Utterly wonderful.

Beautiful guest house situated in a quiet square at the East end of the village with views over the sea.
We had two rooms. Both very traditionally decorated and furnished but with all the modern amenities one requires including a decent coffee maker. Added bonus of a complimentary carafe of local wine
Breakfast was plentiful. And was served to your table as a “mini buffet” consisting of fresh fruit salad, bread, meat and cheese, yogurt, a warm selection (chafing daily) consisting of a local “pie”, eggs and sausages. Fresh juice, tea / coffee etc. A sweet breakfast desert was served later, a welcome surprise
The hosts were friendly, and more than willing g to offer advice on local sites, restaurants etc
Would happily return.

Beautiful property in a lovely location at the end of the village opposite a small church.

Rooms were decorated well and the bed was very comfortable.

Michael and his team looked after us well. We stayed during a massive storm and everywhere lost power. We were treated to a candle light breakfast and the offering was still amazing.

We had a problem with hot water in our room but we were given the key to the room right next to ours to use. This didn’t have any effect on our stay and resolved the issue.

Help with bags given, the walk to the city gate is not an easy one with luggage. Take my advice and bring as little as you can.

My family group of 9 had a wonderful stay here. Several of us are older and needed our luggage brought from the “castle gate” entrance to the guesthouse. The staff arranged porters to do this for us. We had several rooms and each was very pleasant and clean. Breakfast on the patio was a highlight of our trip.

The hotel location is excellent being in front of a big square with excellent view of the sea. As it located at the east-end of the caste, there is a longer walking on the the cobbled streets of the castle, but it's worth it.
Excellent breakfast with handmade specialties, pies, cakes, etc.
Very good service with the staff being very friendly and helpful.

We loved this place! Beautiful rooms, comfortable bed, incredible location, generous breakfast and amazing staff. Great value for money! The family that runs this are welcoming and accommodating. Monemvasia castle is magical. Absolutely loved Kelia Guesthouse and was sad to leave!

This was a real find. Kellia is now in private hands & is a great place to stay in this most unusual setting. Although a church obstructs the view of the sea from the rooms, the sound of the waves breaking below is most relaxing.

Kellia is away from the hustle bustle of this small town that is gradually being taken over by part time residents restoring old homes. Definately worth the trip.

The only positive thing about this hotel is its location. The rooms are old and very dirty, and the staff rude - I would not recommend it at all.

Although the hotel is in a magnificient place, the ladies that run it destroy it.
Firts of all it is dirty. REALLY DIRTY !!! Some things have never been cleared up !
The rooms are small and ugly, with no aestetic at all. And it is pitty that it is a really nice place.
The breakfast is horrible, with old toast-bread and syroup-like-honey (!!!) and they charge it in top for 10 Euros...
It is really expensive for what they offer and someone can easily find much better and cheaper rooms to stay no more than 30 meters away (like Malvasia and Byzantine).
Avoid this place if you can.

I had booked a room for Friday and Saturday night. I was about to arrive at the area at one o clock in the night because i had 4 hours driving from my house. I called the owner when i left to inform him that i will be there at 1 o clock. He told me that he will not wait for me until that time and that he is staying at the hotel until 10 o clock. So i realized that is not a hotel but a guest house. If you need something or someone during the night you will find nobody. I stayed at Malvasia Hotel and next morning i went at Kellia to see the area, which is not so good, there are better places inside the castle. The owner is really unprofessional and the price is high for that place.
