Expensive, but well worth the money, this ancient artists' hotel in Skagen has more than its share of charm. The reception is unusually warm and friendly. The rooms are small, simple, but full of charm. The main building is to be preferred as there is might be a bit of noise coming from the street if you choose on of... More

Sat outside in the garden and had the full Monty - a six course menu with wine menu. What a treat - had three small tasters before we hit the menu. Michelin chef Michel Michaud, had outdone himself and we even had the luxury of being served by his granddaughter! A must visit by remember to make reservations.

Had the pleasure staying in room 102 where Hans Christian Andersen once stayed. The room is tiny, but has a beautiful view of the romantic garden with its green lawns and white furniture. During the day the garden is visited by s lot of guests and when the sun sets it gets quiet.

We are staying four nights for a wedding. The hotel is a beautiful historical hotel with very kind and attentive staff. The building has a central courtyard where the hotel restaurant serves lunch and dinner, a nice place to enjoy a quiet coffee, sip a glass of wine or eat your fill from the great restaurant. The rooms are nice,... More

We have stayed here once before some ten years ago so we came back. We had a nice enough room in the Admirals section which is a good 200 meters from the main hotel. Rooms in the main building do NOT have private bathrooms (!) so they were out for us. Our room was ok but with a very small... More

If you book at room at Brøndums Hotel in Skagen you need to choose one of the rooms at Admiral Gården. This is an annex down the street. The plus side to this is that some of the rooms have their own bath and toilet. The rooms are good without being great. The building is old and the windows and... More

We spent a great long weekend at Bröndums 20 years ago, and decided to go back almost a year ago to see if it was just as nice as we remembered it. We got the last available room in the main building. It was small but very clean and tidy. The room didn't have any TV, which was a minus,... More

We have been warned about shared bathroom but one bathroom for 6 rooms? Bathroom looks like it has been made in 70's. Curtain from 1 euro shop in the shower so the whole bathroom is wet when taking a shower. Guys, seriously? The glass shower door costs like 100 eur, which is less than we paid for the accommodation. And... More

This is a quaint, lovely little hotel that is well run, well kept and very comfortable. The history is what drew me here, that it used to be a place for painters and writers to stay, and they've preserved that part very well. I look forward to going back one year.

First off, Skagen, Denmark is as quaint as they come. The entire town is so charming and accessible - it's like stepping back in time. The Brøndums Hotel is the perfect place for that type of experience. It was indeed as others have described, full of old world charm. We stayed in the main building which is the oldest part....
