Our room was very clean which we appreciate very much and despite its from the 80's everything was in good shape. We liked the beds and the furniture. Some of the activities are a little worn down, but everything works - so not very important. We used the badminton facility a lot. We did not use the play grounds and swimming pool. Location is good, close to Skagen city and Ålbæk. We did a lot of biking and the bike paths are very good. All the employees was polite and friendly to us. We would like to come back another time.

It might be somewhere worn, but overall it’s a nice center with a lot to offer. The indoors pool, mini golf courts, zip-line, playgrounds and so on, makes in to a kids paradise. The houses are not exactly new, but gives you both the feeling of privacy and space. I think the price mid summer is a bit stiff, but seams like there’s not much extra capacity witch might make them in-titled to turn up the price. I like Skagen , and will not exclude the possibility that we’re coming back to this Holidaycenter.

Hotel staff quite friendly and food in restaurant is OK - but in general food is excellent throughout Denmark. You have to bring your linens and towels or they provide with extra charge. Even for the pool. There were ants everywhere in our house. Beds are quite uncomfortable. Only dinner is available at the restaurant- breakfast can be ordered takeaway but other than the bread it is very limited. Would not recommend this hotel except if you like camping which means that it should be more like a 2 star.

We are very sorry that you have such a negative perception of our hotel and holiday center, but happy that you enjoyed our restaurant and our friendly staff. As our holiday homes are located in the middle of the nature, there might be ants for a certain period of time. We do of course, whatever we can to prevent it, and normally we succeed. We do however apologize for failing in your holiday home. Kind Regards from Skagen Strand.

Two families (four adults and three children) staying a weekend in February. We booked an apartment with 7 beds. However it had only six beds and one really bad extra bed. This was not according to the information at hotels.com, booking.com or even their own webpage. The correct information was only given in danish on the website. There is a pool area but it was practically impossible to use due to all the chlorine in the water causing cough and rashes. It was also very crowded. Skagen strand does not live up to the four star rating, far from it. I would not retur and not recommend it.

Dear Jenny We are sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience and we appreciate your comment on the inaccurate description of the beds on our English website. The amount of chlorine we use in the pool are according to regulations and we are very sorry if this has been a nuisance for you. We hope that in spite of these incidents you had a nice stay here at Skagen Strand. Kind regards

We really enjoyed our stay. So many things for the little ones to do. Our daughter loved the in-ground trampoline and mini golf. Nice walks and trails. Wish we had more time there. The room was nice. You have to pay for linens. We arrived late and our beds were made up. We recommend this place.

4 adults + 2 children: we booked the larger apartment which had a 2 bedrooms (upstairs and downstairs) with 2 beds each and 2 beds in the loft. The apartment was well equipped with plates, silverware, cooking utensils and cookware. It also had a decent kitchen w/ dishwasher. In the living area, there was ample seating, TV, DVD and stereo. Outside, there was a little patio with a dining set and lounge chairs. While the accommodates were good, it wasn't the DKK1600 (USD245) per night I paid. To make matters worse, it's DKK100/person (USD15) for sheets and towels! Oh, I forgot, you're supposed to clean the unit up and take the garbage out! While I generally have no issues with this, paying this much per night, I expect not to be my own garbage man! I live in Copenhagen and am used to the high prices. But, I get what I pay for. In this case, not! BTW, it's not as close to the beach as it appears in pictures. We drove into Skagen/Grenen, and saw some B&Bs that were as nice, but much closer to the true Skagen! I do not recommend this place for the lack of value alone.

During this Winter School Vacation, we took the entire family (6 adults, 5 children, and one little dog) for a few days to this Vacation Center located close to the northern tip of Denmark. The apartments were perfect for each of the three families, with complete kitchen facilities for 10 people. The swimming pool was good for even the youngest kids; our youngest is 3 years old. There is a steamroom, a sauna, and a little, dark water slide, in addition to a small jacuzzi located in the pool itself. Outdoor activities in the Winter months are limited, but we saw people who played minigolf. The Center has a large sports hall, with 5 badminton zones, as well as a ping pong table that some of us really appreciated. We had buffet dinner on one night in the Center's restaurant, and it suited even the youngest in our crowd.

Nice and quite place in the middle of nowhere 10 kilometers south of Skagen. The apartment have everything you need to relax and cook you own dinner after a day of sightseeing. We did not try the restaurant, but it looks ok.

Price rate for this place is reasonable. The apartments are well maintained and great for family. Although beds are not so comfy specially for people with spinal problems. Apartment 79 beds, comforters, liners and pillows have no stains and smell fresh. If you are more than 5 members in your family might as well bring extra toilet papers spesially if you have kids. I dont know if you can ask for refills. You have to pay for electricity when you check out. Aside from an oven there is a dishwasher and a washing machine. With baking dishes and cooking stuff, a coffee maker and ref with freezer. Disadvantage not so big pool area and not so well maintained playing grounds. Dont you ever leave the place without eating at the restaurant by their reception they have excellent food for kids and adults; a play place near by the restaurant for kids ( 2 - 10 yrs. ) with a tv.
