This was the absolute best vacation we could have hoped for. Every aspect of this resort is as picturesque and amazing as any online photos portray it. The attention to detail and attentiveness of the staff is second to none. I will say that this resort is definitely geared towards couples. We had the Dream House, which is a two bedroom villa. Both bedrooms had pretty open bathrooms/shower areas, so don't go here if you are with someone you aren't willing to see naked. But that isn't a real complain, just info and we could not have been more happy with our stay. The excursions were wonderful, each in different ways. The culture there in Fiji you get exposed to is heartwarming, full of singing and smiles. The food was amazing, most of whihc was grown right there on Namale grounds and the freshness was evident in every bite. If you had to pick a time of the year to go, I would recommend July. It's their winter but the temps are still in the 70-80s F and just perfect for beach fun (though the pools were a tad cold).
We will definitely be coming back in the future! Vinaka, Namale!

Namale resort is a complete gem! Nearly indescribable. We had a once in a lifetime trip for our honeymoon. The staff is incredibly nice, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The bure had the perfect amount of space with a private plunge pool, all of which was cleaned daily with a nightly turndown service. The food was AMAZING. You can get food and drinks delivered to you anywhere on the resort at any time. The spa offerings were easy to schedule and worth the price. The included activities at the resort are what really set Namale apart from other options. The sandbar trip with snorkeling, picnic, and a pick-up game of sand rugby with the staff is a must do activity. The snorkeling and waterfall activities were also a highlight. We rarely saw other guests throughout our stay outside of the cocktail hour and cultural events. We can't say enough amazing things about our stay at Namale, and we hope to return in the future.

First I would like to say that Namale is not just a vacation, it is an experience…one that we are both so happy we were able to have and I would like to thank the entire staff for making this trip such a memorable experience.
When we arrived in Savusavu, our ride from Namale was waiting for us and when we got to the resort there were a group of the staff singing a welcome song and when we left, they sang us a goodbye song that almost made me cry. There was a little bit of a mix up with our room but Nowdla, the manager, quickly took care of that for us and no issue was too small or too big for her to take care of immediately. We stayed in Tabua and it was perfect. They do have very nice shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and lotion so you can keep that at home unless you cannot do without your own.
One thing that was really cool is you design a concrete brick at the end of your stay and they place it on the grounds.
The staff were so happy and pleasant and were always there making sure you had everything you needed.
The food was amazing! I am gluten free and they were always trying to make me some new tasty treats….with much success lol. There are two restaurants, one which serves breakfast and lunch and room service and the main one which serves all meals. The main one has pretty healthy foods, not much fried at all and the other serves pizza, burgers, fries, etc. Ladies, in the main restaurant, you do not wear shoes so do not bring many shoes, you do not need them for dining! Men, wear your flip flops and you do not need long pants for meals.
They do have snorkel gear and reef shoes if you would prefer not to pack your own. Snorkeling is amazing….like being in a movie.
The spa is a definite must! My husband and I went twice and they were absolutely fabulous!
We truly loved this place, very private, not noisy….peaceful.i cannot remember every name but the ones we were around the most, Doreen, Joe, Filo, Sumo, Rosi, Takosi, Mili, Lodi, Paul, Donna, Fiu, thank you and my sincere apologies to those I had missed.

I knew this was going to be a great vacation due to the exotic location of Fiji itself, however, I was not prepared for how flawless the whole experience was going to be. My husband and I booked the Namale Resort & Spa for our honeymoon and it was the best decision we could've ever made. It was a five star experience all around including their amazing hospitality, nightly cultural entertainment, delicious menu options, and vast list of amenities that came with the resort. You definitely get what you pay for! The most special part of this vacation was the relationships we made with the staff during our stay. Everyone who worked at the resort (from reception to service team to spa staff to dive shop workers to grounds crew) were extremely welcoming, upbeat, and FUN! We really enjoyed being around Christian (concierge), Kevin (bartender), Samu (waiter), and Civi (spa). We also had a blast with the entire Dive Activity crew. Christine, Emosi, Junior, and Paul were phenomenal as they made all activities effortless, pleasurable, and exciting. We felt safe in their hands at all times during both on site and off site events. It was evident that the Dive Activity team went out of their way to make our time there perfect. Thank you so much for making our honeymoon unforgettable!

Warning to prospective vacationers, this is not a five or even three star resort. The resort is quite old and has not been maintained well. It starts from the moment you are picked up in a less that average vehicle. They drop you at reception and be warned the mosquitoes are vicious and the itch they leave behind is insatiable. The golf carts that drive you around are incredibly old and in need of service and the drivers are very quiet. We ordered room service the first day and it took forever even though there were only 4 couples at the resort at the time. Overall the food was far from great - nothing is seasoned and everything was over cooked and very mediocre at best. Service was ok yet very slow. The staff were friendly but you could tell they don’t strive to give you an amazing customer service experience. Did the sand bar tour for an extra $100 and again old boat and the sand bar had garbage all over it and mostly crown of thorns to see while snorkelling. They give you a mayo based sandwich for lunch that was in a hot cooler for hours (who does that). I guess the resort is owned by Tony Robbins but he sure doesn’t put any money back into the place and we felt ripped off quite frankly. Other factors, gym was ok but very old equipment as units are apparently hard to get. Cultural shows were ok but felt forced (touristy). Bugs are wild, ants everywhere and spiders and roaches in the Villa every night as there are dozens of entry points they can’t be sealed. Our pool, although large in our Villa was not treated properly and my Wife and I received skin infections as a result. Wifi only in our room and at reception and it’s spotty and weak at best. Spa was nice although we asked for 2 female massage therapists and ended up with a man and woman. Not sure how hard that was to get right. Booze is plentiful. Bowling alley was cool but only one of two lanes worked. Power goes out a lot and their back up generator is also sketchy. Solid 2 of 5 but if your expectation is top notch food and service in a somewhat protected from the ravages of nature environment, you seriously need to be somewhere else.

Bula Scott, All of us at Namale were saddened to learn via your TripAdvisor post that your stay with us at the Namale Resort & Spa over the recent holiday did not meet your expectations or our consistent, well-documented high standard of guest service and experience. As Travel + Leisure readers’ #1 ranked resort in the South Pacific of 2022, we respect every guest’s personal choice of how they like to experience travel and vacation, and we seek to accommodate those needs and desires during their stay. First, we wish you would have shared any concerns with us while you were at the resort so we could have corrected any areas in which we may have fallen short in your experience. Our goal is always for our guests to have the most enjoyable experience while with us. We do have a record of you calling our reception desk early in your stay when there was a minor issue in your Villa. That record shows that the issue was resolved to your satisfaction in a relatively short period of time. Other than that instance, we can find no record, including guest surveys that are provided to all guests, expressing any of the concerns shared with TripAdvisor while you were with us. While we wish every guest felt they enjoyed a 5-star experience at Namale, 86% (399 of 462) of TripAdvisor posters do rate it a 5-star experience and another 9% (40 of 462) a 4-star experience. We invest heavily in maintaining a 5-star resort experience at Namale, including millions of dollars for capital improvements being invested into the resort in 2023. Namale’s staff, and Fijians themselves, are naturally kind, welcoming people who seek to go above and beyond to ensure guests have a great experience. Typically, Fijians are welcoming, but out of courtesy and cultural norms, they may not start an in-depth conversation with a guest or outsider unless a conversation is started with them. Fiji and Namale Resort & Spa are both spectacular places. It is why Nowdla and I I have have been grateful for the privilege to work here for the past 12 years. We love the wonderful people here, and the majority of our guests do as well. We are truly sorry that you did not have the same experience during your stay. We sincerely wish we had been given the opportunity to turn the trip around for you early in your stay. No one can guarantee perfection 100% of the time. What I can say is that the staff here at Namale is second to none at making something right when given the opportunity. We hope to have the opportunity to serve you again and would welcome the opportunity to speak with you at your convenience.

OK. On the face of things it is not a cheap getaway but if you factor in that your meals AND drinks are included Namale is worth taking another look. As a honeymoon destination or perhaps to celebrate a special occasion, Namale will certainly please.
No bills to scour over on the last day is a great feeling. The resort is very much tailored for the US market hence the predominantly American guests that were visiting. Certainly not an issue for us and great to meet some people from the other side of the world.
The food was for us very good though we felt a little restricted in choices for some. I personally found a lot of the food over salted to my liking but that may be a personal thing. For those that like wine with dinner there was a very reasonable New Zealand and Australian wine list to choose from. There is also a well serviced bar with a broad range of spirits and mixers to have created cocktails and night cap drinks for those who want to party on. I can totally recommend the prawns. They just pop in the mouth. Would have been nice to see more seafood options (crayfish) and the Kakoda which is a Fiji highlight.
The rooms are all stunning, spacious, well appointed and totally relaxing. We had a garden room originally which was perfect but were upgraded for our last night to a magnificent honeymoon suite (many thanks). We were originally in the ‘Lisi’ room but we were able to move to ‘Lynetti’. The weather was not so good and having an outdoor covered area offered us some space to be able to sit outside while it rained and was worth the move. The further move to Loloma was a complete surprise and very much appreciated.
What really impresses is the sense that you are the only people there. Other than for meal times when you may wish to go to the restaurant you would not know there were others on the resort.
The spa centre is out of this world. The best massage I have ever had. The hydro pool, sauna, waterfall massage and plunge pools are all complimentary.
My only criticism (constructive) is the communication prior to booking and while at the resort. While the weather is not the fault of the resort, it is important that guests are kept better informed particularly with challenging weather and that options are provided.
All up 4.5/5.0

Bula! We deeply appreciate your visit to Namale Resort & Spa and the thoughtful review you shared here on TripAdvisor. Welcoming guests from around the globe is a privilege, and our aim is to craft exceptional holiday experiences for each of our guests. Your enjoyment during your stay means the world to us. Our all-inclusive resort allows you to relax and indulge without worrying about expenses for food, beverages (including alcohol), and numerous activities. Though uncommon, severe weather can occasionally affect Fiji. During such times, guest safety remains our top priority, and we work closely with airlines to ensure smooth arrivals and departures. We trust you had the chance to partake in our various land activities, both our regular offerings and specially curated experiences. As we navigate through unexpected changes, we continuously strive to enhance our communication with our guests. Our commitment to serving freshly caught seafood is a point of pride. However, inclement weather might occasionally affect our seafood menu as fishermen may be unable to go out during these times. The intimate boutique setting of our resort, set across vast acres, provides the exclusivity that our guests cherish. Whether in our restaurant or on your bure's outdoor deck, we hope you found moments of tranquility during your stay. Our award-winning spa is a source of pride for our team, and we're delighted you had the chance to unwind with a treatment and enjoy our hydrotherapy room. We eagerly await the opportunity to welcome you back to Namale Resort & Spa, where we'll continue crafting magical memories together. My husband and I stayed at Namale for a little over one week last year, and could not have imagined a better experience.
It was a long trip to get there, but the breathtaking location, friendly and attentive service, and delicious fresh foods made it absolutely worth the travel time. Our villa included a plunge pool, hot tub, indoor and outdoor showers, three private decks, a staircase down to our very own private beach/ocean access, and a pool table and giant movie projector screen.
Everything (with the exception of the evening couples and private spa experience we did) was included! We were driven to a private picnic at a waterfall were we could go swimming, had a candlelit dinner on the beach under a rock formation, were taken to a snorkeling location and had a private tour, took a bus into town and toured the market and shops…the options felt unlimited. The bowling alley was also a fun spot!
My husband and I hope to go back again at some point in our lives, because we both agree it was one of the best trips either of us had ever been on.

We stayed at Namale the first week of September for our Honeymoon (life is hectic and took us a while to get around to writing the review) and all we can say is the resort, experience, people and lastly the food was all EPIC!! The staff is amazing and all know your names by the first morning, so very genuine and friendly. There were too many to name them all but Tony, Kevin, Molly, Tupsy, and Samu (worlds best smile award) were all just totally awesome.
We stayed in both an oceanfront bure and the Duvatta Villa and both were excellent. The Bure is of a good size with a great view, amazing bed, a shower that can open to the ocean if you prefer to be a little closer to nature. Duvatta was top notch with an infinity pool, separate dining and wet bar room with glass doors that open to the pool, treehouse with a table and queen size lounger in it, a walk in closet, a jacuzzi tub, indoor bathroom/shower, outdoor bathroom( my fav) and two outdoor showers! We probably would have done more activities but the villa was so nice we enjoyed just ordering drinks and food to the villa and lounging by the pool. Everything was breathtaking on the grounds, the entertainment was wonderful, all the special dinners and lunches were awesome as well. The Spa is top notch and both the wife and I got multiple massages and took advantage of the hydro room, waterfall massage, and sauna. The Kava bowl while not as top notch as we see in the states worked just fine and was a fun way to spend a rainy afternoon.
It felt like home for a week and you hardly see the other guests ( max capacity is only 38 people) with so few people and the resort being so big (hundreds of acres) you feel like you have it to yourself. Most days the only time you see people are at breakfast and dinner. The managers Bill and his wife were visible and available on the grounds daily and always there to chat at the evening cocktail time. Each day when you see another couple leaving you feel sad for them until it’s your departure day and you feel “voted off the island” because you have to leave. Food was top notch blows away anything I have ever seen at any all inclusive. Also about there all inclusive you don’t tip as you go (tipping is not a custom) but can choose to leave a gratuity at the end if you choose that you can split between a “holiday” fund, a medical fund, and an education fund. In fact once there you can literally put away your wallet, phone etc and all you need to carry with you is your room key for the rest of your stay.
Highly recommend!!!!!

This is n excellent place to disconnect for a bit. My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and this experience was all we needed. Relaxing but not in a boring way. We did everything at our own pace. The staff here is amazing! The bures are isolated so it feels like its just you. They also put out fresh cookies in your room everyday. You can talk to the chef if you want to eat something special and he/she can prepare it for you. Ohh, I loved the kava night. The drink itself is relaxing, they sing songs and make it very interactive. All the other entertainment nights are fun too! We did all the included activities and also the sand bar snorkeling trip (it is worth going to).

This trip was absolutely amazing! We wanted something a little more remote but also have the ability to have some once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and Namale fit the bill! The snorkeling was fantastic - the corals had so much color and so many fish. We even saw turtles and quite a few sharks! Remote island picnics, and incredible fishing—we were blown away at this amazing island. The chefs took the tuna we caught and served us sashimi and sushi within minutes. It was fantastic. The employees at Namale are so wonderful—we met so many incredible people. Our bure was spectacular and anything we could have needed was there.
If you are having any doubts—we stayed at another resort after Namale and kept saying how we wish we had stayed longer! The staff, food, and location really are fantastic!!!
