We had the most wonderful stay at the St Regis! The butlers and restaurant hosts were so wonderful from the moment we arrived. We had requested a Bungalow with more privacy since we were on the sunrise side (inner circle of boardwalk). They not only accommodated this request but also upgraded our room. The room was absolutely pristine and decorated for our honeymoon with multiple surprises. We couldn’t get over the wonderful St Regis scent they kept spraying throughout our stay.
Food was incredibly expensive but I think this is known among the islands and we were prepared for that. I believe most book on points so we factored this into the cost before we traveled there. With that said, the food is EXCELLENT! Breakfast buffet is everything you could imagine. Our favorite restaurant was Orientale which was an absolute standout. And the Indian Ocean night was worth the money!
We were some of the few who took advantage of the group workout classes and yoga and loved all of it—these were included with your stay. As for the spa, water sports, excursions I wish the St Regis would make them more affordable—the pricing is borderline outrageous. But they were forthcoming so we just chose not to do those things. It would be nice if they leveled those prices for their guests who have traveled far to be there. Snorkels were provided for free which was amazing—best snorkeling we have done!
We have two people we want to mention. Zayaan, our butler, was absolutely incredible. He was so gracious and very responsive. If we needed anything (steamed clothes, new snorkels, more towels, reservation changes) he was there within minutes and took care of everything. We have never felt so pampered during our stay. We both appreciated his hospitality as well as his kindness as he helped us resolve small issues. He also always checked in to make sure there if there was anything we needed.
Additionally, we want to mention Imdah who is the host at Orientale but ended up serving and caring for us at multiple meals. We felt so cared for and he really made our dining experience special. He both gave great recommendations along with sharing pieces of his culture. He created great ambiance and great service. We also very much enjoyed his personality and had a few good laughs.

We had an unbelievable trip - it could not have been better! The resort is beautiful, and the reef it is on was incredible. Just snorkeling off our villa deck and around the resort, we saw multiple reef sharks, sting rays, starfish, and tons of beautiful fish. You can also spot many sharks and stingrays while walking on the docks that connect the villas. It was magical. The beaches were also beautiful and perfect for relaxing. We took a windsurfing lesson which was a lot of fun, and our instructor Adam was a great and upbeat teacher. We also had a wonderful massage and facial at the beautiful, serene spa.
Our overwater villa was absolutely gorgeous, and we enjoyed the private pool and the full wall of windows overlooking the ocean and the stunning sunsets. Almas, our room attendant, kept our room spotless and left fun surprises every day such as nice notes on the mirror and towel animals with palm art on the bed. The breakfast buffet had everything we could want and more, and the soft shell crab was a highlight. The restaurant teams were wonderful and created a lovely experience at each meal. And all the food on the resort was delicious.
Our butler Abanoub was amazing and went out of his way to make our stay incredible. He too left many fun surprises for us, such as champagne and chocolates, a bubble bath with floating tropical flowers and very impressive palm leaf art, and a plate of macarons. He gave excellent recommendations for snorkeling locations and advised us on the best times to go based on weather forecasts. He is a lovely person and we really enjoyed getting to talk with him. Our stay would not have been the same without all his attention to detail!
The whole team at the resort is clearly focused on surprising and delighting their guest, and it makes for a truly one of a kind experience. Highly, highly recommend!

My husband and I decided to celebrate our anniversary here and it definitely exceeded our expectations! Prior to our stay, we received multiple emails from St. Regis regarding our preferences, information on arrival, etc. On arrived to Male at night time, so we stayed a night on the island before making our way back to the airport for our seaplane. The arrangements were seamless, our hotel was already informed of our seaplane time and helped arrange a ride for us back to the airport. St. Regis staff met us at the airport, helped us check in our luggage for our seaplane, and we were led to the lounge where we were served breakfast while waiting for our seaplane. The seaplane was very smooth and took about 45 minutes. When we arrived to our island, our butler, Mena, met us there and took us in a buggy/golf cart to introduce us around the resort. It was really easy to contact Mena through WhatsApp; he helped us arrange all our itineraries for our days there including dinners, spa time, excursions, etc. Mena even set up our room with flowers & other decorations to celebrate our anniversary, it definitely made us feel special! Our housekeeper Asif was also wonderful, he leaves special messages/surprises and set up the room perfectly everyday. All the staffs there were so friendly and amiable! The water was clear and perfect for snorkeling, they provided snorkeling gear. We also get bikes to go around the island, but if we need a buggy to get anywhere, it was really easy to message our butler and either he or someone else would promptly show up to take us to our destination.
Overall, definitely recommend, especially if you love water activities. It’s also great for any special occasions.

Just home from a weeks family trip here, usually we stay elsewhere but changed due to portion sizes being small at our last resort. Our Butler Hussain and room attendant Hameed were excellent and did their best to accommodate and assist us I cannot fault them. Hameed is very creative and produced wonderful towel animals and bed decorations! As for the hotel, a few things need improvement. Our beach villa roof was leaking in the rain. The beach is stony, rocky and very shallow you cannot swim and stay close to the shore and most definitely require SEA SHOES. All of us cut ourselves on the corals! You can swim a little easier after lunch when the tide comes in. Every day my husband and I collected rubbish from the ocean and the beach front. I disliked the set up of the room where the children were upstairs, the stairs are located in a partial outdoor area which is covered only by wood slats (mosquitoes) so we had to lock the door to our room down stairs and their room upstairs meaning it felt very separate and shouting didn’t work - would avoid with young children. We were shocked the first dinner meal as a family of four cost 800 dollars! I didn’t feel the prices reflected the quality of food here or again the portion sizes which are very very small. They failed to understand dairy free and brought over Nutella…. So restaurant staff could use allergen training. Dolphin boat trip was the highlight of our stay. Overall we had a nice trip but not a trip where we fell in love and can’t wait to return - just a nice average stay.

We could not recommend the St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort highly enough. We are frequent Marriott Travels across all their brands and this is one of the greatest hospitality experiences we have ever had.
First and foremost, the property is stunning. The beaches and ocean are indescribably beautiful and set the scene for a wonderful trip whether it is a honeymoon, family trip, or annual voyage. The is complemented with the state-of-the-art villas which combine sleek decor and terrific amenities to really provide you the quintessential bungalow on the water experince.
In addition the hospitality of the staff is second to none. Our tremendous Butler, Haroon worked miracles to ensure our trip was immaculate from noting our personal preferences, to helping us navigate the various experiences available, to special gifts from the resort, to helping us take sunset photos on the beach. We could not have asked for a more bespoke experience.
As major foodies, we were not at all disappointed. The St. Regis Breakfast is exceptional with a variety of cuisine. I don't usually eat breakfast however, this was so delicious, I looked forward to it every single day and ate three times as much as I expected to because it was that good. The resort has a variety of restaurants with a blend of cuisine and dietary accommodations which was sincerely appreciated. We also participated in a 'dinner under the stars' which was a stunning experience.
Finally, the activities on the resort were tremendous. In particular the snorkeling was the best we have ever experienced. It literally felt like we lived 'Finding Nemo' because the visibility and beauty of the ocean ecosystem was flawless.
In summary this was an 11/10 experience. I would recommend the Maldives and in particular the St. Regis Vommuli to anyone who is interested.

This resort is absolutely stunning and every single detail is well thought out. My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and could not believe how amazing the experience was from start to finish. The views were breathtaking, the service the best we’ve ever experienced, and the food at every restaurant was phenomenal. Our Butler, Meera truly made the experience with all her surprises, decorated bath’s, surprise cake and coconuts, she even had the boutique store opened early so we could stock up on sunscreen. When we made a comment about some itchy sunburn, she immediately had calamine delivered to the room. Shiwan from housekeeping was also amazing. He left such thoughtful notes, ensured the room was spotless and smelled amazing, and was so genuine, taking time to get to know us. There are no words to describe how amazing the food was, every single thing we ate was delicious. This was some of the best food we have ever had. We tried every single restaurant and the staff was SO kind. We loved how they took the time to speak with us about recommendations, teach us about the island, and everyone was so kind. We could not recommend this experience more highly and will definitely be back! I could write an entire essay on how amazing this resort and its people are.

Words cannot adequately capture our extraordinary stay at The St. Regis Maldives, where we celebrated our honeymoon. The team went above and beyond in every aspect, making our stay truly memorable. Unlike other St. Regis properties, here you get to experience their renowned hospitality and 24-hour butler service from the moment you land.
The St. Regis experience begins at the airport with a seamless connection to the seaplane, facilitated by the attentive airport butler team. Their wonderful lounge allows for relaxation before boarding.
Upon arrival at the resort, we were warmly greeted by our personal butler, Meera, who attended to us throughout our five-day stay. She welcomed us with fresh coconut water and arranged the most perfect seats in the arrival lounge while taking care of our belongings. After a personalized tour of the island and its amenities, we were escorted to our overwater villa to complete the check-in process. We were delighted to find chocolates, a fresh fruit bowl for the week, and a bottle of champagne waiting for us.
Meera curated a custom itinerary based on our preferences, sending daily morning messages with activity reminders and checking in frequently to ensure our comfort. The butler team exceeded our expectations, constantly communicating to ensure all dietary needs were met. The wait staff at each restaurant were well-informed about our preferences, and they continued to personalize our experience each day.
The team surprised us daily, from complimentary drinks and desserts at the restaurants to a romantic bubble bath after dinner and unexpected experiences at the blue hole hydrotherapy pool. Our villa attendant, Mohamed, left heartwarming messages after morning cleaning and evening turndown service, which always brought a smile to our faces. Mohamed also ensured our villa was perfectly prepared and comfortable.
While leaving the resort was bittersweet, the team made our departure as smooth as possible, arranging for an airport host to assist us through check-in and passport control. Meera continued to follow up until we safely boarded our flight to Abu Dhabi.

5 starts isn’t enough to explain the pure bliss and perfection that is the St. Regis Maldives. From the welcome service, to housekeeping to the beach attendants to our person butler, Amy, St. Regis did not miss. My husband (titanium elite) and I visited this resort for our honeymoon. The hotel went above and beyond to acknowledge our special occasion.
We stayed in an overwater bungalow which was impeccably cleaned twice daily by housekeeping. Our personal plunge pool was large and well-maintained. We had two chairs on our bungalow deck with fresh towels daily and snorkeling gear that was always ready to use. The hotel conveniently placed two bikes outside our bungalow for easy cruising around the private island. Housekeeping does not get enough recognition for how clean they kept our room. From daily cleaning to turn down service they were incredible.
The food at this hotel is expensive (as is everywhere in the Maldives) but it is worth it. For reference, 2 people for dinner typically cost between $200-$450 USD. Not every restaurant is open every night so make sure to clarify with your butler. The breakfast buffet is incredible which free flowing champagne. There is a wide selection of food and if you can’t find anything you like the chef will make something by request.
Serene, peaceful, relaxing, luxurious. This hotel is a dream. Thank you to our butler, Amy, for such a wonderful experience. We hope to be back one day!

St Regis is a beautiful resort with clear water and friendly staff everywhere. It is approx. 40 mins via sea plane, so recommend arriving AM, otherwise stay in Male for one night. The check in / out processes were seamless. As soon as we arrived, the support staff picked us up, got the luggages checked in for sea plane and we rested in their lounge before on boarding. We stayed five nights, redeeming the Bonvoy points. The room was a garden villa then later we were upgraded to beach villa and it was very nice. I heard from other guests that if you stay in over the water villa, you may watch more fishes. But we were also happy with our option as we could step into the water instantly and swim so easily. It was such an experience. Also you must opt in for breakfast (and my favourites were their citrus superfood bowl and lobster omelette) and skip lunch (or late breakfast). For dinner, we’ve tried almost all venues, except cargo. But most of the dinner options are available (though limited) during the breakfast time. So I recommend trying them and find your taste then go for it. In terms of dinner options, I was not really impressed. But if you want few suggestions, T-Pan is nice but you need to spend from $350 pp (incl tax and service). The venue is small so it is intimate. For Orientele, try Japanese dish, like Miso cod. Everywhere we went for dinner, we spent avg $200 and more. Good news, you will enjoy breakfast. For the excursions, we did snorkelling in the sea. The water is so calm, warm and clear you will instantly see so many fishes after 2-5 mins swimming. Also recommend doing the fishing activity too then eat your fish later for dinner. Our whole stay at St Regis was special, not to mention all lovely staff from the restaurant, watersport centre, transport support, but cannot have done all without Mena, who was our dedicated butler. The communication was instant - we created our whatsapp groupchat and booked for activities. We will miss his hospitality…. And kindness so much. The island is well covered with trees everywhere. It is nice for evening walks.

We stayed at the St. Regis Maldives in an over water villa for 5 nights in January 2025. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by Vincent Pauchon, the General Manager & resort team with fresh coco water.
There are so many things to love about this place:
-The resort is beautiful, house reef just a few steps from the beach with colorful fishes. The view from our room was breathtaking, the Sunset Overwater Villas at St. Regis let you enjoy the magnificent Maldivian sunset above the gorgeous turquoise waves of Indian Ocean. We loved walking/ biking around the property and the staff took wonderful care of the property.
-The restaurants and food is very good to excellent. We especially enjoyed breakfast/ dinner at Alba, creative pizza compositions and excellent quality from Crust & Craft.....
-"Room" is flawless. All the little details was insane. Its really nice to get back to a clean and neat room. You're rock, Luffie!
- Special thanks to our butler, Mena went above and beyond. He was very helpful, friendly and professional. He made hotel reservations, suggested great activities, brought us delicious snacks and dish of fruits, lots of gifts, bath tub decoration......very cute touch!
We cannot thank enough all of the staff members of the Maldives, including transportation group for giving us a truly unforgettable vacation

I would say dinner will cost you roughly $100/person without drinks at most restaurants if you have an appetizer and entree. We split a pizza at the pool for lunch which was maybe $40-50?
The monsoon season runs from May to October. Even when it rains, it is very unlikely to rain for days to an end but might rain for a couple of hours during the day or night leaving plenty of time to engage in watersports or just laze around in the sun simply doing nothing. Simply put, it is quite difficult to forecast weather in a tropical setting like ours.
A rainy day is an ideal day to enjoy a massage at the Iridium Spa or just enjoy an exquisite meal at one of our restaurants .
No, this does not seem right. We paid everything upon arrival and checkout right in our villa, as there is no formal checkin/lobby. Call the elite number and speak to someone. The manager at the St. Regis is amazing. Contact him Vincent Pauchon. He could not do enough for us and made any and every issue we had disappear and had the most memorable trip ever!!! Enjoy, it is truly heaven on earth!!!
There are more places to choose from in the Vommuli Island area.
