It is near the the entry of "Kopalnia Wieliczka". I can recommend this hotel but there is some things to make better: - first day of my stay was very hot and temperature inside the room was high too, I have to pay additional for air condidtioning; I think the room should be prepared for new customers - restaurant was open to 8 pm (at Saturday) - cofee machine in restaurant was damaged and make coffe without cofee (it make drinks with only milk)
We were due to stay here for three nights but ended up only staying for one night and then booking somewhere in Krakow Old Town area. The hotel is just ok nothing more, nothing less. Its ideal for the salt mine and if it wasn't for the poor public transport then probably ok for travelling into Krakow town. The breakfast was poor so I'd look at somewhere else to eat although you'd struggle to find somewhere as it's a small place. One word of advice to the hotel would be to make sure your front of house knows about public transport links as he let us down badly with not knowing the trains weren't running correctly, bearing in mind the station is just 5 minutes away and a key link to Krakow he should of known or at least offered to find out when we told him there were problems. Agree this is a three star hotel.…
My hubby and I went here 3 times for a feed, once for breakfast and twice for dinner and we can’t complain we had a fantastic feed - highly rate it.... and on the 3rd time we ordered the chefs special and it was absolutely phenomenal.... you won’t be disappointed at all...
Please, please, please do your research before choosing to stay at this hotel. I bought this as a birthday present. Everything was going so well until we arrived at the hotel for them to tell us they dont have our booking reference. We showed them the email. The receptionist phoned her manager to have her screaming down the phone were fully booked.we had our reference so phoned the holiday company in which we booked. The holiday company had our holiday booked and live. It took another 5 phone calls to the manager screaming down the phone to find the reference. However, they were fully booked leaving us stranded in poland. The holiday company told the hotel it wasn't acceptable to leave us like this and they had to find us another hotel. They wanted us to stay in two separate hotels and not with each other. The love holiday rep had to argue on the phone with the receptionist to find is somewhere to stay. They eventually found some where for us to stay after an hour of arguing and crying to the receptionist who wasn't helpful at all. They never paid for our transport to the other hotel and again left us stranded in the hotel and wouldn't help us. I have travelled to many countries and stayed in top 5* hotels to 1* hotels. But I can honestly tell you. This is the worst hotel I've ever been to. They sent us to a hotel with bugs in the room, blood on the walls. We will be requesting a full refund, the manager has no sympathy and a formal complaint is being raised with their supplier, the manager needs training in customer services.…
We stayed a week in this charming hotel. Staff helpful hotel was full so we didn't eat an evening meal due to large groups. Eating close by some nice places. Clean and comfortable hotel . Easy to get to Krakow by bus or train. Small town close by and the salt mine was amazing a three hour tour may be too long for some people. Krakow has so much to do and see food lovely. Would love to come back.
Hotel Galicja is located nearby the biggest attraction in the village- the salt mine. The whole hotel has a very nice design, rooms are clean and very comfortable. Breakfast is excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely a great base in Wieliczka
Great place for small business meetings (business lunch) - near to Kraków, but outside of crowded places, just a few steps from Salt Mine, which can be an additional attraction to your business partners. Good food.
We arrived late and left early the next morning, so we weren't able to enjoy much of the hotel, but the receptionist was so nice, friendly, and accommodating, I wanted to review the hotel to say that. It is a small hotel, but right next door to the salt mine, so we checked out sometime after breakfast. The breakfast buffet had a good selection, and many coffee options, for a very satisfying breakfast. The free wifi takes some time to connect, but when it does it is adequate.
Stayed with my wife on Saturday night. Before check in we decide to go for a lunch in hotel's restaurant. We ordered Meal of the Day: vegetable soup and polish style pork mince chops with potatoes and salad. Soup was nice but but pork mince chops and potatoes were awful. Breakfast was the same, very low quality and choice of food. I have never paid for a car park in any hotel but here you will pay 15PLN per day. Only good point at this hotel are nice, large and clean rooms.
The hotel is near the salt mine that should be visited. The room was clean and breakfast very good (but for mine opinion too expensive). The person at the reception was friendly, ready to help. The parking places are in the fenced yard.
