What a truly lovely surprise to come across..... fine dining experience and great service. Didn't book and was lucky to be here...... spent nearly 2 hours dining and drinking very well!! A must visit if you can combine with the mine.

We stayed at the Salt Mill guest house, which is part of the Grand Sal hotel but had our 3 course lunch at the Grand Sal as part of our package. The staff is helpful and welcoming from the moment you step in. The food is delicious: we tried traditional Polish food; Poland is famous for its delicious soups (beeroot... More

We stayed for 2 days and visited the salt mines as well as local sites. It is very cheap to get to Kraków by train and very inexpensive. We used it as a base for travel to other places. Staff were very helpful an d the hotel clean, modern and inexpensive.

The hotel staff are friendly, I passed by the hotel to look around while waiting for my tour to start at the Salt Mine, we sat at the terrace and the service was very good, beautiful seating area, beer was very cold and the menu has good varieties of food to offer. I recommend this place if you have time... More

The Grand Sal is just next to the Salt Mine, but it was hard to find the entrance because it isn't marked well. The room was comfortable, but small for the price. Bathroom was large by comparison. Tub/ telephone shower was slippery and dangerous to get in and out of. Better, room darkening curtains are needed especially for the front... More

It was my second time in Wieliczka, but first time at Grand Sal. Very comfortable and as close as possible to the "Kopalnia soli Wieliczka". We had very nice stay, sunny and hot. Rooms are appropriate for family, there is no problem to make a deal, very friendly receptionists. Breakfast are diverse and a lot of fruit and salads.

The hotel was really nice: room was specious, modern and clean. Quite quiet hotel; I did not see many people there apart from breakfast. Really basic breakfast and coffee from the machine. Great location! Hotel looks nice from outside but maybe lacking a bit of characteristic considering the hotel is part of the salt mine. If you wish to stay... More

The grounds and hotel seem really nice, I guess on another day it would be a good experience, but there is an event on in the grounds, the main car park was closed and was a nightmare to find the rear one, which has space for all of 10 cars so lucky we got a space at all. We were... More

If you plan to go to the salt mines stay here, your almost steps away. The price was right and we got a large sitting room, bedroom, great bathroom, with all the pluses. We had dinner there that night and it was very enjoyable with good food, not tourist fare. Breakfast was also well presented as a buffet.
