    Quiet shelter for explorers
This is a 3 star hotel and it is exactly as it should be. Clean, in quiet residential part of the town, well managed, with caring staff, reasonable priced. Perfect breakfast (included in price). Just for espresso from capsule machine you have to pay extra 7 PLN. You have to think about parking, cause there is less parking places than rooms. So make reservation in advance or agree some "non standard" solution. Recommended. We stayed 2 nights in April/May.

    Friendly
Just back from four days in Hotel Solny is in Wielicza. This is a nice quiet hotel. We found staff friendly and so helpful. Hotel manager has perfect English and is so helpful. Their one aim was to please us. Locals are so kind and friendly. Bring good walking shoes. It is a little distance to bus stop. I have yet to meet such friendly, thoughtful and helpful people. Only downside is a little bit far out from Krakow.

    Great for one night stay
Hotel is situated in a quiet area of Wieliczka not far from route 64 and considerable close to Wieliczka Salt Mine. As a 3* hotel, don't expect luxury but a clean and decent place. Staff is extremely helpful, smiley and my impression was even if they don't all speak English, they tried to accomodate all of our needs. The rooms where we stayed in were big, the bathrooms were visible refurbished and had some small toiletries. Beds are a bit too small for an adult so if you wish to stay here, ask for a double bed! What I found strange is, if you book a double room but you are given a twin beds, you are not to use the second one otherwise they will charge you with the 20% of the room rate! I haven't yet experienced this stuff so it might be normal for other hotels too. Breakfast was nice, with nice quality stuff, however don't expect an awful lot on offer as hotel is smaller than some other that can be found nearby. All in all Hotel Solny is a decent and quite place, I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't raise high hopes for a one or two night stay near Kraków or Wieliczka.

Stayed here on business and booked one nite just because decent venues in the area had beed sold out. Not worth a fully-fledged review. Pretty clean - and that exhausts the list of pluses. Avoid, if possible.

The one night stay was all right. There were almost no people and the hotel was very quiet. I liked the calm neighbourhood. Reception was friendly. The room was big with two separate beds. As a rule breakfast at Polish hotels is superb and usually you can get hot food :)

Hotel is situated near route 94 leading to/from Krakow which is a plus. The neighbourhood is rather mediocre, mostly 1 floor grey residential building. The parking lot was small and sometimes, when all guests are in, it can be a problem to find a parking space. The room (we took a double room) was quite big, but low (around 2 meters high). Could be cleaner, but all in all it was OK for the money we paid for it. There were two separate beds, so if you want a double bed, you must tell it earlier while reserving the room and they will join the beds for you. The breakfast was nice, nothing extraordinary, but worth the money. A big plus for the people working at the reception, very kind and helpful.
