Although the room was a good size, it was not well maintained. Shower holder was broken and obviously had been for some time. Also, black mould on shower sealant showed lack of care as did the mattresses which were stained. Walls were very thin so that you could hear people speaking in adjoining rooms. Worse thing is that room did not have air conditioning and not even a fan was provided. How a 4 star hotel does not offer AC as standard is unbelievable, especially a hotel in the south of CZ where summers get very hot. Breakfast was disappointing - supposed to run from 7 to 10, but if you got there close to 9 or after, then many items had run out.

the hotel is absolutely unsuitable for meeting in summer, if the temperature reaches more than 30 degrees. Meeting rooms without air conditioning. Absolute hell. The staff did their best, but the mobile air conditioning is not enough. In addition, some meeting rooms are no longer available. Coffee break-not having a snack in a room where it's 30 degrees is only for the brave. Breakfast room restaurant-under the roof, again no air conditioning.Restaurant and wine cellar-unbreathable, no air conditioning. Rooms-have seen better days. The bathroom and especially the showers could use a good sanitation. 4 *? No way. Lunch and dinner buffets were good. The hotel staff was quite nice.
However, the presence of a bathrobe and slippers in the room was nice. Also, the rooftop whirpol and swimming pool with a beautiful view was great.

Stayed here for three days for a conference (in hotel) and it was all very good. Hotel is larger than it looks, and has pleasant modern rooms. There is some inter-room noise, but that is not unusual for hotels. We ate here numerous times, and buffet breakfast and lunches were good. The wine cellar is pleasant, although can be noisy with around 100 people and a folk music group! The staff were all helpful and pleasant.

We had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. My daugther loves swimming that’s why we booked a triple room here. At check-in they told us we could use the pool until it closes at 8pm. However when we arrived to the pool the wellness receptionist stopped us and said children cannot use it after 3pm! We went back in the morning and while my daugther swam I wanted to use the sauna however saunas can only be used after 3pm! So you cannot use all the facilities at all if you have a child. The room did not have air condition and it was boiling hot inside. Don’t know how this hotel got 4 stars it was more like 2 stars. The only positive was the breakfast which was satisfactory.

Horrible Hotel. 92 degrees outside and close to 100 inside. Hotel promised they fixed the AC and to send a repair man … neither happened. On a high end tour and this did not any minimum standard There is a decent roof top pool with jacuzzis. Breakfast is good enough.

We stayed here for one night during our week trip from Prague to Vienna. We were less than impressed. The hotel itself is old and the rooms are dated. Unbeknown to us and as we later found out, the A/C goes off early evening. With no A/C and no fan in the room I had the worst sleep. Opening the window gave no reprieve being extremely hot outside. We wanted to use the swimming pool but unfortunately Monday's are the day they clean the facility. By the way, if you want to swim in the afternoon you will be charged- even as a guest of the hotel. ( never seen that before) Breakfast is served in a large room that feels more like a high school cafeteria. The breakfast buffet has tons of options. The best option being freshly made pancakes. We were less than impressed with the watery coffee after loving or coffee in Prague. I will not be returning to Hotel Galant

We were visiting Mikulov for a family wedding and chose to stay at Hotel Galant for its pool and lovely views. We were really looking forward to our trip and the promise of 3 nights in the luxury of 4* hotel as both my husband and I work really hard and are happy to pay extra to get properly looked after. We were really disappointed. The rooms had cheap and shabby furnishings, the air conditioning was only capable to bring the room temperature below 24 degrees C. There was NO airconditioning in the breakfast room. After the first night our rooms did not get cleaned, only the beds were made. The used water and coffee were not replaced. The staff were not prepared to go out of their way to help and bearly spoke English. We requested an ironing board and an iron and my husband had to go downstairs to fetch it. We asked for a taxi to be booked only to be handed a card with a phone number with the words. "Hope they speak English"...... On the last afternoon of our stay we wanted to relax by the pool and I went to use the outside shower which as I later found out by the shouting staff was out of use. I was made to feel very stupid and unwelcome by the waitress after that by her behavior towards me when I asked if I could have a cocktail that was not on the menu. We are a nice, friendly family of 4 who were out to have a great time and are prepared to pay for it. Following our stay at Hotel Galant we can honestly say that this is NOT a 4* hotel and we would never come back. The staff working there need to go and experience for themselves how a proper hotel looks after people.

Hotel with service that is no way 4****. Three nights no hot water, not working ventilation in bathroom, last drop was molded bread at breakfast. Not even mentioning that coffee is not drinkable. Room interiors not even mentioning. Used ugly 90’s. Worst was that staff did not seem to care at all..... Things can happen, but its all about the attitude. Generally entire Mikulov was disappointment - beautiful city spoiled by poor service all over the place. Businesses here seem to rely on the fact that every other day new people come..... Kuk bistro is only place I can recommend - nice coffee, great cakes, pleasant staff.
