Spent 2 nights for Wellness stay, to get away from all the Christmas madness. The Hotel was totally full during the week ( mostly young families with small kids) - so no relax happened. Can not imagine how it looks like in the weekends... Rooms and bathrooms are small - compared to Orea in Sumava where we stayed in November 2022 there was a significant difference. Food was average - cold eggs and bacon for the breakfast, or dry cakes is not what you expect from 4star Hotel. Extremely overpriced drinks and snacks at the Oak Bar. (waiting for 10 minutes to actually get noticed by the bar staff). Tiny Wellness area for such a huge hotel, crowded with the kids. If you seek the relax and decent food, dont opt for this hotel.
That was a great experience. The hotel is clean and comfortable and the surroundings are beautiful. the all team is very polite with a special for Andrea who was just a delight. Thank you very much for a lovely experience.
In this hotel, price is not low. The standard of food is not great. Desserts and pastry items were not top notch. The room is spacious with good view. Bar person was knowledgeable. We need more refinement for prices charged.
We stayed at Orea hotel Horal for 4 nights with 3 kids (1 yo, 3 yo and 6 yo). We chose family room, which was perfect option for us. The infant bed was provided by the hotel. I did an online check in - when we came we got the cardkeys to the room very quickly - kids didn’t even had a chance to get bored and You got all the necessary info for your stay on their online portal (such as opening hours of spa, kids room and restaurant, closest medical services, managing of check out, etc). The family room was perfectly clean - the only thing I could complain about is the fact that the bed isn’t double bed but just two beds put together. We had an amazing view to Svaty Petr from the room. The kids room was very good and close to our room, all of our kids enjoyed it. There is also kids club everyday with Eliska the fox and a minidisco in the evening two times per week. The spa area is very clean and spacious, though it can get a little bit crowded during main seasons. The buffet breakfast and dinner were delicious and option to make a lunch to take with you on the trip is just a very good idea. The restaurant was clean and very well managed. Don’t forget to head into the bar as you can get amazing drinks there.…
The hotel is very nice, everything looks new and it's clean. Food is also good, they offer a full fledged breakfast, buffet dinner and a la carte options. Additionally during the breakfast buffet they already invite the guests to make sandwiches to take away for the day, providing little paper boxes. That's just awesome. My minor complaints: 1) All bread offered during breakfast feels one day old. It doesn't feel 100% fresh. 2) The hotel charges for parking. They have vast amount of space around the hotel and it's remotely located. Charging for parking in there is kind of an abuse. 3) At the reception they have a little cage with a rabbit. The cage is half a square metter and it's way too little to keep the animal confined 24hs a day. I felt quite bad for the animal. It has no space to walk around, and the cage is located at the reception where lights are on 24hs a day also. Whenever we get close to the cage the animal was desperately chewing the metal cage trying to find a way out. It's borderline animal cruelty and It just doesn't feel right. I hope the hotel can find a bigger habitat for the rabbit.…
The hotel has been renovated for a few years, this was our second stay, so we knew a bit what we were getting into. But we did not expect that the product has changed into a family hotel for families with children so much that we as a couple will feel out of place and where I really did not find value for money at the price of 250 EUR per night. We knew that the rooms are small rooms, even the mini-bathroom is ok, but the quality of sleep is terrible. I never understand why you buy the cheapest duvets and pillows when renovating - the price difference is tiny for better quality. When you say you have a Nespresso in your room, I expect Nespresso there and not a cheap substitute. However, the renovation of the common areas is very successful, the hotel is otherwise pleasant, the staff tried to provide service, especially the front office manager at the reception and the ladies at the bar. The restaurant, on the other hand, is a battleground for places where finding a clean table is an art, the quality of food especially at breakfast is very cheap, the wait for coffee is long with one lady operating the coffee machine. We went to dinner only once, we chose, the taste was fine. The fact that the Spa is overcrowded with children and there is nowhere to lie down is clear if this is your primary guest and I'm sorry at the price of 250 EUR per night another 1000 CZK for two to the mini non-public Spa where there are a few beds I have to pay didn't want to. Wonderful view from the hotel facing Stoh mountain.…
Very nice hotel, great service and very nice and professional staff!! Just perfect, greatly recommended!! The view is...beautiful! Great activities for childeren..This group knows what they are doing!
+ Great views, wonderful interior, everything is new an modern. - not enough space in Wellness (we were off season in April and we couldn’t find any single seat until 6pm ) - Very poor service - we had half board and we’ve asked a waitress to book a table next to the window for 20:30. When we came at 20:30 another waiter told us, that the dinner was over. (it might be our fault, because we didn’t look up, till what time is the dinner, but at the same time the waitress made for us a reservation for dinner, that’s why we didn’t expect, that it finishes at 20:30. )When we asked, if we could eat something, they were very disturbed, because they were already taking all the food from the tables. They let us take, what was still there, but at the end of the day the food quality was bad(more in the pictures). We almost didn’t eat anything and we went to the hotel restaurant to order something. Guess what? The menu was almost the same, what what served for dinner… After it we decided to go to the hotel bar (because a waitress told us that the menu there is different). We’ve decided to order a club sandwich and a Caesar salad and we told it to the bar waitress. She looked not happy with what we’ve told and asked, why don’t go and order it in the restaurant next to the bar? It was quite rude, but we told her, that we don’t want to it there. Surprisingly, but the food it the bar was good and fresh, drinks were also good. To sum up, it was a good hotel, with great views, but bad buffet food (both breakfast and dinner) and bad staff.…
The hotel itself is beautiful and modern. The rooms are fantastic and so is the view from the balconies, but the staff although polite, need some more training. Most of the staff are trainees and they make a lot of mistakes. Examples: 1) Receptionist trainee forgot to register my HB upgrade in the system, and that caused me to go back and forth between the Reception and the restaurant to resolve it 2) Restaurant waitress trainee does not know how the wine she serves is called 3) The food was often cold and tasteless. Stone cold eggs and bacon for breakfast, stale pastries. Spaghetti with tomato sauce for dinner was so sweet that it gave the impression they put sugar instead of salt in it (like how can you screw tomato sauce up??! A kid could make it...). 4) Be careful with the beds. They advertise a double bed on Booking, yet they offer single beds next to each other, not even a double mattress to connect them. Had to fight with the manager to prove my point.…
Hotel stuff is very kind at every situation. Very tasty meal and very large selection from cold-hot, vegetable, fruit, sweet-salt meals, several types of jam, soup, chees, etc. We were very satisfied with the cuisine. After a walk in winter countryside, we used hotel wellness - sauna and whirlpool. Whirlpool offers very nice glazed view of the landscape. After sauna you can use a terrace with snow to cool down. The only negative thing was animation programs for children during dinners so you cannot enjoy the meal and despite the fact that the hotel offers several children's playrooms, children were noisy till the evening (10:00 p.m.) in the hotel corridors. But all in all we were satisfied and I can definitely recommend this hotel.
